'The Blues Brothers' is not a particularly good movie.

Lack luster transfer window (and no big name signings)
CarbonVirtine replied to Evington Fosse Fox's topic in Transfer Talk
Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha is a pretty big name, that'll do me. -
Tbh, I'd have neither said anything nor had a moral dilemma (let alone posted about it!) Shoplifting happens, for a myriad of reasons. Not my place to do/say anything, neither do I have the inclination to concern myself about it. But then I'm not a shop keeper.

Seriously? "Proven starters" from which division? Because that's big bucks, not to mention disruption, if you're talking Prem proven. You don't bring in that number of 'proven' players without risking upsetting what you have. Nah, we're doing all right. Another one, maybe two, new faces (and an equal number out) but I reckon I'd start the season happily with what we have. Assess the situation for the Jan window. Slowly slowly.

I'm sure someone saw something in him otherwise we'd not have signed him. Beats me though, I've not seen anything to merit what we paid. That said, I've only seen him for us. I accept that we don't play to his strengths but even so, you'd expect someone a little more multifaceted for that kind of dosh... and it was 'back then' dosh too.

I just completed this quiz. My Score 50/100 My Time 68 seconds

I was listening to Thomas Voeckler (and his is a pretty common view in France) there's also an anger at Sky 'buying' victories (being able to afford the super-domestiques etc) with their budget AND at the manner in which Sky win (in the mountains) It's seen as sapping the sport of its panache. I see it as partly a cultural difference. Tradition is a big part of life in France and this is reflected in cycling. Sky are seen as being somewhat disrespectful of cycling's tradition.

What @ttfn says. Talk of a Mahrez replacement does my head in (besides, if we wanted one of those we'd be recruiting in airport waiting lounges, ho ho). The team needs reshaping and rebalancing. We're in the process of doing that. Let's just chill a bit and see what comes of it.

I reckon that says more about your fantasies than the thread.

Gerrimout! £40m, cripes I'd take half that! But it's silly talk innit?

France v Croatia - World Cup Final

Worth it just to see Lloris's fek up. -
Has he gone now?

Is he still here?

Seems like a a Kardashian wannabe to me. Which, as people to wannabe go, says a bit in itself. But I'd wager 'our sweet prince' is none too bright so maybe he doesn't look any further than her tits/arse anyway.

He looks pretty relaxed too - he knows what he's doing! Bless him, he's still a kid at heart, with a youthful enthusiasm to match. Got to envy that!

HELP is at hand for General PC queries, not Foxestalk ones

Sorta kinda true... Chromebooks are designed with internet connectivity and cloud storage in mind, so whilst you can create documents etc, the design intention is for them not to be stored on the Chromebook itself. That said, Chromebooks have a small amount of local storage available and (some?) can use USB drives/sticks and SD cards. IMHO, Chromebooks have their place and their uses but you have to be very sure they suit your intended purposes. I thought for a while about buying one as it would have worked for me for maybe 90% of my uses but that 10% would have required me to have had another laptop - so it didn't make sense for me. I ended up buying a refurbished Thinkpad. -
Too true. Nor are we ever likely to find out what was holding the deal up (agent fees, loyalty bonus, etc etc etc) Tbh, whilst I do wish him well, I will be glad to see him gone. He hasn't really been here for some time now anyway. The squad we have, and are still building, need to focus and Mahrez was a distraction. The king is dead etc, we move on.

Croatia v Denmark round of 16 match thread

Kasper did WAY better than I expected. I thought Croatia the better team so, for me anyway, the better team goes through. -

Oh, but whilst reminded, I find 'Perfect Day' a tad meh and certainly over used.
