Interesting. So he’s not happy with Rudkin then. Either he’s been told he’s not getting a new deal (unlikely), or he’s not happy with what he’s been offered. Has to said that if it’s the latter and the club is tightening its wage structure - It could be a sign we’re learning from our mistakes…
-
His output has been decent in a mid-table team this season. Still doesn't look particularly fit post-injury either - Used to be a lot leaner and more athletic looking than he is now. There is potential there.
-
He got a ~£50m Summer transfer kitty as a Championship manager - Not sure what he's not happy about! Fair enough, he wasn't able to strengthen in January, but it's notoriously difficult for everyone to get players in during that window. He's had loads of backing and ultimately a successful season - He should be over the moon!
-
It's going to be another season of watching him at the back in the PL isn't it. Unbelievable.
-
Hoping for a good win. A win would put us 7th on the all-time second tier points list - We're already 4th. Nice to have two marks in the top 10.
-
Wow. Did not see that coming. They're likely to qualify for the CL aren't they? Tell them to cough up!

What Have You Enjoyed Most About This Season?

Winning and no VAR. -
Surely this is the first one through the door??
-
Add in a reconstruction of a DJ Campbell offside - Proper linesman and everything.
-
He's not a PL player anymore. I guess we might have no choice but to offer him an extension though.
-
Still think he’s been carried by the quality of the squad but I was never in the Enzo out brigade. He’s learning on the job. Next year will be the real test. The experience of this season plus a good Summer transfer window gives him a real chance to build something here. We need some luck recruitment wise though it feels like. Unearth some gems on the cheap who are hungry to succeed.
-
His; ‘I might not be’ reply to being asked if he’s going to be here next year… Sounds like he’s waiting/hoping to be offered a new deal. He’ll be here another year.

Leicester to appoint Martyn Glover as head of senior recruitment.

Really? Even when you consider the remaining book value and his (probably) high wage. I doubt it. I’ve been impressed when I’ve seen him, but he’ll be another we struggle to move on unless it’s loan deals. -
Love the Championship. Grew up watching us a lot in the old first division so still have a lot of nostalgia for it. It’s just a shame that being in it now equates to financial ruin if you’ve been relegated. You almost can’t seem to enjoy it for what it is when you have that hanging over you.
-
Borderline offensive isn’t it. Kante is above him in our midfield player rankings, but no one else!
-
The fact that one of Vardy’s first FaceTime calls after clinching promotion was to Dennis Wise… …it’s just put a dampener on everything hasn’t it.
-
Now does seem like a pretty fitting end? Will be a tough goodbye whenever it is!

Next Seasons Squad - Can we now talk about it?

The powers that be have a big job on their hands now. No idea what’s in store for us, but it’s never dull is it! -
Next Seasons Squad - Can we now talk about it?

I’m looking forward to discussing next season in the PL on here. What we need, who we need to get rid of etc. …but we can’t do it yet! We may yet need to win our remaining two games…which is far from guaranteed. -
I actually noticed this too. Very weird. Even if he’s literally only bothered about himself - Success on the pitch is a massive aspect of how he’s perceived so you’d think that would be priority #1.
-
So nice to watch the other team have ~70% possession and just pass it round passively with no energy or purpose wasn’t it. Whilst we were the ones hunting in packs winning the ball high up. I know you relinquish control doing that and can leave yourself exposed, but it’s just so much more entertaining, win or lose.
-
Moved onto 18 goal involvements - Same as Mavididi. Great to have a couple of dangerous wide players. It’s a shame so many teams have sat back against us this season as he really thrives in those expansive games doesn’t he…his output would be even better!
-
Have you not watched him enough for us to realise that the; ‘Yeah but he plays for Belgium’ argument is nonsense? I just don’t understand how anyone can think he’s anything but a liability. What have you been watching? You could absolutely tell that he was a joke in his very first game for us. Someone on here called me ‘mental’ for saying the same as above in the Summer, but I’m only going on what I’ve seen on the pitch.
-
No, that’s true. I’m probably still judging us through the lens of bottom half PL quality - Which is unfair given where we are now.
-
Yes. Millwall and Plymouth were pretty fortunate to beat us recently. We were lucky today. Swings and roundabouts. I still don’t think we’re particularly good though, but seeing as we’re top of the league again I better shut up!
