Although it's going back a bit, I'm always a little surprised that Eddie Kelly doesn't get nominated, and the Youngs, Linekers and Lynexes do (accept they were all great players to watch). In modern times I think Mahrez has been the most skillful player we've had, but because of his poor off-field antics, going to plump for Vardy. A great player, and he snubbed the Arsenal too!

Wouldn't go that far. I normally look for the weak point in the team - theoretically there isn't one, unless Gray and/or Chilwell have one of their stinkers... If they perform as well as they can we should walk this - but the flipside is they could let us down again. As always an interesting lineout from Claude.

To me he's worth more to a team (not just ours) than Beckham was, and we remember how much money he was able to command ... Surprised really that a big team hasn't come in for him.

Since they are both on the bench they should get their chance if James/Albrighton don't shine.

I'm annoyed with the whole story, but I want to see Mahrez playing and performing asap for Leicester again. Not least because our chance of getting a reasonable (enough to buy a replacement) transfer fee at the season-end depends on him playing well.

Nailed it. Obviously I won't be jeering Mahrez (assuming he performs as he can) but it's very annoying to see how Man City have done this. If they'd put in a bid two weeks ago, fine, but the timing was almost guaranteed to unsettle our team.

I don't think Man City were serious with their bid. For whatever reason they wanted to unsettle us, and it worked. If they were serious Mahrez would now be a Man City player.
