  3. In case anyone's interested in the full draw: FA Cup fifth-round draw in full Blackburn Rovers or Wrexham v Newcastle United Chelsea or Aston Villa v Leeds United or Plymouth Argyle Bournemouth v Leicester City Liverpool or Norwich v Watford or Southampton Bristol City or Nottingham Forest v Newport County or Manchester United Wolverhampton Wanderers v Brighton & Hove Albion Sheffield Wednesday or Coventry City v Maidstone United Luton Town v Manchester City
  4. Takes longer to warm those balls up than they realised...
  5. Augurs well for our future, to have so many promising young players in the setup - Cover, Nelson, McAteer, Alves, and Raikhy. Hopefully they can be the next Barnes/Chilwell/KDH examples.
  6. He's been wined and dined on the beach somewhere?
  7. If we keep him, will we be told it's like a new signing?
  8. Would the likes of Pool, Newcastle or Arsenal really go for KDH? Possibly yes, probably no. Maybe Brighton is the best offer he can reasonably expect.
  9. Haven't we got Alves and McAteer back available? Maybe even Soumare! Tbh £35m must be very tempting. From this thread I think we all realise what a good player KDH is. Just hope he doesn't get told about FT match meltdowns.
  10. Hope so. Otherwise they may look around for a young promising manager with experience of managing in English football.
  11. Wish him well. Hope he makes the grade at Brough.
  12. That's why, but doesn't really pin down the year (or decade). I suspect it started after the fans zones were introduced in a WC or EC.
  13. A thread to ask general questions and pick the brains of our footballing hive... My question: Does anyone know when the concept of "away pubs" started? Away Games | Away Pubs
  14. For some strange reason the fanbase here never really took to him. I suppose he was a big contrast to Jock Wallace. But we played good football, had a decent mid-table team in the end, and you always felt we had a chance of beating a bigger team like Arsenal or Liverpool. After he moved on it all went pear-shaped.
  15. Maybe it allows Leeds to sign him from Chelsea...

The Russians used to have a similar attitude to the Polish nation back in the day.
  17. My top favourite is "Skip Ad"
  18. Good old Swithland Motors. Went to school with Ricky (director) the old rogue.
  19. Yes. Once we get the likes of Man City, Utd and Chelsea out of the Premiership, it becomes a fairer playing field. Let the Harlem Globetrotters have their own league (like in Saudi Arabia) and we can return to proper football.
  20. I like to google Sidnei Tavares from time to time, to see where he's at. Apparently he's now playing for Colorado Rapids! Hope he's having fun in Denver, must be a great place to live.
  21. Heh. Since he's a west London product, could be that Gaffney is a Chelsea fan? Or Man U I suppose. Edit: Seems he's a Brentford fan. Fair play.
  22. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but I really think Trump's health is going to decay badly this year (partly because of poor choices he's made). The Republicans really need to think hard about their alternative leader. Having said that Sleepy Joe doesn't look too resilient either.
  23. People carrying "The end is nigh!" sandwich boards. Which probably is an indicator that the end is nigh!
  24. I appreciate this may depend on where you live, but I'm finding the opposite with many of the youngsters around here in London. I often get a young person offering me their seat on the bus or Tube. Of course it may be because I now look a doddery old phart...
