  1. They’re both a poor transfer window or two from collapsing like we did. And with those gates could go back where they belong.
  2. Agree with all this but I have to caveat it with, we were so so poor last season that he was one of our better players!
  3. Our current badge is the best badge in world football, end of.
  4. Now if he’s moving out I can see Dyche and the team he brings moving in.
  5. You have to get close to opponents to kick ‘em!
  6. Classic case of a disconnect between recruitment and the coaches at the sharpe end. I long for the days when managers use as to get in the car and watch these players, in O’Neill’s case a year watching Elliott! No wonder we sign crap!
  7. In hindsight we should’ve kept them and carried on spending.Points deduction wouldn’t be enough with a good side better motivated than under Rodgers mind.
  8. We’ll both be there or thereabouts next year, the gulf is massive.
  9. Agree with the fullback bit, most of his good work yesterday was getting his foot in and blocking. And if his shot had hit the side netting from that acute angle, his teammates may have given him a roasting.
  10. I definitely could see it, Nelson is class, looked like John Stones when he played last year. Swap deal for KDH? But how much is he on now?
  11. Yes agree with most of that, but let’s not say that the likes of Brentford, Bournemouth and Brighton are clubs more deserving to be locked in with the elite. 80% of the foootball league are as big or much bigger, not better run or backed though.PSR has ruined the game and nullified any more rich owners breaking in. It’ll be interesting to see how Wrexham and Brum do next year but their backing will not be enough to survive if they go up.
  12. Can’t see it being him as we have recently bought in “club “ coaches, and he comes with Woan and another ex Forest winger whose name escapes me.
  13. Why would he risk getting hurt before a move next season?
  14. Using your analogy, so pleased we’re not visiting the upper league dumps of Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton next year.
  15. You’ve been looking a bit peeky!

    Daka

And we’ve been so bad Ayew is one of our better performers this season!!
  17. Our right fullback in the greatest team we’ve ever had (Simmo) did nothing special either, he didn’t stand out just did his job defending and pushing Riyad up the pitch to do what he’s good at. Both good on the back post as a full back should be, Simmo more rugged and defensively sound, Thomas better on the ball but solid enough, certainly against the championship sides. He will be absolutely fine next year.
  18. He’s head and shoulders better than Soumare, however that is a very very low bar, requiring the ability to run round a bit.
  19. Shilton, Banks, Kasper the best, though the first two did come for crosses anywhere in the box. Spider Kalach ( apologies for spelling if wrong) the worst, the only keeper I’ve ever seen go towards the penalty spot to gather a corner floating in under his bar! Scared me to death.
  20. Football is so fickle, from us fans, players and board. If we draw at Forest and beat Ipswich I think he stays!
  21. Did you say that about Ranieri? Most of us did. I don’t fancy them either but sometimes a club suits the coach and the coach suits the club and staff. I remember Susan Whelan (of all people?) actually communicating to the fans on the radio asking us to trust them, anyone else remember communication?
  22. I totally agree, shocking signing, too much for not much, however in this season, (which in my time watching City since 1970 has been the worst.) he will run close to being player of the season, that’s how bad we’ve been!!
  23. The more I think about it, and the further away from Manager we go, appointing coaches who only seem to have half a say in transfers ( Ruud / Coulibaly??) , the more I think the money in wages should be going to a smart recruitment team? Let’s face it all these manager coaches know football and providing they get round pegs for round holes for a system, it should work whether its Appleton or Mourinho? Obviously I’ve not taken into account players egos and the show us your medals mentality, but once the goat leaves, who can say that.
  24. He would have taken most of Havertz’s chances for Arsenal this season and that was a lot! Would be a good acquisition for United next season in the free transfer mould of Henrik Larsson or for the old ‘uns among us Arthur Graham. Just don’t ever want to see him against us, ever!
  25. Not just the greatest Leicester striker ever, the greatest English striker in the last 30 too. Southgate didn’t realise you could play him with Kane!!!!!!
