Personally, i think he was a poor Captain, but thats my opinion. He tried to lead by example, and he led the team during one of the worst barren spells we have ever had. Its fine when hes banging the goals in, but when the chips are down and he is missing chances, you could see the teams heads visibly drop and he had no tools to do anything about it. He had 2 good traits as a captain - he would get in the refs ear, and if he could score it would raise everyones spirits. It in no ways clouds my judgment on the complete awesome sauce that is Jamie Vardy. I dont expect all people to make great leaders. But i dont want to pretend that we have lost an amazing captain in him moving on. Losing Kasper was much bigger deal for us in terms of leadership. I vividly remember Kasper working hard with his players - things i never saw from Vardy. We lost something else when Vardy left.

If thats the case then the fans need to give them a chance too. Woyo has a about 50 mins of football for us and Aluko is straight out of the academy. I'm all for it, but our fan base was already referring to Nelson as rubbish after the first half on Wednesday. Its going to take time.

Personally think Soumare is being given every change he can to prove himself. I actually think that is fair enough, but its clearly not working. I expect to see him again against Preston but im not sure how long it will carry on unless we see a change from him. Skipp is suffering from this too. Was he? - im not sure of this. Beyond this forum I don't think many people would have heard of him. There was definitely interest before his injury as he was playing exceptionally well at academy level, so any excitement was warranted, but i never remember there being a massive hype train. There has justifiably been much more noise about Monga.

Why?He was loaned championship level last season and showed good signs. Why drop a level even further. He needs games and he needs and he needs to be allowed to have games where he just doesn’t play well. It’s not as if he was the only one.

If he was a new signing many would be saying he needs game time to get up to speed, but because hes academy he's got to be beaten up and hung out to dry. Remember Bilal looked very rusty in his early games. He needs games. This was one of his first starts for us and he's going to need time to get up to speed / adapt like any player does. Some players seem to be allowed to stink teams out consistently. We know he's got the talent, but he's now got to develop and kick up a gear. But you dont do that not playing football. It’s unpopular, but Faes is better than Okoli, especially at this level. Okoli has games where he looks terrible, and I thought that again on Sunday. It might take time for him to develop, but I have a feeling we have a potential fraud in our hands.
