Enzo Out? Time for an official thread/poll
Analysethis replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
This is crazy! He inherited a team with Financial issues, got a lot more cash in than he spent, had to pick a side up from its backside after challenging from Champions league football to relegation, losing stars like Barnes and Madders on the way. He gets us in a position to go back up at the first attempt and three quarters of the fan base according to this poll want him out LOL! It just shows how delusional many of our fans are, our how many feel so entitled. It also makes me chuckle that Vards, Daka, Fatawu, Mavidi, KDH, all guilty of some shocking decisions in the final third whether its by passing on chances missed are forgiven and Enzo is the scapegoat LOL! Im not saying Enzo is perfect (I would play Cannon instead of Daka and Coady for Faes) but had he played Cannon more or even Coady, who is to say we wouldnt have been 5th in the league not 2nd with a game in hand? BTW, I wonder if Leeds want Farke out? -
Its arrogant that our fans can be so quiet (especially at home) and expect to piss this league. All this talk about record points etc was laughable. Its also arrogant that we think we are entitled, especially after 90% of our better players like Barnes, Madders, Caglar, Castagne, Tielemans etc been gutted from our side. As a club, recent successes have got to certain peoples heads and we feel entitled, almost deluded IMO.

I cant for the life of me work out how we have players in our squad we should have sold even if its for returns and why we have let so many International standard players contracts whittle down where we get nothing. I genuinely cant think of club in the prem that has let so many first team players from Caglar to Evans, Tielemans to Mendy, Perez to now Ndidi and Ihanhacho. Whoever has made the call to have the likes of Ward and Vestegaard (among plenty of others)sit out and earn. Vestegaard has been great this season but he is another out of contract isnt he? Heads should roll there. I also cant work out why we work out for the likes of Coady and Cannon and dont rotate them. Who is making these buying and contract decisions? As for the rest, we are still a relatively small club despite recent achievements and still do well. We have achieved a lot this season despite our recent form, thats on the back of the African Nations and having players on large wages or contracts running down who dont care. The backdrop of our our financial problems must also have a bearing but why we get hysterical with results over a long season, I dont know. Just look at Arsenal yesterday, Liverpools last two home results, even Leeds and Ipswich!!!

Leeds United (A) 3-1 - Post-Match Thread

He hasn't thrown away our "big lead" his players have help reduce our lead after some glaring misses over two games. Would you rather we started poorly and found form and bit like Southampton. how are now 11 points behind us or maybe you want to be like Leeds who are 6 points behind us? Maybe we should blame Maresca for starting so well and he should have lost more games early, the cheeky numpty won too many games? Anyone would think we were 10 points behind the leaders. BTW is it Marescas fault for his team missing so many chances? -

Its a real strange response mate. Firstly, we should be treating Maresca as a messiah. The bloke inherits a squad, sells his best players, many of his next set of best players who remain are out of contract in the next year and overall the whole place is down after a surprise relegation. He adopts a style of football that means we a top of the league. No transitional period, no bedding players in, but into a team of confident winners. Lets lay off Maresca who is working wonders for starters! Regarding missing chances, well welcome to the Championship. Daka does some good things but isnt top drawer. He played great today but when he gets a chance, I am not over confident and havent been since he joined. I like him, but he isnt top class.Remember how many games he played early season?! The rest of the lads like Mavidi, a 5m player has excelled.Today unfortunately he missed chances including a sitter but he is one that is again over achieving.. We have some very good players, some that are prem class but we have many still here as they are not deemed good enough to be bought by prem clubs. Thats where we are at the moment and the sooner some of you realize we have a lot of Championship standard players the more realistic we will be regarding expectations. We are not entitled to win and go up and IMO, this season has been beyond expectation. When Madders, Caglar, Barnes, Castagne, Evans, Mendy and Soumare left did you think we would piss the league? We are doing fine, are dominating the ball, creating loads of chances and when we get promoted, hopefully we can find the players to take us to the next level. The foundations are set, thank you Maresca!! -

LOL at some of the hysteria. I may be in the minority but I am happy with what I saw. Away from home against a noisy bunch in a so called fortress, this was men against boys for 70 mins, 1-0 up and idiot goal ruled out (VAR anyone?), the simplest of one on ones missed and we should have been 3, 4 or even 5-0 up. We should have put them away. They were woeful for 70 mins and we sold quality and agrresion. However, these prats got lucky. Two lucky deflections and this result is the biggest joke you will see. Yes there will be hysteria at the result but we need to remain calm. Two losses but loads of chances created and we should have won both games easily. Keep calm, we will be OK -

I feel bad for Cannon, bit parts but today I think his energy as a sub instead of Nacho would have given us that much needed energy. I get we rest JJ from too many games but if the bloke travels, does all the warm ups which is strenuous enough he must be able to do 20 mins from the bench. Coady isnt quite there for me and I would have had a reshuffle and got JJ on the pitch for Coady. Ndidi and KDH for Casedi and Akgun was weird. I would have preferred more solidity in midfield like Hamza. Either way, Maresca has been great and his team selections and subs on the whole have been decent, just look at the league table. Disappointed yes, but VAR or a decent ref and we go 2-0 up and cruise home. -
I have stayed away from the forums for a while now due to some real knee-jerk reaction posts from many of our fan base regarding Rodgers. Whilst I am not saying he hasnt made mistakes, he has had to deal with some key players like Wes, Kapser, Vardy, Albrighton getting on and in most cases being moved on and playing lesser roles. They cant stay at that level forever. He has also been let down by the owners. He was vocal on wanting to make points that the dead wood will be sold on and players will come in who will improve us but with no money to spend, we ended up shooting ourselves in the foot. That is the clubs fault not his. Also we made a mistake by not cashing in on one or two who wanted out early. I know our first FA Cup Final and two 5th place finishes is amazing, but we are still Leicester City and not Man Utd. We should still sell one or two a season and trust the recruitment guys to find replacements. Already Wout Faes in and Fofana out looks like sensational business just like Maguire out and Caglar in was great at the time. We also need to put some of frustration towards those dealing with contracts. Allowing Tielemans and Caglar to get so late in their contracts and unsettling the squad is crazy. To also have other major players with just 18 months on their deals is criminal. What are they doing back there?! Anyway, I hope people realise we have a first class manager, things are not going great for a million reasons but its not all down to him. I cant remember the last time as a squad so many key players like Vardy, Ndidi, Caglar, JJ, Barnes were in below par form overall. It seems only Madders looks like playing at his usual level and some doing well but not excelling or improving. Reading back the hysteria when tonights game typifies why I have stayed away from here. Some wanted Ward out but he is starting to look more secure now he gets a run in the side. I feel safer with him when crosses and corners come in compared to Kasper. Some wanted Amartey out despite the likes of wantaway Caglar and Evans was injured! The negativity towards Soumare in for the injured Ndidi (Soumare won the ball more times than Ndidi has done in a year tonight and came off on the hour), Praet playing (was involved in both goals and was the obvious replacement for Maddison). Also starting Vardy against a side he may want to do well against due to where he is from (Sheffield) and probably playing Daka next time out also made sense. Lets cut Rodgers some slack and get behind him and the boys.

I live in Hertfordshire and play in a Snooker league and the other month I got my team mates having laughing fits at my expense. Its only two frames so you will end up drawing 1-1 or winning/losing 2-0. I won the first game and said Im off for a P, my opponent went to refill at the bar. I came back first, picked up the cue and broke off. Half way into the frame I couldnt understand how my game had gone off the boil until my opponent looked down at his cue to say I was playing with his and we did a swapsies back. I then get lectured for "not knowing my cue" and one of the lads playing his own game on the table next to me had to pause after getting the giggles, upsetting a couple of our boring opponents! Also in the same league, I was playing another lad a while back who grabbed the rest, played his shot and went to put the rest back. Somehow, he wasny concentrating and managed to only put half the rest back and managed to trip up over the rest and do his best impression of hurdler Colin Jackson before falling ass over tit. You had to be there to appreciate the whole scene LOL

He hasnt quit and he hasnt been sacked. I may be in the minority here as we are at page 10 since this thread started but to me its a daft question. The managers who may be available today may not be available when he leaves. If you want ne to play the game, I`ll say Guardiola Let silly season continue....

Money doesn't always guarantee top performers. Newcastle still have to spend correctly to get towards the top 6 or even 4 but Im sure it will be fun trying. We can see with Man Utd you can have all the players but they also need to gel together which isnt a guarantee. Arsenal are one of those clubs that have spent 50m on White, 45m on Partey. 72m on Pepe and 25m on Saliba and none of them look great. They have almost regressed despite a huge outlay so lets see what happens at Newcastle, although Im sure they will be throwing some huge sums out there. For Brendan, he would be a mad man to leave project Leicester! He has already won a major trophy and when all players are fit and available, he has a top 6 squad easy with huge potential. Im not sure how many squads in the prem carry such an all round deep squad and potential as well due to the likes of Justin, Fofana, Barnes, Daka, Soumare, KDH, Maddison, Ndidi and Thomas are all 24 years of age or under. Its just a shame from our point of view that so many of our squad have been subject to injury as we aren't seeing the real Leicester yet.

I have a son with a Black South American girl, my girlfriend of 12 years is Indian. Somehow though, I thought that Enoch Powell was a brilliant politician! Ive been screamed at for my views! If you take away some of his thoughts, this bloke was brilliant. When I see these daft MPs on TV these days who cant string a sentence together, it makes you wonder WTF happened. Another unpopular view with the missus is that I want to buy her a bungee rope, tie it around her waste so its long enough to get about the house into the kitchen and spring back into the bedroom. That thought didn't go down too well either.

He retired 2 years ago and is now a coach, but if Ronaldo can carry on playing, this youtube sensation can surely make a comeback at 35? If not him, I`ve heard Fofana has persuaded this dude to sign on a free in Jan. You heard it here first

Please Brendan, play him instead of Ayoze FFS!!! Cutting in from the right and smashing one in with his left peg would surely be a better option?!!!
-
99% of the time I have agreed with what Brendan has done with the squad, but two things will always be that Twilight Zone WTF is going on moment. Firstly, his persistence with Ayoze. Even playing Ayoze up front when Vards was off injured for a few games. Bringing Kelechi in after was the right move as history proved. The second one is his use of Praet. To me this guy has talent and is a very decent back-up to Madders. He should have got more game time when Madders was injured IMO. Its a shame Brendan doesn't rate him. Good luck to the guy in Turin!!!

Amazing little player, so under-rated. He was playing with some shocking players at Fulham last season but every time I saw him he looked high quality and way too good for them. For someone relatively short, he is strong, extremely fast and I hope the plan is to get him trained as a right sided player in a front three as that will improve the team. I`ll put money on this guy coming through to a level that will make us look back and think this is another amazing deal by the decision makers.

Sell Ayoze, Hamza and Benko. Bring in a RW like Neres and James on loan from Man U with an option to buy

Norwich 1-2 Leicester - Post Match Thread

We were in such cruise control against one of the worst teams we have played for ages that I knew it would go wrong if we didn't get that 2nd goal. We messed up with misses and tragic decisions (Vardy not giving it to Barnes as he made a 40 yard run for one!), two easy Maddison chances and then a shocker of a pen. However, somehow we dig out an away day win!! Amartey MOM, a confidence boost to a team that seem to be devoid of confidence with so many out of form players (Tielemans, Madders, Caglar to name 3), another Vards goal as well. BTW the ref had a shocker!!! -
What I love about Amartey is after one game where he was scared on the the ball, he has learned and looked confident on the ball today. Also ran out of defence a few times. Considering our injury crisis at the moment, especially in defence you would have to say its great to have him at the moment. MOM by a mile today

I cant see the bloke has an ego. From that 2019 Ajax team where they went deep into the Champions League, "that" side that hammered Real Madrid 4-1 away among other great results, Ziyech went to Chelsea, Donny van de Beek at Man Utd, Dest and De Jong to Barca, de Ligt to Juve, Dolberg to Nice. Whilst many jumped ship, Neres signed a new contract and allegedly turned down Man Utd. To me, he seems decent lad, a very good player and probably now is of an age where he needs to test himself. I dont know if he will be the answer to our right wing problems, but I`ll guarantee he will be better than a largely greedy Under or Perez who I cant label even if I had 24 hours to describe him!!

You have to feel for our mob, so many injuries, all in defence FFS! Also 9 days between games and we looked leggy. Tielemans gave the ball away so often, Ndidi bullied, Madders nowhere near. Thats all down to match fitness for sure. Perez an absolute liability who I bet doesnt get a game if we had our CBs fit. I can see us going 523 and Perez nowhere the team at times. At the end of the day, its just one game but we need a reaction for sure. -
Im not a Perez fan at all as I think he is a Leicester squad player of 10 years ago and not now, he just isnt good enough. Today though, Ndidi, Maddison and Tielemans have had their worst games I can remember in a Leicester shirt. Perez was better than them three put together with a few neat touches. Lets hope the defenders come back quickly and the aforementioned trio get match fit quickly.
