I don't think you can't bracket the exit of one of our greatest ever players in Riyad Mahrez in with Fofana, you probably can't bracket him in with Tielemans either. Mahrez was still producing the goods when he left and his sale arguably helped fund a really solid summer of transfers (Ward aside lol). Fofana had just come back from a major injury – it looks more insane with hindsight that Chelsea were willing to pay so much for someone who'd played a dozen or so games for us after his return. But the timing of his move shafted us, granted we were a disorganised mess, he can't be blamed for that. Tielemans was phenomenal for a few years and gave us one of the best moments the club will ever have, but played like Touri Yielemans for his last year and ****ed off for nothing.
