  1. Impressive stats!
  2. Equally getting triggered by Christmas adverts, i.e M&S. Even more sickiening was their pathetic apology - the whole thing is just a dreadful part of the world we live in these days.
  3. Certain parts of Ibiza are stunning - just avoid the party areas as you're way too old for that. Easter is end of March next year so the weather might be a bit sus, but you might get it just right. Lots to do and see, watersports, Old Town is a nice jaunt.
  4. I'd agree with that - more so than qualifications in todays world. Depending on the sector, I think its crucial in 2023 to be aware and in touch with technology, AI in particular will be huge before the end of the decade - be a strong communicator - both with people in the lowest skill roles right up to board level and treat all with the same level of respect, you then will be respected. Good luck finding a new role - there are a lot of cr*p people out there, so I don't think you will have much of an issue, prep for interview well. Are you looking in the midlands area? I work in Aerospace so if that's something that interests you let me know, we employ 300 people locally and always after talented people.

No chance, not a sensible investment with rates being high

No doubt its expensive - but if it was impossible noone would do it, same with everything in life. Try and have a positive outlook

No, just see it potentially as a better way of getting more for your buck if you can find land at a decent price.
  9. To be fair the market has been cr*p for the past 6 months, if you have a pension or a S&S ISA you will note little growth or losses, its about riding it out long term - lots of market data to suggest this is the case. Placing anything in a building society long term is pointless, and any interest you earn will be eaten up by inflation - even more so if you are a tax payer at 40/45% as your tax free allowance is heavily restricted. Have a look at Vanguard as a platform, I use that for any ''longer term'' investments and so far so good. a 0.3% loss isn't bad, could be a lot worse at the min!
  10. Embraer are great, air france and KLM operate quite a few. Flew to Paris on one and it felt like you were in a mini space shuttle. Agreed really smooth and perfect for very short haul flights.
  11. I think thats a bit wide of the mark, everyone is still driving around in red toyota crown comforts over there - I saw the odd tesla and thats about it.

Where is the best place to look for plots for self builds, anyone with this kind of experience on here? Do you need to get an agent to do it for you?
  13. Thanks - sandwiches the following day seem the best option!
  14. Her best work was horrible bosses - absolutely FAF. Anyone who doesn’t want to play snakes and ladders with Jennifer Anniston is a liar
  15. Wait a few years until you can charge out of lamposts etc
  16. What do people do with left over roast pork? I usually buy a joint that’s way too big because I’m a greedy **** and just end up giving the rest to the dog or bin it - what should I do with the cold pork.
  17. Yorkshire Gold tea is elite, nothing touches it.

When was this, 2007? If it's that price now they'd be queuing round the block!
  19. One of my good mates is a Plumber and fits boilers, bathrooms, the lot. PM me if interested, he's based in Hinckley. https://lavoroheating.co.uk/about/
  20. I've only met about 2 or 3 competent HR professionals in my entire working life.
  21. Were you out of tune?
  22. That’s a superpower
  23. I think the “man up” phrase is dead and buried, certainly in my circles - unless you have been living under a rock for the past 10 years you will know saying stuff like this is just blind stupid. You don’t have to have suffered from problems yourself to have empathy towards those that have.
  24. I need an alarm to wake up, no I can’t just wake up. Not sure if you are a parent or a parent where kids have shit sleep patterns but mine can wake up for four hours at a time sometimes, so the alarm is there to wake me up again
