He's obviously got talent, but I never like watching Foden for England.

We don't have enough players who've experienced overseas leagues. It's not a lack of skill or desire, it's knowing more about dealing with different styles of play.

Quality breakaway goal tbf.

Chilwell's been better tonight so far. A good fit for that inverted full back role. Just hope he doesn't shoot.

Remembering When LCFC Moved From Filbert Street

In the end Barry was proven right, but I can partly understand why some at the time felt that 40,000 was too big. In the 80s we struggled to get 16 or 17,000 for certain games, even in the top flight. Different times. -
Not a fan of this away kit against a team in blue.

Fair point, but interesting that for the second goal it was Faes who cleared with a header, and Vesty who passed the ball to the opposition. At the moment the board seems to have the viewpoint Vesty can do no wrong, and Faes is our weak point. I'm still trusting in Enzo's judgement.

One of the characters in the Slaughtered Lamb, in that great film An American Werewolf in London.

Could it be permission rights only allow them to show x minutes of in-play action? Seems strange that the default policy appears to be show as much waffle as possible.

They're closing high street stores up and down the country, and concentrating on station and airport venues. Which is probably a smart move, as they can sell stuff to the captive audience that wouldn't fly elsewhere.

John Cooper Clarke - I wanna be yours. Halfway through and totally impressed. As you may guess, his use of the English language is great. His memory of people is astounding too. He remembers everyone's names going back to the 50s/60s when he was a kid at school. I struggle to remember names of folk I worked wit just 10 years ago. Very nostalgic.

Stolarczyk : Reminiscing of Shilton Days

I'm impressed. A Millwall fan knows the name of our 3rd choice goalkeeper. -
I can't quite see him being a top-notch manager, but in his defence he's never been in a position to sign players. The amount of managers over the years who are rated by everyone, but have been able to sign plenty of players, is huge.

I'm still trying to see the bad side of Mr Maresca. Every manager has his favourites, but EM seems to give plenty of chances to squad players. Maybe he's not always spot on when choosing who to substitute, but there again he's privy to info (injuries, fatigue etc) that we don't have. We really didn't deserve such a top-rate manager after getting relegated. Recruitment has played a blinder on this.

Wouldn't rule out a sneaky £90 million bid from Man U though.

Hate to see this. Forest looking inventive and combative.

And don't bet on a away Leicester win in the Cup. 90 minutes result only. -
I have to admit I've been negative about parts of his game. Great to see he's found his niche. Although I seem to remember he played a blinder in central defence once - Brendan never played him there again.

Some good talent on the bench too. Someone called Thomas - not Luke is it? -
I must admit I find it difficult to relate to players who are seemingly* happy to coast along on a big contract. Since the games are being watched, they'd only need to play out of their skins for a few months in order to get a big money move to Chelsea or Man U etc. * Of course I'm probably being unfair to them, and they really haven't the skills or attributes to succeed at the top. In either case it shows we misjudged matters in making the signing.

I was in that end (was it all called the family enclosure, or just that corner sections? I was more behind the goal) because I couldn't get a ticket for my normal Main Stand location. Giving Shrewsbury fans pen 2 made it difficult to get tickets anywhere in the ground. I was slightly older at the time (into early 20s) but was also exhausted after watching the game. Yeah me too. Over-optimistic. We were destroyed on the day by Hoddle's passing, despite Ardiles being a bit flakey (on account of the Falkland booing). Didn't help that Ian Wilson scored a golazo in the wrong net.

It's hard not to feel some sympathy for the other boys in blue losing their cup final. But I'm managing it.
