  1. He's certainly not a statesman, he's no different to Top, just an older man child
  2. In the end he is just lacking somewhat, with a wide 3 of Abdul, Stephy & Jeremy, again he is at the back of the queue, maybe that devil or any confidence he may have had earlier in his career has been coached out of him. Will be ok in the Championship BUT NOT a Premier league player or even back up unless he finds something quickly.
  3. I actually have other things to do in my life, than to wait for a disorganised group to wheel out some pyrotechnics, so lets hope they don't take forever. Sunday has NOTHING to do with the owners or a Thai family, its about one man that most revere, or certainly massively appreciate. Lets hope they show some class by keeping a low profile, and leaving the stage to the man himself. I hope they surprise us.
  4. He played in 2 FA Cup finals, 2 League Cup finals (winning once), he won the County Championship as he appeared in the 1975 side. Think but not certain he got an England 'B' cap too
  5. WOW!!! Somebody???? at the club saw something at the club that 97% of Leicester fans didn't and haven't. When you know you are in the PSR swamp in Aug last year, why would you do that?? You'd exert caution, and tell him to live with 3 years OR keep your money in your pocket. Jeez
  6. I can't agree more, I was at the game, there was a 5 min spell before their 2nd goal, when he just had an absolute shocker. I truly hate the guy as a player that can make LCFC a more effective better team. AND whoever decided he was worth £20m/£25m, he has hardly been good enough to get in the team, we bought him for a position we already had covered (Winks/proven) and we're stuck with him now as you said like Vesty. He'll do a job in the Champs, BUT this guy is NOT a Premier League player, hence he couldn't get in a team that may well end up this season 17th. That buy is up there, having him at our club is like dragging a ball and chain. If he goes well next season, get rid, don't offer him a Vesty/Choudry contract.
  7. I read a book about it 10 years ago called: Fifty-Six: The Story of the Bradford Fire It was a stunning and harrowing read, The author Martin Fletcher went to the game: Twelve-year-old Martin Fletcher was at Valley Parade that day, celebrating Bradford's promotion to the second flight, with his dad, brother, uncle and grandfather. Martin was the only one of them to survive the fire - the biggest loss suffered by a single family in any British football disaster. From what I remember he was in a corridor at the back of the stand and came face to face with some girls in the melee, one of them was Gabby Yorath. If you can get it, read it. It was shortlisted for the 2015 William Hill Sports Book of the Year.
  8. Is he actually really a half decent player??? Can't remember when he got his new contract BUT I was lookin down from the top deck at Stamford Bridge when Nicolas Jackson scored Chelsea's 1st in the cup, Vesty was still turning as the ball hit the back of the net & told my lad, thats what the Prem is like Jannik. But no, we decided to give him a forever contract because he looked a good player at a LOWER Level after....... repeatedly failing in the top flight (incl 9-0) along with the curly haired Statler to his Waldorf.
  9. Lovely distraction for about 3 mins, BUT you are more than 100% right AND lets remember NONE of us should buy it and line the club's hierarchy's pockets as they obviously have shown over the last 3-4 years they can be trusted to spend it. The next thing you know, we'll all be answering the email we get asking how the last game (defeat was for us)
  10. Was in the priority and tickets were available Sunday morning, but wanted to try and get a ticket for the final, but they were all gone. A decent amount left at 9.15ish for other sessions but the weekends were pretty sparse so decided to leave it. Next year!!!
  11. Really sad for the fans, the TV and Williams. He was brilliant against Trump, very good against J Higgins & couldn't hit a barndoor with a banjo (see Daka links) in the final first 3 sessions. Yes Zhao was the best player in the tournament, yes he was the best player in the final, but sadly he was never tested, and put under scoreboard and mental pressure, it was an easy ride. He missed a lot of chances in the first 3 sessions and sadly "final" Mark couldn't take advantage, and when Williams missed most of the time Zhao stepped in. In time Williams will realise he had a big chance there, and sadly he didn't perform as he did in the 1/4 & semi. With the lack of decent players under 30 from the UK, the youngest really Trump & Wilson, the number of future UK World champions may become thin on the ground, as we don't have the clubs and venues & social & gaming is more attractive these days.
  12. TBH RVN has tried so many permutations. IF he thinks he's not getting the effort, he has nothing to lose now, they will have already all decided whether he is staying or going, so the last 4 games results are irrelevant. Don't play those he's getting no effort from or he thinks are rubbish, who cares. I suspect even the fans don't, they just want effort 90 mins, I suspect there are NO other expectations this season. Sod the playing passengers. Shame there are now so many injuries or loans.
  13. Daka Times are hard=PSR
  14. Winston Bogarde mk II I mean: “I don’t know about the contract details. From our side, It makes no sense to bring him back because if he’s not playing at Leicester, then why should he play for Crystal Palace? SAYS A MANAGER WITH A BRAIN, proved by reaching the FA Cup Final
  15. And he missed that sitter at Stamford Bridge near the end after the cup win that would have enabled us to reach the ECL in 21
  16. It all started so well in that penalty shoot out win over Wolves in the League Cup, he was THE hero
  17. In light of this thread, and there is a lot of rubbish signed over the last 8-10 years. How did we win the title, finish 5th twice, reach a ECL 1/4 final & Euro semi & finish 5th twice. Wow!!!
  18. Totally agree That is the one thing I would say to everybody I know that goes down, if they have no desire to do the best for the club and laughing after we are going down etc. and financial stupidity for a number of years. Then go to the game, socialise with your friends, expend a bit of emotional energy, support your club to the hilt but NOTHING ELSE. As they treat us like criminals and control something WE PAY for, the ST, i.e. on a phone (when not needed yet), restrict the number of times you can share something you have paid for. A totally broken playing side in terms of managerial ability (repeatedly now) and a totally unhappy/disengaged dressing room & playing staff.
  19. I like the guys effort BUT the quality or football nous just isn't there, he is a comedy footballer and will kill people in the stands with his shooting. BUT he did actually score 7 goals in 20 Championship appearances last time out, IF by the end of the window he knows he's got half a season as first choice at least, that goal rate across the season would be close to 20. AND he did score 54 goals in 82 Austrian Bundesliga games. But yes generally he is pants. We'll struggle to sell unless we can get him out on loan It also just reiterates the contractual stupidity we brought on ourselves, we can't get rid because we pay him too much. Rudders..............
  20. Will this sell out now that it's Vardy's last game......if there was any doubt it wouldn't
  21. I think in the absence of ANY communication from the club and with the current unhappiness level of most on here (probably rightly so) and various speculative sources, many look to fill that communication void, totally understandable. Our current reality means we are looking for hope, and based on the last 3 years and no current communication from a longstanding ownership and leadership group with recent embarrassing failure and a group of unmotivated players AND what looks to be an incapable manager. It just amplifies our disappointment and anger. King Power did an amazing job for 8-10 years, beyond all expectations, but have done a truly terrible job since the Forest FA Cup exit. We have visibility of some of it, our 2 relegations, BUT we don't have visibility of how they walked into PSR issues, which is causing so much of the problems now. Pretty much their strategical/managerial decision making since the start of the 22/23 if not before has been in my view (and probably many of you an unmitigated disaster) Do I want them out, NO, do I want change, YES. They can no longer manage this club to even a low degree of success with this leadership team. But we have to be careful what we wish for IF they go, look at others, its probably 50/50 success/failure. Either Rudkin has to go OR they find another "Football Expert", younger probably who they give real responsibility and accountability to alongside or over him, to make us more agile, to make better buying/selling/contractual/managerial appointing decisions, with a drive by all of them to 1) get us back to the top flight end of next season ideally 2) do everything we can to stay there 3) get a top flight platform to kick on in the next 3-5 seasons. Everybody on FT knows this, sadly we want it NOW and now that we have been relegated it is a multi year project & maybe slower to achieve with the problems in place and the quality vs 2 years ago. That will make none of us happy in the absence of any sound from the ownership or suggestion of what they want to achieve & acceptance at any level of mistakes made.
  22. IF Top & Rudders have a brain & we know they haven't, he will be gone UNLESS its too costly to get rid. He really doesn't have a clue, sorry the results since West Ham & Brighton, aside from Spurs have been historical AND NOT IN A GOOD WAY They have to try and bounce back 1st season in one way, there is to much damage there now, the players need a new voice. The field isn't great but they should be looking now and for gods sake like last time (Enzo) go for something new and exciting, not some failure from elsewhere e.g. Martin
  23. Ramsey was in the pubs and clubs of Lestah loads in the 80's, saw him many a time. And Mr O'Neill was at one point Leicester's most capped international player, took over from a certain Gordon Banks, might still be so. Vital members of Gordon Milne's promoted side. Ramsey was a member of the PM's midfield along with Ian Wilson & Kevin Mcdonald behind that 50 goal strike force of: Super Stevie Lynex, Alan "Smudger" (I read from an autocue/bingo tick list on Sky commentary) Smith & a certain Gary Lineker.
  24. The post mortem starts with this no more:
