  1. We need a new team, coaches as well as a manager. Kingy isnt the right person at the right time iMO.
  2. Steve Gerrard until the end of the season. Hopefully he gets a similar reaction from the younger players as Lampard has got from Coventry. Bring a few loans in from Liverpool as well.
  3. He never was going to be the answer IMO, however I feel for the bloke. No signings, only loans, no money and a shed load of wantaway players. I remember Ruud not giving younger players a chance as we went on a monumental losing run but in fairness to Marti, at least he has given half a season of so many younger players which may set us for the future. I think turning Skipp into a first teamer ahead of Soumare and Winks is the other think I`ll thank him for. Hopefully he gets the backing of the board on transfers where he ends up LOL
  4. Who is decision making for the womens team? They seem to get things done quicker than the mens!!
  5. A mixture of emotions watching the likes of Harvey Barnes yesterday with his winner and Vards assist and goal tonight. We get a constant reminder on how we fudged things up so royally from boardroom level. Obviously happy for them, but its not nice to get the reminder of where we are as a squad and club.
  6. For his age, he isnt a disaster. But for me his selfishness, lack of awareness around him, decision making and really his constant moaning makes me want to punt him out. It shows the desperation in me I`d want someone in first LOL but he has flattered to decisive all his career. I`d rather not have someone who whines so much as a coach to the club and would prefer to go a little old school and bring back more faces from our successful past. I cant believe he is the son of Abedi Pele BTW, his dad taught him nothing!
  7. Imagine the situation he inherited. Players relegated and down moods and I presume salaries reduced, loads others want out, loads contracts were up at the end of the season too.Its a horrible situation to inherit, especially when so many major players decided to leave too (Vards, Ndidi, Hermansen, JJ, BEK along with others I didnt give two tosses about like Coady, McAteer, Coulibaly, Ward etc). I have said I wouldn't care if we changed managers, however I like the fact that so many young players have been drafted into the squad and trusted and that he has binned so many first teamers like Faes, Winks, Soumare after initially trusting them. Thats not so easy to do with your job on the line. He persists with the youngsters despite none really tearing it up for us so to speak. I like that. A new manager IMO wont be playing the kids as Marti has, so I`d like us to get rid of some moredead wood and get him to bring in a player or two he wants and not free transfer GKs.
  8. The best chance of some of our dead wood going I suppose is by giving them game time. The hope is a couple of the donkeys will leaven despite getting no game time for months (Faes, Soumare, Winks). I reckon the best chance is Faes with the world cup around the corner but if no one matches their wages I can see them staying put.
  9. Its sad for the player but after the trauma the lad had with the accident I am happy that he is healthy to an extent. No offence to him but I am glad we wont be signing him up, there must surely be better options for us!
  10. It worked a treat last time with a win, i think some of you have found the formula. Stay away LOL!
  11. Hamza would be one of those Youtube sensations with some amazing clips of his ability (Goal v Huddersfield, that run back and tackle v Liverpool and things like the clearances below), however he always seems like being like one of those players who goes through the motions and doesn't put it all in.He could have been so much better if he put the effort in. Maybe he was on these players that is a family man who is married with 3 kids and just goes through the motions?! Against WBA he put some decent blocks in playing our of position but in parts, he really looked like he couldnt muster any energy like some weedhead. I`d personally move him on and get some cash in.
  12. Forget the manager for a minute, you would think that any player with pride would be trying there best to get a win, get a move even or to a lesser extent, get or stay in an International set-up. Unfortunately, we seem to have no heart, a bunch of moaners and I cant remember a Leicester team that doesnt try as much as this shower. Lets cull this dead wood and get some fresh blood in, including the manager as its just not happening.
  13. As much as I feel for him, no money to spend, points deduction around the corner and I am sure more to come on our financial restraints, then you add the relegated big hitters who dont want to be here (Winks, Faes, Soumare etc), he hasnt got much to play with. However, the players are not playing for him or the shirt. Todays performance against a bang average side who lost a couple of decent players to AFCON is a reminder that this guy is simply not good enough. Get rid and lets go again
  14. It seems that every mistake costs us a goal, but i`d say his shot stopping skills far outweigh the errors. Today's error was so brain-dead its scary! He had two open players to his right but decided to pass it straight ahead to Skipp who had three players around him LOL!! However, for a player who has played about a dozen games for Hartlepool and Dunfermline, I think Jakub is progressing very well considering his lack of experience. So many fantastic saves in a team that has largely been under siege most games. Yes he makes mistakes but he will learn. We forget that even a class act like Kasper was woeful on crosses but had a spell where his kicking was shocking. You could say similar things about many a top GK these days, they all have plenty of mistakes in him. In Jakub we must trust!!!
  15. Excellent from the lads. Some top goals, top performances and we continue to look like we are growing with each game. Its particularly pleasing to beat a fellow relegation side, especially one that only sold 1 or 2 decent players and spent over 45m on new transfers in the summer compared to us, who lost 5 players who would have probably started the season at least. 10/10 all!!!
  16. This guy has always been a real powerhouse. I have always likes his positivity as well, but his dress sense is a shocker LOL. If he hadnt have been injured id have taken him with no issues. If the club is sensible, maybe play him on a trail basis in some friendlies/u21`s, assess and see if he can give us 90 mins in what is a physically challenging league.then I wouldnt be adverse to a deal until the end of the season on a pay as you play basis. Either way, he cant be the only forward we sign. Carranza should go back, Antonio and one "better" option will do.
  17. Give him one more transfer window when he can offload some more dross and bring in some new talent. The problem is if we get a new guy in, he may not have the same belief in the kids and wheel out the names who always let us down (Faes, Soumare, WInks etc). We are asking a bloke who inherited a relegated club, didnt even join us until MId July as the powers at be pissed about with sacking RVN, two weeks AFTER the players started to return for pre-season training. We then lose all our best players like Vards. El Khanouss and Mads! Seriously, lets give him one window. As important as those players we bring in, its who we get shot of. We really need those players who tried to get out but couldnt (Faes, Winks, Kristensen) gone and take Daka and Soumare with him. Cancel the loan of Carranza as well FFS!!
  18. How do we know he doesnt prepare them pre-match? To me, this squad isnt good enough. Thomas had two loan spells and most of us thought he was cooked at our club. He showed great quality with Derby, was dogshite tonight. That cant be Marti`s fault. He has been found out. He is to me a low level Championship player. If he wasnt a local lad, we would be hammering him every week. Its not just LT fault, so many are not good enough. If we were playing Football Manager the likes of Daka, Winks, Fatawu would be worth millions. Kristensen, Soumare again would be sort after. Unforunately, with the esception of Fatawu, another young guy who is still not at his best since a serious injury, the rest are useles.. Lets give Marti a window to offload some of the aforementioned and hopefully get some JJ level talents in!
  19. I dont know if you saw that Darts thing on Skysports before the Deby game with JJ, Nelson and Luke T? When I was watching it I looked at them three young lads, largely shy and not much personality. You can see that on the pitch with our team. No real leaders, no real personality. I remember the numerous times Sky ended up at our training down talking to our mob in the prem and you had characters like Vards and Albrighton looking confident and cheeky. Same when the likes of Huth or Fuchs was on TV. The current team are too disingaged to win games like tonight. Hazma who should be a leader isnt. Vestegard with all that experience, poor. Overall we get what we deserve. Our group is full of wantaway donkeys who do not play for the shirt (Winks, Soumare, Kritensen etc), moaners (just watch Ayew and Mavididis body language) and some talented kids who we are talking up like they are the next Peles. Lets get a reality check, our squad isnt good enough, our best player is a loanee and our other old boy purchases in the summer were desperation deals. Lets see what Martis like with a decent transfer window behind him.
  20. Im probably in the minority here but what can the manager do? Daft to concede so early in the 2nd half after bossing the 1st, but like at Derby, it seems our excursions in the first 45 mins left us looking knackered in the 2nd half. If you look at the chances Derby created they could have easily got back in it as we looked off our feet and it was the same tonight. We have the training facilities, are we not working them hard for fear of injuries as we have had in recent seasons? Fudge knows but what is for sure, Marti needs a transfer window where he can bring in more than just free transfer players aged 30 or over. We cant knock the manager after all of the sales and such a toxic situation at our club. The players need to take responsibility for their 2nd half performance not just making the manager the scapegoat.
  21. I may be an old git at 53, however when you grow up knowing you have not won much (apart from League cup in the 60s and 2nd Div titles), I was over the moon by winning under MON with a so called ugly style "anti-football" team. Roll on 15 years and we develop a squad capable of winning the prem against all odds, had squads full of amazing talent from Vardy to Tielemans, Maddison to Mahrez. We win the league for the first time in our history, the FA Cup and the mighty Community Shield lol. Was in the Quarters in the Champions league as well? I remember us running deeper than any other English club that year before coming just short against Athletico Madrid. No one can take away our history. There will be a number of clubs who wish they were as successful as us over the last 10 years, plenty of them much bigger than us. I truly believe if Vichai hadnt left us during that tragic day, we would still be a competitive Prem club. As much as I loathe typing it, Top and those around him have made so many poor calls that Vichai would be turning in his grave. They have let him and the club down but it cant take away what we have achieved. I want to besinging about Vichais dream in years to come like other clubs do about there legendary players. BTW, I have not dismissed getting backup there again but with all the money thats about and teh restraints clubs of our size have, its going to be a challenge
  22. Thats because they couldnt have known he is a lousy trainer (as I have read about him over the years) Whilst the likes of Roy Keane call out his team mates and then players when he was a manager for not roaring in during training, Vards has largely paced himself as he doesnt need to replicate what he does on Match day during training. Him being a late starter coupled with his training methods is while IMO he not only is still playing at 39, but hasnt lost that much of his pace. Seeing him run around yesterday timing his runs looked vintage Vards. OK he wasnt steaming in to close down challenges and more conservative on chasing down but he was still very effective.
  23. As a youngster I would tune it to Serie A coverage on Channel 4 just to watch Gazza, I am finding myself doing the same think to watch Vardy. You do wonder if the likes of Arsenal did get a deal over the line for him after we won the prem how many goals this bloke would have got. Im amazed he stayed with us for so long but it doesnt surprise me to see what he is doing in Serie A. That game was a million miles an hour, chaos at times with some of Bolognas players having 7 shots on goal. Vards managed two goals, he could have got another as nearly nicked one in forcing a GK save and went to round the GK early doors but didnt quite manage it on his left side. What I like about the Cremonese set up is they dont seem to sub him, even with him approaching 39 years young and playing 100 mins tonight. A frickin love this guy so much, I may get out there to watch him live one final time!
  24. Whatever happened to Deadly Daka?!!
  25. This has easily got to be the worst set of strikers we have had since i have supported the club. Growing up and paying to watch anyone from David Kelly to David Oldfield, Ian Ormandroyd to Ian Marshall, Ade Akinbiyi to David Speedie, I always felt that even that bunch could score a goal. I have never watched my team and looked at a team that has the likes of Carranza and Daka as options and thinking there is less than a 10% chance they will get a goal. I am more optimistic that a James, Ramsey, Monga or Fatawu might do something but these strikers are shockers. Lets hope we are a few points away from the play-offs (or in them) come the Transfer window as we may be able to go again and shake things up, starting with the cancellation of Carranzas loan and Daka be punted out to Wrexham for a few million.
