  1. On the bloody board as much as Cooper, rancid from top to bottom
  2. I love the Rutland Arms, borderline essential gaff but the "music banned from the jukebox" shit is tryhard bollocks.
  3. TAPPING THE ADMIRAL STILL GOATED what a pub, mes qué un pub. The best. Loved it before, love it now, will love it forever. Perfect gaff
  4. @bovril Magdala is a lovely little gaff ain't she Bovvy, hats off. Lovely Harvey's Best with a decent crowd in ambient lighting that makes my already prominent cheekbones really sing 8 Miquels out of 10
  5. Aha the beer I had was a mild from marble and it was great, no qualms with that but the smell was overbearing so moved on. Landseer Arms, beer on Susan Perb form and a lovely gaff
  6. Took the old boy the Warrington Hotel and the Prince Alfred round Maida Vale / Warwick Ave. Both still decent. Gone in the Robin up Crouch Hill, a gaff I'd heard nothing but good things about and had huge hopes for and....it ****ing stinks. Like it smells of actual shite. Something is up with the plumbing and they've tried to cover it with bleach. Would love to give it another go when it doesn't smell like an actual arsehole but **** me
  7. Best part of AFCON is there are always about 3 or 4 French or Belgian coaches who look like mad scientists from Resident Evil or something. If we only made it so you could manage the country you're from we'd lose that, not for me Clive
  8. Too fun for my liking, I prefer my wingers just signed up to SAGA. Luckily our current manager thinks the same
  9. I'd argue its a combo of stuff outside of football as well as in football now to be honest, it's your classic bit of both with Germany and the Argies.
  10. Buzzing for Wycombe v York, can see why it got picked. Two historic clubs
  11. Me when 3pm Saturday rolls round and another afternoon of watching Steve Cooper's entertainers awaits
  12. Why does this sound like the start of a joke
  13. Cityzens / Citizens is the lamest nickname going, I'd rather not have one than have that
  14. Aha yeah man I watched it a few years back based on folk on here yapping about it, watched it and felt like shit for weeks
  15. SIGN ME UP
  16. Yeah he is ex Soton, Nick something! Aha I love the Carlton Tavern on the other side of Kilburn but be arsed walking down the High Road to the Black Lion, stunning as that goddam ceiling looks Will hold you personally responsible now if I don't have a 8/10 experience in the Magdala
  17. Ripsnorter of a little crawl eyed up for a week today with a trio of new gaffs for me Finally gonna try the Robin in Crouch Hill which is meant to be Susan Perb, then onto the Landseer Arms, then the Magdala off Hampstead Heath Will play a couple of the hits in Soton Arms and Tapping the Admiral n all
  18. Should've fined them more. I could forgive a spur of the moment rant, even the manager or player's going off in post-match interviews – but it was a Tweet ffs. Grow up.
  19. No it wasn't. I said it doesn't feel any more unsafe.
  20. I'd class it as the City Centre. That's fair enough brother, town just really doesn't feel any more dangerous from my POV than it did say a decade back, I wasn't arguing against statistics and I definitely wasn't insinuating it's paradise. I've seen plenty of the same issues in Leeds and I'd say exactly the same about up there too.
  21. Cultural Quarter, New Walk, Newarke Houses / the Castle, St Martins. A dodgy batch of smack isn't going to add to a ubiquitous, all-encompassing fear of danger to me, really? It just doesn't feel any unsafer to me, an average Joe going for a bev every now and then. I don't think it's a reason to avoid town altogether.
  22. Again not sure if it's the right thread but Guppy was the first player to win a trophy at both the old Wembley (League Cup, 2000) and the current stadium (FA Trophy, 2007) with us and Stevenage respectively. A lovely little stat that often gets attributed to John Terry
