Came here to post that Couldn't stand the Chris Pratt movies personally. Haven't even seen the 3rd one. I do have some faith in this one being good - directed by Gareth Edwards (Monster, Godzilla, Star Was Rogue One, The Creator) who has a really innovative and pragmatic approach to directing and using VFX.
