Yeah and it's the gaps that are the issue, you'd find similar records at a lot of mid clubs - Norwich, WBA, Fulham, Burnley in recent times. Yo-yo to me is between top flight and Championship one season to another. On your list that's between 01-03 and 22-24. If you're up there for 4 or 5 seasons that's not yo-yo-ing.

This was true until the 80s. We had established ourselves in the top flight for nearly a decade after being away for a decade. That's a very long YO.

I used to think Akinbiyi wouldn't be topped as our worst ever striker and Jermaine Beckford ran him close through sheer laziness (masked only by one outstanding game against Forest) but between Daka and Ayew I can't see the title ever being taken. Ayew took 68 seconds of his sub appearance to fall over today and his 15 minute cameo trot round the grass was woeful. But pound-for-pound, goal return & everything Patson will take some beating. The fee and wages spiralling into the 40m region is truly staggering. When you look at the likes of Ayew, Daka, Faes, Ward, Thomas and what they replaced, it brings our downfall into staggering focus. It's just a shame ratings don't decide wages. -

About two years ago I took myself out of every one of those groups. Blue And White Kop was getting to the stage of keys in a bowl and any of the rest using phrases like "the fox family" to describe their mates on there were like being caught in a Waltons re-run. Do the same, it'll change your life 😁 -

Engine room gets us that point. Skipp, Winks & Mukasa had a grip going forward and defensively. He's got a huge decision when JJ is back fit. -

Stoke-holm syndrome? -
It's not unlucky. Lip read him after the chance "Got to fVckin score". He knows it himself. Closes his eyes, doesn't head it right. If you're any sort of player you pile into that and take everything into the net, you, the ball, other players. He just glances it instead. Hopeless.

Will we end up with AFC Leicester City?

There's already a phoenix thread, cant be arsed going over it all again -
I've seen 2 or 3 this season where you know he'd have been saving them back in the day. He'll definitely quit internationals after the World Cup. Just a case of whether he calls it a day at Celtic too.
-
The nearly 4 weeks its taken to 'secure' his services, no. But that its virtually done, yes. His only aim this season is to get us to 21st, grind out about 15pts and do enough to stay in touch with Pompey, Blackburn or Baggies. The last few weeks should tell you that no-one else wants the job.

We used to laugh at other clubs being ran in this way.

Actually, Vichai chose Puel. He died before having the chance to sack the useless cvnt. -
5Live just covered the West Hams plane banner over the Pirelli stadium. West Ham banned banners inside their owm stadium so theyve gone airborne.

We shouldnt wait for that lowest ebb. Last time down there Mandaric finally got lucky getting Pearson after all his previous 4 choices sent us down. I dont trust Aiyawatt to put on matching socks in the morning let alone pick a manager or turn the club round. Football is cyclical - Liverpool, United, Forest, Leeds....they've all had highs and lows, we just need to make sure we've already had ours. -
Straightforward to the Go West tune Aiyawatt! Sell the club!
-
Those second half tactics reminded me of the Sadler and Stowell game (Brentford away?) But to take off evwry attacker when you're clinging on is football suicide. That said,he shouldnt be in this position. 3 weeks drifting with no plan, no replacement manager, when the club is on its arse is criminal. I feel for the guy, its like having the boy scouts leading you through the Amazon. He's as out of his depth as Top and Rudkin.
-
Spot on. That's me done for the season. Just like you "empty chair" people in a protest, this lot need empty seats game after game til the club is sold or some sort of major action is taken to shake the whole club up. King Power out.
-
Because Hamza is injured and the squad depth is shite.
-
Lascelles has had serious injuries for the last 4 years. Just like Ricardo for moat of the last two seasons and other players over the years he can't do two games a week. He's very obviously not dropped.
-
Maybe if Hamza wasnt injured and the club brought in a replacement he wouldnt have to play him. I dont want him there either but instead of carping lets hear your option. He's literally got VK or Thomas and Aluko or Ricky. The squad depth is shite. The team is shite. But King's there to keep it ticking over til Martin, Southgate or plan C turn up. He's got an impossible job.
-
Dropped Stolarcyk and Ayew already, Lascelles is a poundshop Ledley King with his injury record. Luke Thomas aside what do you want him to do? He's a literal caretaker keeping the seat warm. Give it a rest.
-
27k according to the club. 29k if you're the Brockmeister. Debating over watching a corpse of a club or staying in and watching a corpse on Silent Witness.

Lock this thread, it started as a pisstake but has attracted some real clown comments. Two games ruined by two dumb sending offs as if his job wasnt hard enough he's doing it for about 130 minutes with 10 men (9 if you count Daka). Even if he's in til May he has my backing 100% just for having the b0ll0cks to try and get a tune from this bunch of cretins.
