  1. Absolutely pathetic. The culture across the whole organisation is weak, no accountability.
  2. I have often thought, after sacking Nige if we had gone for O’Neill, he would have an even greater God-like status here. I think he may have ruled himself out of the job at the time, he must regret that now. Even if we hadn’t have won the league, we wouldn’t know any better than staying up, so any Top 4 / 6 place finish would have seemed crazy. There are definite parallels between the squads within playing styles as well, Guppy/Albrighton, Walsh & Elliott / Huth & Morgan, Mahrez / Izzet, Lennon /Kante. O’Neill would have got a lot out of those players.
  3. I’m staying strong! I’ve still not bought one. You’d imagine they’re announcing players by the day to build up to something. I don’t expect Vards to play, but his last games on the 24th. His contract doesn’t end until the end of June, so I suppose it is feasible that he could do a 10 minute cameo. They must know they’ll get hammered if at least one of Vardy, Schmeichel, Kante or Mahrez don’t play.
  4. Haven’t bought a ticket, had no intention of buying a ticket… …just watched the Vardy documentary 🥹I’m weakening!
  5. Thought they might give it a go tonight, maybe out of pride? Shame? - but no, they’re strolling around half-heartedly. We’re a horrible team, get rid of them all. im getting angry watching them
  6. I’ve heard it’s going to be him as well. Brum have got bigger ambitions, and are sacking him after the final game of the season, rumour is it’s a done deal to come to us. It might be BS, but we’ll see.
  7. The players need to take their share of responsibility, most are currently “earning” 2-3 times more than the other players in the division, and next year will be taking home 5-6 times more than their L1 counterparts. They need driving out of the club. a rendition of “Get out of our club” with something like: ”You wage stealing b*******” or ”You lazy s*** b*******” … should get the message across. Throw in the odd Jordan James song to make it clear he is literally the only player we will miss.
  8. Just seen the video now. The blokes stopped playing for 3 consecutive managers, he is probably earning the combined weekly wage of a whole team in L1. When you’re an easy target like him, keep your head down, look/be remorseful and get on the bus. In true Winks style though, he waits until he gets on the bus steps, turns back and gets brave. He is a huge bag of the proverbial.
  9. I can however confirm that there was indeed a circus in the town, Robert Maxwell did drown and Derby County did go down, however I do not have access to 86 year old Arthur Cox’s medical files to confirm or deny any allegations regarding chronic bacterial infections 😳
  10. LCFC loans XI (Since 1988) Best loan players we’ve had (Not before or after, that’s why Kane/Lingaard don’t count) Unless I’m forgetting players, It would appear that we haven’t had many good defenders on loan. Many horror shows at the back - McGivern, Fenwick, Madden, Bennett, Van Aarnholt, Hooper in goal. Cracking midfield though and not bad upfront. Martin Fulop Gary Charles Alexander Dragovic Robert Huth Kyle Naughton Mark Davies Youri Tielemanns Jordan James Muzzy Izzett Yakubu Kevin Campbell Honourable mentions to Micky Galloway, Nathan Dyer and Tom Cleverley. Any changes?
  11. It needs a complete rebuild. If we could persuade him and afford him, I’d look at Mark Robins. He completely rebuilt Cov, he knows the division and the club. It’s whether he’d want it tho. King’s a ‘Yes man’, he was as a player and I don’t think he’d be strong enough as a manager. I know others have said he (Robins) wouldn’t touch it, but I’d still argue that our infrastructure (Training ground/stadium) gives us an advantage over Stoke, but that won’t count for much in 2-3 years time, when the playing squad and budget diminishes further. It’d be worth asking the question, I’d say.
  12. I’ve mainly gone for players that are d-heads rather than just bad footballers, that’s why Akinbiyi / Lewis don’t get a mention. Manager - Brendan Rodgers He should be one of the clubs greatest ever managers. I should love him because he gave my dad the chance to see Leicester win the FA cup. I just can’t get over the belief that he deliberately sabotaged us in that final season. (2-0 up v Brentford & not making subs, playing Amartey and Thomas all season, freezing out better players, Danny F-in Ward) Danny Ward - could have left & had a career lower down the leagues. Decided to stay on big wages & then asked to be left out after the Wolves game because he was 5h1t. Daniel Amartey - Left us and now at 31 to the best of my knowledge no-one else has signed him on. That’s how bad he is/was. Jonny Evans - If Brendan Rodgers was a player…. When the going gets tough Jonny goes into hiding. Very good player, but it happened at Man U, at West Brom and then barely played for us when things got tough. Miraculously was fit for a Cup Final cameo though. Matt Mills - He thought he was better than he was. Bit of a a-hole in the dressing room, I’ve heard. His appearances on podcasts supports that. Alan Rogers - Overweight and slow as a player, supports Forest and slags off Leicester fans on SM platforms. N08h3ad Ben Marshall - See Matt Mills. Dennis Wise - No explanation needed. Harry Winks - Another one that has never held down a place in a Prem team, yet thinks he’s something special. Also fallen out with 3 managers here, one common denominator here! Luke Thomas - Perhaps harsh, but another that’s taken a lot of money out of the club, and has delivered very little (Over 7-8 yrs). If someone offered me the money he’s had over the years, tbh I’d take it, but unfortunately that also means taking the heat when you’re out of your depth. David Speedie - Not for the penalty, but many people forget that after leaving us, he retired, became an agent, then started tapping up our players for moves. Jermaine Beckford - Maybe harsh as well, but he never looked like he wanted to be here.
  13. It’s like we’re just waiting to get beat
  14. Fed up of listening to this commentator tell us about Coventry “dominating the ball” for the 5th time, only to see we’ve had 51% possession and 3-4 clear cut chances.
  15. It’s so worrying how bad we are. Our team that got promoted was a weak Premier League side, but from that team the folllowing players won’t be playing tomorrow; Hermanson, Ricardo, Vestergaard, Dewsbury-Hall, Winks, Fatawu, Mavididi How many players playing tomorrow do we have that are as good as, or better than any of these? El Khannous - that’s about it.
  16. I think West Ham and Everton changing managers brings them back into it. I firmly believe that Dyche would have kept Everton up, I wouldn't have Moyes down as a quick fix manager and could see them getting sucked into it. Also without Antonio, Bowen and a new manager, it could go either way for West Ham. I'm not saying we'll definitely stay up, but i think this helps us. Wednesday is huge for us, it could really kick-start our season. We've got winnable games coming up and lots of teams around us are earlier in their transition than us (Wolves, Soton, WHU, Everton). We must make it count
  17. Vards hardly ever plays on Boxing Day. I think he's started 1 out of the last 5. Purely speculation, but I suspect there's an agreement in place. When he went down in the last 5 v Wolves, I thought this would happen... (or he could just be injured again at Christmas!)
  18. Our squad is as weak as it has been for 10+ years, however there's enough there to make it competitive. We've just got to be better than the teams around us, who are all equally rubbish - Soton, Ipswich, Palace, wolves, Everton I think these players would play a significant part in the squad of 10-12 prem teams - Mads, Okoli, Buonanotte, Fatawu These players would be in and around the matchday team/squad of the bottom six sides - Vardy, Ricardo, Vestergaard, Coady, Winks, Skipp, Ndidi, Mavididi, That's enough to make a go of it, we just need someone to give them a bit of structure, confidence and hope.
  19. Danny Ward has just kept a clean sheet and saved 3 penalties! That is absolutely mind boggling. Stranger than fiction!
  20. I was of the opinion that Cooper was a good appointment and we would at least be competitive. However, I watched the full game today and it is difficult to express how poor we were without sounding hysterical and dramatising it. We simply couldn't make 2 passes unless Madds was one of those passes. We couldn't get out of our own defensive third, let alone our own half. I am also concerned by Cooper coming out and telling everyone we need new players. Yes, we do, but it screams of Rodgers and refusing to take responsibility for the job. He signed up for it, we all know where we are, but alienating the only people that can get us moving is the wrong way of going about it. A very bad day today, let's hope it galvanises us to scrap for every ball next week, because I don't think we can rely on our quality on the pitch to stay up.
  21. Undoubtedly, it is going to be a very tough season; however, are we going to be any worse than the year we came down, even with a 4-6 point deduction? Whilst we had far more able players in Madison, Barnes, Tielemans etc, there was a huge question mark over their application and efforts over the season. Coupled with Ward, Amartey, Thomas and Soumare playing most weeks, surely we are in a slightly better position than then. We also don't have a manager in charge with the hump and imo, playing for a pay-off. Faes was probably our key centre back that year, we would have loved to have Coady and to have signed a young and keen centre back. Yes, it'll be tough but bring in a No.10 and/or a striker and we're well in the mix. I predict we'll keep our heads above water and float around 13th-17th place
  22. Wowzers, I know everyone's got an opinion, but if we're going into the Prem with JJ, Kristenson and Vesty at the back with Hamza protecting them, it's going to be a long season 🤢
  23. Steve Cooper for me. He did a great job within the England Youth set-up, and would probably still have enough contact with England to persuade young players aged 18-23 with something to prove to join. He did a great job at Forest. Bottom of the Champ when he joined, they're certainly no better off without him. He also had to mould a team out of 25 new players when they went up, many of whom he didn't want. Not too dissimilar to what he'd need to do here. With his coaching expertise, he has the set up here to really make a difference. It would really annoy Forest as well if he came here and was a success.
  24. Gary Megson was poached by Bolton.
  25. He should be hailed as one of our greatest ever managers for winning the Cup and the 5th placed finishes, I felt all year he was playing for the sack. Top Premier League managers don't play Ward, Thomas, Amartey etc and expect to pick up results, he knew exactly what he was doing.
