Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Analysethis replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
I put the below in the match thread, probably more suited to this thread. I am so cheesed off with this muppet I`ll copy here as well ----------------------------- I cant recall every being a supporter of my club and looked at a manager as being as clueless and stubborn as RVN. It may sound obvious with the amount of losses we have suffered, but his team selections have largely been questionable, his tactics being obvious and the fact that he refuses to blood any of our youngsters whilst United start with one youth and have a further 6 on the bench. If this idiot is not blooding them in now he never will. Get him out and lts get a forward thinking manager in for next season -

The clubs "current plight" has zero bearing if we keep these wonderkids or not. You could argue that if we were the club of a few seasons ago, challenging for the Champions League possies then Monga would have already left.Trey Nyoni went to Liverpool a couple of years ago, Bassey went to Rangers and he was 20 I believe 4 or 5 years ago. If youth players want to go to these large clubs for their academy then there is little we can do to stop them. The hope is the local lads have an affinity for the club and there families suggest they stay and develop with us.To me its daft that any youngster is allowed to leave his mates and home to start a new life at such a young age away from his family. He is developing well with our set-up, hopefully we keep him and see how he ends up in a couple of years.

There have been some real turkeys of signings, however El Khannouss will probably go for 40m if we go down. Fatawu has hardly played and was a done deal before he arrived, Golding was one for the future. Cordova-Reid was a free whilst Skipp was a weird signing for the money and probably only was signed thinking Ndidi would be away on his toes. Ayew hasnt been that bad for the money spent whilst half the people in here wanted Okoli back in but he was woeful last night. Is it Coopers fault or Rudkins? I cant work it out. Cooper was doing OK despite all these injuries, Ruud is just terrible for so many reasons, including his stubbornness in team selections and tactics.
-
I think we have to think youth and long term. If we are honest, this season is now almost impossible to overturn with key injuries, little backing in the stands as we are in "change mode" and not getting the boost of a Winter transfer window. I`d go for Liam Rosenior who is doing well at Strasbourg. A left field choice would be Bayern Munich coach Aaron Danks who is very highly regarded as a coach. He has worked in Belgium which is a market I am so surprised we are not tapping into more often with the links to the club has, and would be one unlikely to be poached.
-
I think he is better as a wing back that has 3 CBs behind him in defensive positions, largely as he is below average as a defender. He is better in attacking positions but not much better! He is only 22 so maybe can develop but I would punt him out of our club as he isnt even Championship standard

Unfortunately the hatred for Cooper duped many of our delusional fans in thinking we were signing RVN the striker and not the questionable manager. Cooper was judged on more his background as a Forest man and even some I read in here didnt like his looks LOL. You couldnt script it. Considering he had no money and could only add players probably worse than what we had, ended up keeping forgotten men like Soumare and Kristensen who most of us thought had zero chance of getting back into the team (I wish they were punted out personally) its obvious to say we dropped a knad making this managerial change when we did. RVN has arguably been the worst manager we have had, We do not look organised, the gap between defence and midfield is scary, we have some decent players but he keeps picking largely the same team and tactics even after heavy defeats. He seems quite stubborn and not a risk taker which when you are down, you probably need to be. Worrying he doesnt look passionate or a motivator, probably because he knows he is out of his depth. Time to go as it cant get any worse.
-
He wasnt written off, he was signed! If he cant learn off of RVN and Vardy, then he aint gonna learn from anyone. His confidence is obviously shot and has been for a while. I am not sure how he gets that back when he cant get a run of games. I actually cant even see a scenario where he gets many minutes. It shows something about him when he doesnt care about his career and would happily stay at ours collecting his wages instead of moving on. Apparently he had a couple of offers in addition to the US one.

Facundo Buonanotte joins on loan - Official
Analysethis replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Im not sure what the issue is with him. He looks at times a bit Iheanacho heavy but that could be puppy fat lol. I like him playing from the right but maybe he doesnt run back enough? Im not sure why Ruud has omitted him but something aint right. -
I`d be lying if I said I know too much about Monga but if the noise is anything like his ability I`d suggest we unleash him off the bench, especially with Fatawu injured and the likes of Mavididi and Buonanotte seemingly out of favour.

When we were throwing millions of pounds around buying all these players, I cant remember seeing too many people complaining! When we were challenging for Cups and Leagues, Champions League and Europe and still asking for tens of millions to be spent again (whilst the club was spending a fortune on the training ground), no one was complaining. To me its astonishing how some of our fans are turning on the owner after all his family has done for us. We have gone from a yo-yo club to a First time Prem winner, a first time FA Cup winner, Europa, Conference and Champions league participants who spent almost £40m on one player in Tielemans. Who seriously thought a club like ours could do such a thing? In fact, apart from the odd club like Forest flying high the odd season, which other club our size has had the same consistent ten years since the formation of the Premier league? None! Only the big clubs and even them have done sweet FA compared to us. We have also attracted high quality much sought managers such as Brendan Rodgers and spent most of our time at the top end of the best domestic league in the world against clubs who are bigger than us, have more income than us and more of a pull than us. We have over achieved so much that it seems some in here feel entitled that we should be doing it every season. We simply are not big enough for that. The same people who called for Brendan Rodgers to be sacked then Cooper, now Rudkin, now Top just continue to be delusional in their expectations. How many would prefer the good old days with Rodgers and that squad, keeping him here in the hope he turned us around? Cooper was hated and not backed from the start. Many actually wanted him to fail and called for a fresh new forward thinking manager. Apparently we got one although I cant see the credentials personally. IMO the mistake we made is to think we should flex and be like the top 4. We should have carried on selling our best players for mega money every season like we did when we sold the likes of Maguire, Kante, Mahrez, Chilwell etc. In 2020/21 we hardly raised any money and didnt sell a high profile player for mega bucks for the first time in but spent over 50m on Daka, Soumare and Vestegard. I remember many were moaning that we should have thrown more money like we have and endless pit. I think that season will be seen as defining regarding transfers and contracts. Also its important that we point out that we have made so many catastrophic transfer decisions for years. Its not like we dropped the ball last year, we have done it for years. Among the well publicized gems like Vardy, Mahrez, Hermansen and hopefully El Khannouss, we have the likes of Slimani, Ghezzal, Silva, Daka, Souttar, Ward., Perez. I think the profits on the likes of Fofana, Maguire, Maddison etc have masked the clangers we have made for years. Of course like all clubs, ours have made mistakes and some real clangers, especially allowing so many high profile players contracts run down and having so much dead wood in the squad not being moved on but I wouldn't swap the last 10 years with any "small to medium" club to be honest. Look at Newcastle, Spurs, Arsenal etc, all so called big clubs who have done fudge all for years and in some respect, decades. I say we get realistic, I understand the frustration for some of the hierarchy to change but for me we back of the owner as its not simply them being the scapegoat. This season isnt done yet and there are some real shower teams in the league, including 3 other clubs than us. Lets hope a miracle happens with a 4th bottom finish but attacking the owners in protests wont do us any favours.

Realistic right backs we could sign in January

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

Many in here were clamoring for a sexy appointment, a young up and coming coach and in RVN thats what we have. Would Cooper have got more points, probably. Is Ruud the right man, only time will tell if he has the skills as an inexperienced manager to do anything with our lot. I think he is decent and learning on the job, but we need some luck and a few decent signings! Only criticism tonight is why Alves didnt get a run when we went 3-1 down. -
His distribution was excellent, his ability to get to crosses missed by our defenders as really decent and he didnt make any notable mistakes. For a 24 year old he seems quite vocal which I like to hear from GKs. Give Ward to Showbiz Wrexham and lets keep this lad as our cup and back up option.

When we bought him I thought it was a bit of a desperation signing and also a paper misquote by about 15m. I have seen nothing so far to change my mind on what I have always thought was an average player, Championship at best. I know he is one of these faces that has played plenty for Spurs and the u-21s but he is one of many players that for some reason people talk of in the positive but I cant remember him being brilliant in any game. This deal will cost us around 30 min in total, crazy really when we have quite a few in the squad that are better than him. At 24 he can still improve, at this stage I cant see it.

Reminds me of Cags. On his day, looks organised, strong and carries the ball out of defense and into midfield, on a bad day looks over the shop and a liability. I must admit Coady and Vesty in the same team makes me nervous at prem level due to pace but it is a worry we have so many centre halves who are of a similar standard. You could swap the 4 and I wouldn't know what to expect from any pairing. I think we can get decent money for him as long as he keeps the affro. He cuts his hair we only get 2m.

Liverpool 3-1 LCFC, post match thread
Analysethis replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
What a shame we couldn't get to half time 1-0 up as we could have got something out of this game if we were to frustrate them as the mins ticked over. In fairness, I believe we were 22/1 to win tonight and the draw was 10/1. I cant recall the last time our team had such long odds. We had little chance on paper but played beyond our odds and league position so to be honest I was quite proud of the way we battled and defended at times. There were quite a few positives. as well as the battling defending, we were quite organised, we did put a few quick one touch slick moves together and had Mavididi been more accurate with a simple pass to Daka, had Daka not had an air shot when the ball was crossed to him in a second big chance it could have been a tad differemt You could argue with Mads, Vards, Ndidi, Fatawu and Riccardo we have 5 starters out, there could be a further argument that Buonanotte, Faes and Okoli are also first teamers. Liverpool were at full strength so you have to take all that as positives. -
Just got in from a spot of Xmas shopping to see this! 3 shots on goal for us, 3 from them and all went in while we got zilch. GK is not a position that you can carry if the player is out of confidence so its a real problem for us. 4-0 in the 2nd half like they did to us in 2003 please!!!
-
15 mins 3 goals!! At this rate it`ll be 10-0!
-
Wow that team is horrid. I hope I am wrong but I can see Kudus and Bowen running rings around us. This is going to be Messi like Lionel! I`ll be tuning in for another Leicester miracle!

Dont get me wrong, I am not a fan Of Cooper and his signings, along with his really strange team selections (Soumare a good cameo sub performance, starts next game, use of Riccardo, dropping Winks, Okoli who I thought was playing well dropped for a player nowhere near team this season in Vestegaard, signing of Skipp and playing him in a horrible lack of creation midfield trio, dropping both Mavididi and Fatawu, the list is endless), however I would have taken our points haul and league position at this stage of the season! We need to forget the side that finished 5th twice or won the FA Cup, this group is nowhere near as good as the squad that got us relegated IMO. With what we have, we are not doing bad. However, lets make moves and punt him out during the International break and get Potter in. Im not sure whats going on but Moyes and Potter have been linked today. I know they are not reliable sources but hopefully someone knows something and the end of Cooper is nigh https://thehardtackle.com/news/2024/11/11/graham-potter-open-to-replacing-steve-cooper-at-leicester-city/

I know he looks like the love child of Tevez and Ribery, but Cooper is just 44. Within that time, he has managed Liverpool Youths, England U16/17s, Swansea and even Prem Forest. How many managers out there have a better pedigree at that type of age who want to come here at the moments? I cant think of many bright up and coming ones who would. You could argue we are in a better position now with our points haul and no points deduction but it was slim pickings before, I dont know why now we would have a big pool of quality to choose through/
-
I have said it for a while, he at best is 70% of the player he was since pre-injury. Its such a shame, but today he and to a lesser extent Riccardo were ripped new A holes whilst our wide players were below the standard and didnt offer much for us. Back to JJ, Elanga beat him about 15 times I think. This could be one of the worst performances I can remember seeing from him. Defending, crap and not much attacking!
