  1. Don’t think we sold out either of our charity shield matches? Even with it on general sale which apparently allows the hundreds of thousands of city fans to access matches. I agree, a flexible approach to the charity shield host venues sounds good, this coming from someone who didn’t qualify for a ticket to the cup final in 2021. There’s no way Man U v Man City should at Wembley in august, pointless exercise other than to grab money
  2. Nah, everyone will just keep saying ‘the game is gone’ online over and over again. Whilst renewing their STs of course
  3. That is absolutely fantastic. Once again confirms the principle that markets move quicker than regulation. Hats off
  4. Hahaha my colleague at work has been showing us everyday. It is insane!!! It’s my first dose of social media conspiracy theories.
  5. Sounds great, I think I have been to the Royal Oak in Marylebone, down a side street? I defo did not have a Harvey's though, love their cask. Enjoy your day
  6. This tournament has been wonderfully entertaining. On and off the field
  7. Except these idiots at JSO will be seen as part of the problem. When they do things like this to farm Insta likes, create branding opportunities and partnerships, get into the media and appear on podcasts to line their own pockets, it makes the work of us who are actually trying to change standards that much harder. Quite rightly, these PR stunts turn people off the core message, and tar everyone who is working in climate adaptation and resilience with the same brush. JSO care about short-term branding opportunities and media coverage to create revenue streams, NOT the whole planet burning.
  8. Hopefully some fun cities in Europe
  9. So get a better news app??? I have ft notifications, they don’t tell you that prince William is a father on Father’s Day lol.
  10. If that’s as good as you’ll get I’d like to try it. Dortmund was brilliant, Munich is something else so far
  11. How can you be this angry about an app that you’ve actively downloaded, and notifications you can actively disable
  12. It’s been two years since our European adventure, I’d forgotten how addictive football trips are. Germany is built for football and beer. Loving the euros thus far.
  13. Can of becks from a German airport vending machine surrounded by English people. Tournaments are great
  14. That would be amazing. Wizz air fly from Luton, presumably this doesn’t fit your schedule
  15. I would very much like Scotland to do well. Dunno why
  16. And this is why machines will take all our jobs. If humans believe any old crap any old manager tells them, like ‘it’s law to ask what type of sausage roll the customer wants’ what use do we have in paid employment
  17. Haha. You are right ofc and I’m acting out because all day it was 38 outside and I for some reason needed an extra layer whilst inside. I was leaving all doors open to let the hot air indoors. Going outside at any opportunity to feel the heat. Heating is also for weak people and I have the heating on 10 months a year
  18. Nice!! Having been to Mykonos, santorini and Crete, I was kicking myself for wasting money on these sanitised, bland, fun for all the family, free airport shuttle bus hell holes. Would defo be up for going to an actual Greek island. Will investigate your suggestion
  19. Athens is fun and brilliantly sunny, 38 degrees. Can feel my body dethawing. Annoyingly being here for work, having to spend most of the day in overly air conditioned rooms with an extra layer is terrible. AC really is for weak people. I had no idea Greeks (well, the ones I’m with) also dislike the poxy islands like santorini. They go to islands I’ve never heard of on hol. Another place tourists have ruined
  20. Only ever stayed in premier inn Gatwick north. Typical airport hotel, does the job
  21. I like Gatwick, usually a decent experience. Fly out of there minimum once a month so pretty used to it now.
  22. Take it from someone who’s main fear in life is needles, it really is painless. I s**t myself far more at the covid jab and other travel jabs, I don’t even feel the blood needle going in. Also free biscuits = feast. I have biscuits, chocolates, few bags of crisps after every donation min
  23. I am the signatory to a long term lease option on a corporate property in Chennai. There’s no way I’m going to go there and claim I’m part of the community with poorly angled social media snaps. Technically true but wholly misleading
  24. It’s a totally misleading post designed to drive the reader down a pathway he knows is not true. He’s not ‘part of the community’ he’s on holiday for a month. He’s not paying council tax, he’s not charged the address on his driving licence and bank accounts, updated the electoral register and he doesn’t even know when bin day is. I’m in Athens for a few days for work, going to tell my greek colleagues I’m part of the community from my hotel bathtub. Technically true?
