I just can’t stand seeing a team with Faes and Vestegaard. There is nothing we get from them at all. For 3 seasons we have seen them fail. I would much prefer to use some of our talented academy players. I would hate to see us lose Nelson for the sake of keeping Vesty and Faes. personally in defence I would play Hamza, Nelson, Okoli, Aluko with Ricardo in midfield with Winks hamza technically not great but can’t fault his work rate. I think this is the start of a team we can really get behind. Then attacking midfield 3 of with Fatawu, James, mavididi (Monga) youthful side that I think should be able to press throughout the game until subs are made. Play high intensity front foot forward. We make mistakes in defense anyway. Much prefer to see our academy players having a go. I don’t think results will be that different with this team compared to current line ups.

To an extent I would agree. However, I see him as more of a blocker than best player. As he is perceived to be our best defender, he plays whenever fit. This cost Okoli playing and Nelson getting game time this season. Okoli should have played every game last season and learnt about the game here. He should have had 20 PL games and started the championship with a more settled defensive unit. Faes might be our best defender but has been a huge reason we have been relegated on 2 occasions. We need a change and moving him on is the best for the club. Will be on a high wage (not his fault). And by reports attitude is poor. you are correct that selling him will not be a miracle cure. Just hopefully provides more of a chance for Okoli and Nelson to form a partnership and us to move on with players who want to be here.

Possibly you are correct on this issue about Rudkins role. But he is a huge reason why we are in this mess in the first place. Hindering contracts and terrible transfer dealings for a prolonged period of time. No accountability at the top no surprise the same on the pitch with players. his role now should be to put a promotion contending team on the pitch whilst selling players to stay within financial means. Surely clubs in Saudi would take Faes, Vestegaard, Winks, Soumare. Offload these first and drastically reduce the wage bill. He has to lead the staff and get rid of players who do not want to be here or are a drain on the club. keep Hamza and even Kasey. At least they try and play for the shirt. And we know they both can compete at this level. Our final 3 months of the Championship with Maresca was a struggle, and we had a power team by championship stands then. We have had dire results and performances for 16 months and are in a far worse position on and off the pitch. Marti has a huge job on his hands.

Ricardo is brilliant. Just unfortunately injured. preston have players who want to play for the club. We have a host who look and play like they don’t. 1 of those players hinders a team. That is true. I actually didn’t even think about that. I thought Winks was very good in the championship. Definitely hindered by a huge managerial change and style of play. Pivotal in Enzos possession, then nothing under more defensive minded Cooper. And no idea what Ruud tried to do. I do think there is a player in Winks who could be a focal point of the team. But recently he is self sabotaging. To not score after a goal was obviously pre planned. If he doesn’t want to be here surely just leave and get a contract at another club.

I definitely get this point. I would just say at least now he will get game time. Just a huge shame has a dressing room with poor attitudes, low level of teammates, and huge disconnect from chairman, board, players to fans. he is a huge talent and we will do well to keep him for the season.

I had hoped Winks would stay and be key in a promotion push this season again. However his attitude has clearly shown this is not going to happen. not celebrating when scoring a goal, walking down the tunnel straight after a game. Horrendous attitude and another whose negative attitude will spread in our team. Get rid now. maybe Marti knew this and that’s why played skipp and Soumare. Either way. Get him out now.

Personally would keep Ndidi for the championship. We still need a strong side to get promoted and Ndidi is excellent for this division. Our midfield of winks, ndidi and Skipp should be the best in the league.

Sums the club up. Ruud selected him even when Okoli played well. We now will lose Okoli when we could have played him and prepared for the championship. Instead we played this joke of a defender who cost us numerous games, blamed everyone else and now wants to leave. Good riddance. Far too late

Dreadful at his job, yes Jeers and boos in the stadium absolutely. nothing should ever be violent or cause harm. He is not a horrible person, just dire at his job. surely if he needs security at home games you would think it is not worth it to carry on.

He would be a good manager for our club. We have far more chance of staying in the premier league with Dyche as a manager than others. We can’t play possession based football in the premier league. Build from a strong defensive unit and like Palace yesterday hit on the break. Not a fancy name or style of play. But pragmatic and stand a better chance of results with him than others.

I think out of the promoted sided Ipswich were the only team to strengthen in the transfer window. I do think they will get promoted next season. All of them have had a season of experience in the premier league. And the players you mentioned make for a very strong championship team. the less said about our transfers this year the better. Mads and Bilal will certainly go for us. The rest will be hard to move on. We should get top 6 but we have a far worse t squad than the team under maresca.

You are not wrong. But at this present time we need standards and team work being brought back. We need foundations setting again. Dyche can do this. He can get us promoted and then we are far better placed with Dyche to stay in the league than the dross we have seen this season.

Exactly. Remove players who do not care and are not good enough. They have got us relegated 2 times now. If we still keep and play them. Shocking! play 2 of Okoli, Nelson and souttar. They will do well in the championship. Get rid at any cost the players you have mentioned. Vestegaard too I would add to leave.

This is a huge job for a manager. terrible board, low ability players who don’t care about the club. Fans attend without support. for this season Dyche should be our manager. We need to have standards put in place and he will do that, have the players playing for the club again and knows how to set teams up when / if promoted.

You are correct on this. I just think the timing is so poor. 2 days after he mentioned sorry for a poor season. He then leaves. I imagine he has been told a few months ago if we go down he will not be offered a new contract. players have not played with any commitment to the club for months. To me the timing of this explains a lot. there is a huge season ahead next year. Worse squad than maresca had. Have to get promoted otherwise we will be in championship for quite a few years I fear.

There have been reports mentioning these players are now looking to leave, primarily on social media and on this forum. They will leave this summer. Just shows what a poor squad and team has been put together. We have a far worse squad than last time we were relegated. And we have not got the players to sell that will bring in decent money. Possibly only Mads and Bilal.

One of best ever players and deserves a statue / team statue for the league win. however the timing of this doesn’t sit right. Came out 2 days ago saying sorry for S*show of a season. Today saying he is leaving. He knew he was leaving for months and played like it too. He should have been our leader but we can see on the pitch he has not been. When the best player wants to leave sends a message to others. Winks can’t even be bothered to attend a game to support his teammates. Faes, soumare, VK already said want to leave. Shambles from every player in the squad. Okoli should play every game until end of season. Gain experience for next year. Not players who are not committed to the club. Clearly not learnt from lessons 2 years ago.
