“There’s no loyalty in football anymore”
Paninistickers replied to Phube's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agree. Though strangely it should work the other way. 100k a year to 130k a year is helluva difference back in the 80s. Yet they didn't move as much as a 21st century PL player already set up for life yet chooses 11m a year over 10m a year. -
Hundreds. If not thousands.
-
It's an odd one. Chelsea buy a left back for 50 odd million every summer. Sometimes two. All for a manager that despises full backs
-
Just a general comment. Players don't really give a shit about managerial, or player, transfers. They'll be fine. It's a selfish business is football. The likes of Winks, KDH, Vesty etc al, who've all benefitted under Enzo, won't bat an eyelid.

City of Leicester & Leicestershire - The Good and Historical Stuff

Still think me and Soulsby are right. But then I'm an outlier. I like his cycle lanes and train station plans too. -

No plan could surely involve turfing out a permanent trader Is there that many? Not that I got to the market much (as it's dreadful) but can't be more than 30 traders surely. For me, they'll be better branded as boutiquey homestead stalls alongside the independents of silver street and the arcades. It's a natural fit. And the city gets a potentially very impressive open piazza to boot. I can see only upsides -

This Soulsby idea with the market. I know the knee jerkers in the Mercury will slag anything he does, but he's got this bang on right. We have a potential piazza where market place is and, using one stone for two crows, he can shift the market towards the boutiquey St Martin's (and more artisan food hall) and give the down-at-heel market a huge uplift Credit where it's due. I hope he sees it through and doesn't bow down to the usual Leicester naysaying -
I wanted him sacked. And when we went up, I was hoping he'd leave one way or another. Legacy intact. All leave as friends. Was a good season for both parties. We are both happier apart than together. Wins all round

He was mugged off by a quarter of the Division's managers who each had players who wouldn't event make our bench. If you combined the entire starting xi of Millwall, Plymouth, Bristol, Blackburn ....they'd have around 2 players max in our team. The rest wouldn't even .Ake our bench. Yet each manager easily outfoxed Enzo. This is an extraordinary bit of luck for our football club. 10m for a.man who'd we'd have been paying off in October.
-
Bearing in mind we might get 10m compo, if we can .move on Souttar (needs to be 12m for profit on amortisation) and Kristensen (18m) and Faes (15m) that raises us 20m or so clear profit and a chance to keep KDH Then we buy three or four new players after the June 30 accounts deadline

Like they have any reason to! They had a rivalry back in the mid 70s which, assuming you were 10 years old in 1974 to remember that rivalry, you'd now have to be 60 to recall it. I'm not sure that anti Derby post will be of much consolation to Leeds tho!

Stringer Court unfair dismissal case vs BBC ends
Paninistickers replied to Kilworthfox's topic in General Chat
Very true. However, you then need to rely on real talent. There's a million people who want to talk football for a living. The cream rises to the top. His best bet is probs a podcast / YouTube spouting nonsense -

It does make you wonder how he will now make a living. It's not as if he's a trained broadcast journalist. He blagged it. -
Foxes Trust Reform - show your support!
Paninistickers replied to Foxes Trust Reform's topic in Leicester City Forum
Isn't that fan engagement? As opposed to fan liaison? Two very different things.... -
Not sure this is sarcasm. But there's the old 'two hopes' for Enzo getting this job. Bob and none. Brighton's research is impeccable. As evidenced by them getting wind of the KDH availability. Any research on Enzo will reveal a manager who lost a quarter of his games against absolute second rate garbage and whose own supporters were for large chunks of the season highly critical of despite a title win.

Just a transfer of ownership. Same happened in Manchester.

Fifa to explore impact of moving domestic matches abroad

I said on another thread, I'm not entirely against it. In fact,.I think it'd be rather fun. -
Kinda always loved this bible passage; 'So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do'

My workplace doesn't really give much of a shit about diversity* nor (when it comes down to it) is that bothered about people's mental health. They happily put the squeeze on employees But it does give a shit about pumping out message after message about diversity and mental health. It's become obsessive, fanatical, rabid, manic about it. *Footnote, why doe s.my work always think 'diversity' = sexual orientation? Can't diversity also be physical looks? Attitudes? Ages? Politics? Dress style?

Premier league clubs to vote on scrapping VAR
Paninistickers replied to David Hankey's topic in Leicester City Forum
She attends the PL meetings on our behalf. I have no doubt she conducts herself professionally there. In fact, the negotiations she led for Maguire and Fofana are testament to that. But, she's 'one of them'....she represents business - not football. -
Percy article enzo set to stay, vardy and vesty new deals
Paninistickers replied to Tuna's topic in Leicester City Forum
Agree. He was signed to replace an injured Fofana, FFS. What a totally preposterous idea. Like Barcelona signing Wilf to cover Messi in midfield,.coz,.like, he's a midfielder. The one game I can recall Vesty was asked to play a low block v Man City at home, he was excellent. That said, I do have fears Maresca will.expose him equally as.much -
