  1. Don't employ someone who talks about being humble but clearly lacks any of the humility they need for the job.
  2. If you listen to it, she had spoken to O'hara on Saturday, so it was all stage-managed.
  3. It is all about perception, and it should be doing better. The team lacks strong characters who have been gradually shipped out of the club by Rodgers. These are the type of players that give you the will to fight when the s**t hits the fan. It is no coincidence, Rodgers cosied up to these when he arrived, he knew the power dynamics of the dressing room, but to get full control he had to be careful. He then gradually lessened their influence at the club and wrongly got rid of the biggest gob in the dressing room, and replaced him with DW. You need players that are going annoy the hell out of the others, you can't have a dressing room full of nice guys, this is why our club finds itself in a bind, the squad has talent but no balls.
  4. What the hell, we are not going to get much better on a short-term deal, the club/board wants to keep their options open for when/if we go down. At least Shakey knows the club inside out, and maybe we could just get a response from the players, let's be honest it can't get much worse....can it?
  5. I think we are probably relegated, but as they say, it isn't over until the fat lady sings.....apologies to any females, non-binary and overweight people for the comment. Surely the club just has to get a stop-gap manager until the end of the season, I didn't get the Jessie Marsch 3-year contract rumours, it doesn't make sense nor would any long-term deal at the moment. I think the lack of high-level candidates, shows just where we are as a club, it is all very depressing from 2 seasons ago. Can't we bring Puel back as a director of football at least he knows how to build a young quality team? Although keep him well away from the playing side!
  6. Yep, Pearson won't come he lives in the South West now, and the commute to Leicester would be horrendous.
  7. Even the rats try to leave a sinking ship! We are a bit of a joke at the moment, getting allegedly turned down by Jessie Marcsh has got to hurt, and now we are going back for managers that didn't get it in the first place. Sky will have a full-blown documentary on us at the end of the season, it will be comedy gold.
  8. Perhaps these players were never that good and we have just been led to believe that we have quality in the team?
  9. It comes to something when you wish your team wasn't playing every weekend even when it is against Bournemouth.
  10. As my late Stepfather use to say "You can slide further on Bulls**t than a gravel path"! Bulls**t sometimes gets you a long way in life and who hasn't worked under someone, or a group of people and thought, "You're bloody useless, how the hell did you get to this position". Eventually, they get found out, and when it is too late the damage has been done. Maybe our club has been run like this for the last few years, by the 'Director of Football', the 'Manager' and the 'Head of Recruitment', and now as always in life, there is a payback.
  11. I don't get this deification of Söyüncü by some on FT, he's downed tools and doesn't want to play for the club, as far as I'm concerned he can sod off.........unless he comes back for the last few games and makes a goal-line clearance or two, then scores an injury time winner to save our season, then all is forgiven!
  12. Could be one of the worse things the club has done in recent times, but you just never know, if it works then MON would be the legend of legends, on the other hand, if it goes south then he will be less fondly remembered!
  13. For me, it has smelt of relegation all season, but then again I have been wrong in the past. I have gone past the stage of caring(I still do of course), which is normal for us fans, it helps protect against further pain, and it is a way of coping. A win against Bournemouth on Saturday and maybe the glass will half-fill up again, but being a Leicester fan the glass doesn't seem to be half-empty, it is nearly always completely empty, the "joie de vivre" of a football fan.
  14. Top and the board need a big reality check. The only reason I can think they have stayed with Rodgers is that they believe we still have a top-class manager. They have convinced themselves that if the club can just get over this, then we have a very good manager for next season. But they have failed to understand that Rodgers is not the man when the going gets tough, he's a coach for when the sun is shining. The rabbits need to stop looking at those headlights because we know what happens afterward.
  15. He won't be sacked and our board continues to be asleep at the wheel, I think Top has also badly misread the runes! Supporters can see the collapse of Leicester from the outside, but how he is still in a job? I just can't fathom it.
  16. I'm nearly past caring about whether we are relegated or not, I just want to see my club give it a go until the end of the season, that is all.
  17. I believe Rob Tanner made a similar point on Radio Leicester, it would take a lot of time and effort to unpick Rodger's influence at the club. The club could feel Rodgers isn't the man to continue long-term, but they are unsure or can't get the right person for the job, either way, they just seem to be coming across like rabbits caught in headlights.
  18. For the first couple of years, then we know what happens.
  19. You can't say we are sleeping walking to relegation, so why can't the board see what we fans see?
  20. You're probably right, he maybe has one more game to save his job, but if we win next week, then afterward it is back to another 2 or 3 defeats and eventually, he finally gets the sack, it is probably too late by then......sometimes you just can't dither.
  21. I think the board must be suffering from 'confirmation bias' they believe Rodgers is the man to get us through this, and any little glimmer like having more shots, etc on Saturday and supposedly being unlucky against Southampton has only reinforced their belief in Rodgers. It is as if they are doubling down and digging their heels in when the evidence points to the opposite, they don't want to admit they have been wrong whilst the ship is sinking!
  22. Why is it that we supporters can see relegation coming, but the board and the owners have their heads in the sand, as big Nige said 'I think you must be an ostrich. Is your head in the sand? ' I just don't see the mentality and the know-how in this team, it's as if Rodgers wants 11 Joe Allens playing for the club. He has gradually rooted out the old guard, first by praising them, and then he's slowly gotten rid of any voice of dissent. This season if he knew there was going to be a relegation battle on the horizon, then why jettison your pros who've been there and done it before? It's as if Rodgers has got his tentacles well and truly around the club, and he's slowly crushing us. I don't like this team and the house that Rodgers built, it seems to be rotten to the core, I look around and I see other teams mentally up for the fight, but not us, we are the Keystone cops at the back, and if your foundations aren't solid, then you sink. He has to be sacked this week if the club has a chance of avoiding the drop.
  23. This topic will get to 3 million views and he will still be here. I'm resigned to the Championship next season with Brendon still in charge, talking about how he saved the club by going down in order to make us stronger, and it will be his greatest achievement.
  24. I don't think he'll pull the trigger, for some reason he's convinced Rodgers is still the man.
  25. Plan your championship away days!
