Nice one thanks for the advice - we haven’t sold our old place yet so I’ve got to factor someone talking me down on the asking price for mine into the offer for a new place.

Yeh explained to the agent that this is as far as we can stretch, and we wanted to put an offer in that we thought was reasonable given £25k off £650k isn’t unreasonable in todays market. They don’t need to know I can go higher, we’re going to sit it out as the agent naively came back and said could we pay a “little bit more” so presume they are probably happy but just want another £5-10k if they can. I’m a stubborn b@stard so I’ve just gone cold on them.

    Houses

Had an offer on a place rejected at £625k, £25k lower than asking. Not prepared at this stage to go any higher - in the area houses between £6-800k are taking a while to sell so I’m hoping the vendor will come back to us cap in hand at some point in the future - any tips? I’m a decent negotiator but not sure on how the poker face looks through an agent - face to face it’s easier. I don’t really want to start edging it up when the market isn’t frothy like in 2020/21.

After a recommended mortgage broker - my current one is a bit vanilla and I need a fresh pair of eyes. Can anyone recommend?
  8. Recording firework displays has to be up there with numbskull behaviour
  9. Reading through most of the threads on this forum makes me feel exactly the same.
  10. Nothing as that's Susan Whelans salary for starters
  11. Laughed off the forum earlier in the season when I said Leeds have the best squad in the league - here they are about to knock us off the top spot next weekend

    Pizza

I know shop bought pizzas are a disgrace but tried one of those Crostica Mollica ones, they are really good for shop bought - about £6. Tried stuff from their range of other stuff and its all top notch. https://www.crostamollica.com/products/pizza
  16. Because I know any CEO who is worth their salt gets under the skin of everything in the business they operate in, especially large transactions which in our case historically have been a handful a year.
  17. Good grief this is painful. Anyone who is suggesting Susan Whelan isn't hands on, or doesnt make decisions, or doesnt know about players etc etc is just plain wrong. She is the CEO an in charge of every single aspect of the club, employed by the shareholders (in this case Top and his family) to run the show. She is ultimately responsible for the suceess and it's at the discretion and opinion of the shareholders whether she has been succesful and to continue in her role, not us or anyone else.
  18. That’s not what sensationalising means mate - I am suggesting there is a chance Susan Whelan may get some further remuneration for her activities elsewhere not solely for her work at LCFC - which is quite feasible.
  19. Just to pick up on one sentence that you sensationalise. Susan Whelan earnt £327K last year as the highest paid director, which for a c£200m+ operation is below market rate - I supect she will be topped up elsewhere. Given she is the CEO there will be a decent gap between her and Rudkin. Let's say he's on £200K - most people will earn that in less than 10 years based on ave average salary of £30K - I know you think Rudkin is the equivalent of Putin but half the issue with your posts is you sensationalise them for a reaction and idiots like me feel the neeed to correct you.
  20. Because 90% of the people on the forum don’t understand how the hierarchy of a business operates.
  21. No my argument is they don’t have to reside there. It’s bonkers to suggest so - as other posters have been pointing out it’s been going on for ages - if you are going to beat the ownership with a stick at least come up with a good argument. The club does and has done plenty in the city - Vichai donated a million quid to the children’s unit at the LRI for starters. They have LCFC in the community and the women’s side uses belvoir drive and is in the WSL.
  22. How do you plonk a world class state of the art facility of that size in the city centre, and why? The clubs missed a trick, they should have got you on the advisory board when they decided to make plans for a new training complex. What about all the local jobs generated from the new facility within Leicestershire? Or have we just forgotten about that.
  23. What on earth has it got to do with anyone where the players live? I’d like to see some stats of who was living in Leicester city centre - if I was earning £50k a week I’d be nowhere near it - who can blame them. On another point - which other owners up and down the league(s) live in the same place as the club they own - possibly Delia at Norwich?! Do you think the Glazers are in a 2 up 2 down in Moss side? It’s absolutely irrelevant if they live on Granby St or in Berkshire/London. ”I’m a billionaire I’ll see if there’s anywhere in Glenfield while I’m over here”
  24. Rudkin has absolutely everything to lose and nothing to gain from doing an interview with a journalist.
