  1. I'm thinking about actual sit down interviews, where they can actually talk about themselves. Not post match/pre match talking head where they get them for 2mins. Not going to get anything worthwhile from them in their tracksuits, with their Louis Vuitton washbags under their arms.
  2. For those wondering, it was Albrighton that said the new training ground had a negative effect. Think it was on the Ben Foster Podcast - great interview if you haven't heard it already. But one thing he was alluding to was the culture change, simple stuff like having staff to clear your own dinner plates, extra trainers and masseuses to get spa treatments whenever they liked. Both him and Waghorn (on the club's podcast with Elliott and Taggart), have said the great thing about Leicester was how down-to-earth and roll-your-sleeves-up the club was at Belvoir Drive - that sort of stuff breeds togetherness. Vestergaard probably never sees Faes during the week. JV's walking his dog around the golf course, and Wout's getting his perm done.
  3. It will take more than one goal, and a few minutes of a good performance against a minnow to change the minds of many Leicester fans.
  4. Why do I dislike this bunch of players so much? I'd rather not get promoted this season, if it meant getting rid of these charlatans and bringing in some players I can get behind... That got me thinking - I've never heard anything from these players, bar the occasional post-match interview on the club's socials. We hear rumours, but why are they not speaking directly to BBC Radio Leicester, the Mercury, The Athletic etc etc? All legit news sources that would give them a fair interview. For example: Never heard an interview with Faes since he arrived. How does he feel about the relegations? What's his preferred playing system? How did he feel about the boos? He and his partner were close to tears when he signed for Leicester - Has he and his family settled in Leicestershire? All we know about Faes is that he waddles around the pitch, shrugs his shoulders when something goes wrong and has a habit of slashing tackles and clearances. And that goes for nearly all the team. The club has no idea about PR. We might support the players more if we knew about them on a human level. And if they opened up to the locals, they might care about the club a bit more...
  5. I think the reasoning behind the booing is simple: Play like you don't care, have a sulk on and give up = Boo Run around, get stuck in, play with passion = No boo It's not difficult, if the players don't want to be booed, they should try harder and look like they care.
  6. All of the points above are valid ones, and that's why it's got nothing to do with money. They're just incompetent.
  7. Anyone remember Ron Robert Zieler? Had an amazing record in Germany (most consecutive appearances or something like that), moaned about not getting in ahead of Kasper, and when he did get a game he dropped the ball into the net? Special mention to the League 1 season - I don't think we actually had a registered goalkeeper that season, just kept loaning them in. David Stockdale, David Martin, Mark Bunn, Tony Warner?!
  8. Never seen a striker tackle so hard. The needless one against a Wolves player that got him a red card. Broke the lad in two. You just love to see it.
  9. An attempt to add some names from further afield: García Pimienta Just left Sevilla, but he's not the only manager in recent times who hasn't been able to get them back where they want to be. Made his name at Las Palmas, earned his badges at La Masia. Got Las Palmas promoted from the second tier, and kept them up. If you want to try and replicate what Maresca did with our bunch in the Championship, this guy is very similar. Las Palmas had the second highest possession stats in La Liga with him in charge. Subscribes to the rule - if you have the ball the opposition can't score. Has proven this strategy can be implemented with inferior players, but the "Gerrit forward" brigade probably won't enjoy it.
  10. HOLD ON commercial revenue for the last year we were in the Prem was £300k?! Yet in the Champo we brought in nearly £10mil. WTF was the commercial team doing?! Ryan Reynolds probably charges that for one advert. We can have a go at Rudkin for his incompetence, quite rightly. But how on earth does a Premier League football team only bring in £300k in one year - that falls on the CEO and owner, right?! Read the statement wrong... Rudkin, Whelan and Top are still clowns, though
  11. I can't do the screenshot approach, my phone won't let me (just get a blank image). However I do have the little "share" icon in the top right corner. Has anyone else got this, and has been able to share successfully?
  12. Wouldn't have needed to do that if he ran the club properly in the first place
  13. New lyrics to classic chants. Might as well embrace the mess we're in... Straight back down, straight back down, Leicester City Straight back down, straight back down, I say Straight back down, straight back down, Leicester City Playing football the Rudkin way - On Wednesday night, under the lights We'll be in Watford We'll be in Stoke Queens Park Rangers will never phase us As we go and follow our team - We're all going on a Championship tour, a Championship tour, a Championship tour, We're all going on a Championship tour, a Championship tour, a Championship tour, Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong, Dilly Ding, Dilly Dong
  14. Fantastic article. Couldn't agree more. It's as if some members of the club have naturally run their course, and they have never bothered to replace them. I wouldn't be surprised if the younger generation of fan doesn't know who the Birch is. Where's the community outreach? Mascot prices are extortionate. Where are the guests from local schools and clubs? Where's any half time entertainment? They barely even put the scores on the screens at half time. So much is happening in Leicestershire, every day, so many people that would love to do something pre match or at half time - for free and just to be part of the club for a day. These aren't radical suggestions that you only see in American sports and the best clubs in the world, these are suggestions of stuff we used to do, and you see every weekend up and down the footballing pyramid.
  15. Here's some context you can share with those casual football fans, or football fans that have never noticed Leicester were in the Premier League. 2015-2022 7 years, not just a blip, not just a fluke or a miracle, 7 years when Leicester were a top side. That included: Only 1 season where they finished in the bottom half. That season was the season played in the Champions League. 2 fifth-place finishes. 1 season where they spent the most time in first place (before Liverpool eventually won it) 1 year in the Europa League 1 year in the Conference League, with a semi-final finish 1 Community Sheild 1 FA Cup 1 Premier League title With all of that success, the club never capitalised commercially or organisationally, leading to, between 2021-2023 the club losing over £210million, when the Premier League rules only permit £105mil over the same period. Relegation to the Championship followed an 8th placed finish, and the year in Conference League. And now Leicester are headed for an eternity in the EFL fighting court cases, transfer embargoes and points deductions. We're not "entitled" as a fan base, we actually were a "top side", we've won trophies more recently than some other "top sides". We are entitled to a voice. Let's use it.
  16. I think it comes back to the lack of PR and Communications at our club. Us fans feel disenfranchised by our club - with strange "business" decisions and lack of accountability. That's bad PR. But other clubs and the media don't know what's going on at Leicester, and don't have anything to report. That's bad PR. To be a good PR & Communications director you have to build relationships in the industry. We don't have a good director, so no one in the industry knows what's going on.
  17. Has anyone actually managed to sell their ticket via the resell platform? Last season, and this, I've not been able to make a handful of games, every time I've put them on the platform, and each time they've not been sold. Also tried "forwarding" my ticket to my dad for a game, and the platform wouldn't let me, rang the ticket office, which was closed, at 11am the day before the game... Scam.
  18. I've always found the PR and Communication from KP/Leicester City to be minimal. It didn't matter so much when we were winning, when we were making shrewd signings, selling players for mega, and announcing new training grounds and stadiums. It's why we never get a fair crack in the media and on shows like Match of the Day (Linekar will make some joke, and one of the bald ones will throw some shade), it's why good journalists struggle to write stories about us, it's why we hardly ever get linked to new transfers, it's why when they make club statements they feel so far removed from the situation, it's why when prices increase they make no sense to us. It's a strategy, it needs a PR team to be making connections with those in the media, so Leicester get some air time, but also so they can share news. It also needs a team to reach out to the community, engage with younger fans, fan groups like Foxes Trust, Union FS etc., so when they are planning a big change like season ticket prices/ digital tickets, they know how to handle it. It doesn't need Rudkin doing a Q&A or Whelan filming a selfie. It's also more than a free beer and doughnut before the game. But the fact that writers like Blackwell from the Mercury or Tanner from The Athletic never write about Rudkin or Whelan suggests to me they don't have a connection with them. But I fear there isn't a media/PR/comms team. There's no transparency around who even works at the club. My gut says it is literally Rudkin and Whelan talking to the social media guy to put out a statement when we have news to break... Tin pot.
  19. Unfortunately, I think we've got another season and a half of the current situation. The financial rules (FFP/PSR), and the club will blame the financial rules, mean that we need to get out of this mega-debt 3-year cycle. So they'll batten down the hatches from a financial point of view, go with the bargain manager and loaning in star players, until we're out of it. Then we can rebuild. I guess the thing is us fans want to see a rebuild now, we want to see a club with a plan and an identity. But who is going to invest in a club that is riddled financially, has two league organisations breathing down its neck (EPL & EFL), and has a bunch of morons running the thing?
  20. "I wasn't worried until you told me not to worry." I read that statement to tell us BC Game haven't actually paid for their sponsorship yet, so we could be ducked
  21. I'm 100% here for Cooper's comments on VAR and referees. We've been nicely nicely Leicester for too long in my opinion (Play like that and we'll be absolutely fine, someone once said). I want the fight back in my team, I want "game management", I want hard tackles. If we are to be relegated this season, I don't want it to be easy for the opposition. Cooper's comments weren't really for the players, he'll be giving his instructions in the training ground. Those comments were for us the fans, and for the Premier League. The referees in this division are shite, and we can make King Power a horrible place for a referee to come. The referees in this division are incredibly easily influenced, and if a raucous King Power intimidates them into a decision in our favour I'm taking it.
  22. The Titanic is sinking, but don't worry, they've brought a bucket.
  23. Thought he was reborn as the "inverted full back" role next to Winks in midfield. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the legs to be bombing up and down the wing all day anymore. But he does still have the technical quality and the football brain to play in the middle. Made a huge difference last season when he was out for a few weeks and Hamza tried to play a similar role.
  24. Enraged by the fee to watch the friendly against Shrewsbury online: £10 here, £25 there, £15 increase on kits etc etc. This isn't going to solve our financial problems, rid us of PSR worries, or generate that much revenue. It's just going to PISS OFF a lot of people. Those amounts mean far more to us the fans than they do to the club.
  25. Definite snake behaviour from Enzo. But referencing loyalty in their statement whilst the club continues to make decisions that alienate fans. Where did I put my tiny violin?
