Great post. Indeed teams could sometimes beat the 'high press' by simply clipping the ball over the three or four opponents primed to chase. Takes out those pressers without any risk at all.

Absolutely mystifying wasn't it?
-
Cooper played how he had to play, tbf. I dont think it was his preference. Just pragmatism. Hmmm,. I agree. But i.alos think the crowd and players have had a part in that. The Norwich game tempo was out of pure desperation

Same, I've had two monster colds this winter (time off work, which is tea rare for me) and four minor colds..all of which have been with swollen sore tonsils that never seemed to happen before. Six FFS. Three of the six colds have come in the last 6 weeks. I didn't think it was possible to get reinfected so quickly And yet prior to that, hadn't had a cold for 18 months..Been a weird winter

Leicester 2-1 Birmingham POST MATCH.
Paninistickers replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
Absolutely because most teams have introduced 4 X new legs by then and we have three or four players absolutely blowing. His game management is abysmal As above post says, subs were again all 10 mins too late, just as v Norwich Fancy leaving quality players on the bench -
That's the hope. I tried to reassure myself of this after the Bristol / QPR / Middlesbrough debacles Logic suggested we couldn't continue that badly and they both couldn't continue that well Amazed they each only have five games left..a nice three game blip and they are hopefully royally fcked

Blimey, I haven't monitored poor @Tuna posts myself, but I suppose even a broken clock....

Said for a few weeks now, he should be benched and used as an impact sub. He's exciting, but we need a bit of reliability on that right hand side

Why do we have to have party politics? Why can't we have 400+ independent MPs who have to coalesce? Why such a big wank fest about large majority enabling string government, when all the ruling party does is rely on focus groups and, nowadays, AI to share policy? Tbh, the questions are rhetorical. Election 24... **** off.

Coventry’s Obsession With Us
Paninistickers replied to Lineker's Left Foot's topic in Leicester City Forum
Defo overtaken Derby by a mile.. Derby now feel like a Burton or Peterborough. But credit to Cov, forest take up 82% of my vitriol and Cov now up to 14%, Derby 3% and everyone else 1% -
Coventry’s Obsession With Us

They gotta make their mind up. We can't be a multi cultural, white minority, Britain's gone city AND have a low gene pool. -
Great post. But our dear leaders take the north Korea approach to transparency. Never gonna happen

You know, I know the jist of this story and it's one of a very slender group of subjects I can't even open to read. And I'm not the sort to blanche at much Extremely upsetting

Foxes Trust – LCFC Accounts Statement
Paninistickers replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Totally agree. I've only recently started putting my name on social media to criticism as, let's face it, this gaff is anonymous and as such, I think that dilutes the validity of comments. However, fwiw, I'll join the trust too. For a tenner it can't hurt. But, in the old days, things got done by crowds voicing displeasure en masse -
Exactly this. It's a great post. They are too frightened to go develop a niche. the Box Park thing as you say,.looks good but it's copy and paste. Same as the calls for an arena. That ship has sailed. Examples of niche; Why not rebrand the market as Britain's biggest farmer's market? LA style. Make the city a champion of local sustainable produce. Why not heavily push the smart apartments around curve as a commuter space to London, low rent / high quality / 70 min commute / 5 mins walk to station Redevelop the Corah space - maybe as a clothing industry hub - and in doing so, connect Abbey Park and the Space park back to the city centre Flood the Curve area with artists, living and working with subsidised rates and flood a redevloped Corah with clothes designers and shared manufacturing, studio and design equipment Allow super cheap rent and rates in the arcades for independent businesses. The city centre is dying. It's needs a radical rethink, not a paler version of a Leeds or Manchester

Annoying but maybe, at seven games out, it's still too early for the (almost) inevitable Leeds wobble. It'll come, it'll come. And hopefully late enough that the wobble is terminal
-
They make me sick Totally outplayed as per

That's absolutely par for Ipswich. #9minsinjurytime #deflection #doubledeflection

Was Ok today for the early leavers. A good 90% there at the end. The difference it makes if strictly come dancing isn't on

Yeah, but Leamington doesn't have the size or energy of a city. Listen, I think Leicester is dire compared to equivalent cities, but the point t I made earlier is that, if you know the place and show a visitor the best bits, it can actually come across quite well. The example I have earlier was we sat in the exchange, busy independent bar in a cool flatiron building with a view of curve, hundreds heading in there for an event...and the Art Deco Athena overlooking us too. It looked and felt good, even to me Edit; thinking of all those punters heading to curve, the difference it would.make to the city nighttime economy if the De Montfort Hall was in the city centre in addition to curve. Pity really.

Think it's harsh. Thought he put in a real shift.

Be interesting to see stats of km covered today.and sports and recovery runs..all seemed well up.. However, there was a 10 minute vacuum between 67 and 77 mins where we needed to keep that intensity by bringing on JJ (who I thought was excellent in his cameo,.away from that shit how of a lcb role he's asked.to perform) and Dennis and Hamza and Vards. Shout out to Daka today who had a thankless role leading that press.

Subs were all correct but each introduction was 5 mins too late imo.
