  1. Or just one of the many coaches the club employs throughout the academy?
  2. Better crime novel writer than he is manager!
  3. Nobody will ever pay us actual real money for Wout Faes. He's here until his contract runs out unfortunately.
  4. Not even close to being true.
  5. Taking the next two weeks to find the perfect candidate still gives the new man a full two weeks of prep before the players are back for pre-season. No need to rush just yet, but they have probably already had ~2 weeks to draw up a list and sound out agents. Process should be well underway. ...if they're competent of course...
  6. Fully agree on Kasey. League 1-2 standard. …but KDH is definitely good enough for where we are now. He’s an average PL player, and we need as many of those as we can get! You say he was woeful in the PL, but he was much better than Wilf in the season we got relegated…and people are gagging for him to get a new contract!
  7. Getting a 5 year contract at Chelsea is like winning the football lottery so fair play to him. As others have said, failing there shouldn’t hurt his reputation too much. They should carry some momentum from last season so I think they’ll at least start well regardless of the manager. Will give him a little head start if that happens. I’ll still enjoy it if he struggles next year though, because, well, I’m a bitter football fan
  8. From bottom to top would be my preferred order. But yeah, I wouldn’t be too disappointed with any of them to be honest.
  9. Sunderland were better than us in both league games to be fair to them. Didn’t score a single goal against us and finished bottom half, but I was impressed with them!
  10. Hard to get a sense of who people actually want from this thread! Gonna be disappointment all round regardless isn't it
  11. Yep. I reckon we had a second eleven capable of making the play-offs.
  12. I quite like him, and wanted him to stay - Even when there was a real pile on towards the end of the season. Just calling fans entitled for having a different opinion is a bit silly...and you hardly have to read between the lines to see that he wasn't particularly happy here.
  13. Yes yes. He's been angling to leave since about January, yet fans are 'entitled' for being pretty indifferent or even quietly pleased that he's got his wish.
  14. Obviously you're right. ...but imagine it!
  15. Hmm, I get the sentiment - But I would also like the club to at least consider the fact we might be back in the Championship again next season. Proactive rather than reactive 'n all that. Doesn't mean we have to go into this season just resigned to finishing in the bottom 3.
  16. Yep. The players that have had good seasons will carry their confidence and momentum into the next. The manager is irrelevant in that regard. Loads of players have since said they were gutted when Pearson left before the 15/16 campaign. Yet the momentum clearly continued. People worry too much. We have more chance of survival without Enzo. He will not (or can not) adapt when it matters. Great PR team though.
  17. If the club is insistent on playing this style of football, they need to be turning down any interest in Mads. Even if the offers are big.
  18. If Enzo comes back for Faes, he will go down as one of our legends. Above MON, Pearson, everyone!
  19. We only have about four assets, so it can’t get that bad.
  20. Kasper was speaking about when the players reported back for first day of training before the 15/16 season the other day. Said the players were devastated and the place just felt strange after Pearson’s sacking. That season went terribly didn’t it…
  21. What a signing he was. Legend.
  22. Absolutely this. Regardless of what happens I really hope they already have a list and have put a few feelers out to agents. Got to be a fast turnaround.
  23. Fair. ...but the £40-50m we spent probably had an impact too.
