Winks depends wholly on his attitude and application which dramatically needs to improve. Monga is still best placed off the bench for 20-30 minutes and there are obviously roles for Hamza, Ayew. I was even impressed with Daka off the bench on Friday. Its a much healthier squad now, when all fully fit, will be interesting to see who doesn’t make match day squads

Positive. It doesn’t feel like we are a financial mess with our heads buried in the sand. Marti has a decent, young, energetic squad at his disposal that should push for play offs.

First thoughts the same as you all, and then I remembered that I was on here at the start of the summer saying he wouldn’t play championship football and best we could hope for was a loan to the continent and hope we see him next season back in the prem. A) clear he wants to go B) apparently it’s technically with an option but very likely they are met, so pushes profit into the next year instead of this one (which is fine after JJ and Kasey sales) C) if it doesn’t get triggered…we still have Bilal

Loan with an option, I don’t mind this. Not a great record at Feyenoord, but decent in MLS and seems the right “profile” of forward. We missed the boat on centre forwards unless we plan on spending £10m+ which I just don’t see happening.

He’s a really underrated player, on his day, one of the best in the league and by far the best player at his club…however, any resources going into a winger is utterly wasted. It’s not difficult. Centre Forward, Centre Midfield, Bilal replacement

Yeah agree. I am being slightly hypocritical, before the season (Post Marti appointment) I wrote a list of incoming/outgoing signings and Erabi was on that plan, but as a backup forward option. Fair to say we’ve missed out on a few others I had.

If he was crap, Marti wouldn’t be after him, and you have to imagine it’s a signing he’s recommended. Doesn’t strike me as the goalscorer we need, but could be worse

Confidence just got destroyed by Cooper, was just starting to get a little bit back with steady game time under Ruud and then got injured. He will come good this season, too good not to, but he is streaky. As much as Monga is playing better, Mavididi starting and Monga on for the last 20-30 minutes is definitely the best tactic at the moment

Don’t think he’s made a bad sub in our first 4 games. They’ve had a positive impact in pretty much every game. give him a creative midfielder, a mobile midfielder and a goalscorer and I’d very much back us for play offs.
