  1. Go back to the 90s. Every time you buy a ticket your card gets stamped. Next game the priority goes to those with a stamp from the last game, so on and so forth. You can pretty much start it fresh every season. The first away game the following season goes to those with 10+ stamps from the previous season. Obviously these days it'd be loaded onto the card but it'd eliminate the 5 or 6 years of priority points nonsense.Taking the risk of first come first served in a queue must be better than the same 500 people getting first dibs for years.
  2. Only 9 more tickets than St Andrews and that's still being rebuilt!
  3. Exactly this. Another reason why they don't speak truth to power as it would disrupt their pally relationship with the club and the neat little symbiotic relationship they have going on.
  4. Maybe they are. The last batch of deals handed out put Maddison, Youri and others way over what a club our size should be paying. Given that neither Wilf nor Nacho has signed a deal yet, surely that's us playing hardball? But we're hardly likely to be keeping players like that out in the cold when our clear aim is to get back up first time. Hasn't Wanya got a similar contract situation and he's even gone behind Daka in the pecking order.
  5. They've lost two games since January, one of those was Leeds. The draw at Birmingham was a 2 goal comeback, if it had been the other way round you might have a point.
  6. Gritty 1-0 will be fine but Boro have re-discovered the form that got them into the play offs last time out. Maybe start Coady and try and to instill a bit of a sensible head in the back four. They just seem to be taking the risky pass out that little bit too far in recent games.
  7. I'd have accepted 11 points behind the leaders and in touch with the play-offs so to be in this position after 3 months is a dream. I'm very much on board the promotion cruise liner mentioned elsewhere but I've seen too many seasons to think we're home & hosed, especially with Ipswich having the sort of momentum last seen in 2016.
  8. No I'm well aware of the various machinations of what's happened in the ground since it was built, why it was constructed in that way and it's various failings. TBF if you're in SK3 this isn't that relevant to you anyway. This more revolves around the difference between SK1 and SK2. Using the word "choirs" is all very humourous but that's the basic idea that groups of guys have been congregating together singing songs and forming the basis of terrace culture in this country since the 50s and 60s. Orchestrated singalongs goes from the basic "C'mon Leicester" to anything with twelve verses and involving the questionable parentage of the referee/goalkeeper/rotund opposition central midfielder. Pretty sure the guys having a "singalong" are more than capable of also chatting about our tactical prowess with their mates as well as anyone just there to analyse play. I can guarantee you this club will never consider and has never considered moving the Kop next to the away fans. The very reason they're at the opposite end of the ground from our traditional kop is to prevent a repeat of the coin-swapping antics of the late 90s and why the club reacted with horror when it became apparent people were more than happy to swap their shiny blue Kop seat for one in L block in exchange for a bit of banter. Their idea of creating an "atmosphere" extends to Filbert the Fox, clappers, t-shirt cannons and that annoying bloke who wishes he was Chris Moyles on the stage next to the statue.
  9. Against Rovrum or Hudds at home, sure. Take the ball off Vesty, pass right to Ricky/Harry turn 90 degrees and face forwards. Repeat 126 times
  10. The moaning about creating a singing section from the flask and blanket brigade would double. Personally if I ever get that lottery win and a place on the board I'd be straight on the CCTV having those fcvkers STs revoked but until then you'll get opposition from anything progressive. Let's not forget about a dozen people complained that tifo's block their view, so asking more people to move 20 yards to the left would be an outrage.
  11. Losing Wilf and Akgun has been a major miss for us. Wilf presses high and had 3 goals and assists in 6 games before his injury. Casadei isn't an 8 IMO, maybe a 6 but he's not got a forward pass in him. He keeps it, tidy short passes but his forward play is pretty poor.
  12. Why are we developing Casadei? Chelsea aren't selling and we have better than him in that position. If you're not good enough to play there you won't play. Iversen, Souttar, Daka are all examples of this. A fit Ndidi and Akgun and he's probably 3rd choice. The only thing Praet's benefitted from is the absence of Rodgers. Another one that just needed a man manager not an ego.
  13. He'd be playing the 8 role much better than Casadei. Decent in pre-season, pinpoint assist for KDH vs Cov. Not the answer maybe in the top flight but he'd be first choice for any team in this division. Given he's got a similar injury to Cannon you'd expect him back in a similar timeframe too.
  14. 5? we've conceded some sloppy goals but never really looked like losing. The standard of finishing in this division is so terrible I wouldn't be surprised if we only lose to Leeds away and a George Hirst hat-trick at Portman Road. Seriously though, Sunderland away, Leeds away and Ipswich doing the double over us is about it. I've seen enough from the other sides in this division to think we'd be disappointed dropping points to any of them.
  15. Old news but so have the clappers. They drown out the singing and people think they're contributing but it's just making them join in less vocally. I'm there singing along to "a boy who can do anything" and these drones are just sitting there slapping their cardboard pacifiers with no sort of idea what the song is or who it's about.
  16. Hopefully Wilf is back after the international break and we can get a bit of fluidity back. All this using players in slightly different positions isn't helping. The last 2 or 3 have been tough going partly because of his absence (never thought I could say that again) but as for Hamza I'd have him in at LB. He's got more energy than Justin and did well there a few games ago. JJ just doesn't look comfortable in this system and whatever anyone says those injuries have definitely made him less mobile in that LB role.
  17. Funny but not original, Millwall get credit for that I think.
  18. Most important thing is to start a new run Vs Boro. The morons behind us last night spouting shit like "these tactics were always going to cost us eventually" are hopefully a minority. "eventually" like they were waiting 3 months for a defeat 😑
  19. The way he faded (or just stopped getting passed to) in the second half shows how we need Akgun and Kasey back. Our forward energy comes from the wings and both him and Mavididi have had long runs in the side without too much cover.
  20. Another shit ref. Players walked all over him, took the piss with time wasting and on a couple of occasions totally guessed at decisions, waiting for a linesman 60 yards away to flag before even making a call. Booking Hamza for allowing himself to be shoved probably summed him up. We don't need them relegating Anthony Taylor to this level, there's enough dross down here already.
  21. I did wonder if he can turn Ndidi into an attacking force whether Hamza with his energy and pressing can do the same but it seems the answer to that is no. Shame because he certainly puts himself about far more than Casadei. Great saving tackle though, that was like something from his debut year.
  22. I looked across tonight and there's literally two people, probably you and her, doing anything more than mildly slapping their cardboard tw@sticks. How anyone moans about the section is beyond me. We'd be a soul-less graveyard without it because apart from a couple of C'mon Leicesters tonight there was nothing from anywhere except the corner. We're about two seasons away from being a Norwich or a QPR.
  23. Thought the opposite. Fatawu skinned Byram a couple of times but as soon as he got him on a yellow card he seemed to stop taking him on, started to get less of the ball and things started to go through Mavididi too much. At one point in the 2nd half Maresca and Fatawu were standing next to each other waving arms for someone to get the ball out to him in acres of space. Ricardo our best player by a mile and has been for a month. Like some sort of midfield minesweeper. In fact he was almost wasted moving into the 8 role when Hamza came on.
  24. Just the opposite. Leeds pressing high and being progressive for the first hour should have suited Vardy. Instead he started to drop deep and come looking for the ball Nacho-style. Left us with no-one in the middle to target when the wingers had the ball. Combined with KDH being pretty tightly marked we had nothing through the middle at all.
  25. Got 2 or 3 bollockings off him during the first half. During one break in play Winks was just staring at him shaking his head so he'd clearly wound him up with his display. Yes he's young but so is Fatawu, so is McAteer, and Hermansen. Akgun isn't much older and he's picking the pace and style up better too having been in the Turkish league. He's playing safe, easy passes and getting knocked off the ball far too easily for someone of his build. A very obvious weak link right now.
