Saw something similar on Twitter and given it's the international break, it's a good time to reflect on the first part of the season. Best New Signing Winks Favourite Game Norwich (a) Most improved player Vestergaard Most disappointing player Casadei Player you want in Jan Jack Clarke Weakest position LCB Predicted finish 1st King Power gripe Not being allowed to take in a bottle of water if it's been opened - ridiculous What's everyone elses thoughts?
-
Agree - I'm not a golfer, but I know plenty that are. It's great to watch and a craft that takes years to get half decent at. Mentally demanding too.
-
I'm guessing some people value something greater like sitting in traffic for a long period of time as a good trade off for leaving 5 mins early.
-
I'm sure there is a ''I'm a better fan than you'' culture at most clubs and it boils down to whether you sing, stand up, dont use a clapper, dont use a flask, sing or don't sing WYS loud enough *takes breath* make sure you hate the fan cam, goal music, stewarding, price of pints, volume of the music pre match, volume of the music post match, season ticket cards and now whether you leave early or not. Why can't people just show up to the match, enjoy it how they want and go home? Why is everyone bothered about what everyone else is doing, can't get my head around it. Must be pretty stressful worrying about all this stuff

777 Heavy is an interesting doc on Amazon Prime on how they strip back the 777 (in this doc it's an Air France) and refurb and put it back together again, takes 5 weeks. Enjoyed it.

Don't think he will get the opportunity, Tories have left a gaping open goal and all Labour need to do is score a tap in, I just don't think he's got it in him to get it over the line.
-
Don't think anything major will happen, just a hunch.

They won't work for you but 99% of the population don't do 600 miles per day, so for the vast majority they can work - I can see your personal gripes but they are a great solution for quite a chunk of the population, and affordable especially through a company car scheme with the generous BIK rate.

Kneeslide in front of the dugout with his ears cupped is nailed on surely for JV
-
Most of it is a load of guff though.

Why do stewards make so many peoples piss boil? I think 95% of match going fans have never had an interaction with one, I cant remember the last time I even interacted with a steward for any reason at all. Genuine question

I understand the need for leadership - my point originally was in hindsight given how well Vestergaard has played did we need Coady or could we have invested the money elsewhere. £11m for off the field leadership is a luxury for a premier league team nevermind a championship side. Maybe we can afford it, it was a curious point of view not a criticism on Coadys ability.
-
Probably, my original point was we paid £8.5m plus at least £50K a week, so over £11m this season - in hindsight, we are all surprised how good Vestergaard has been and had we known that, I think the club might not of shelled out this much. At the time, he was our saviour because we weren't sure what our defence would be like this season. He is a luxury that we can just about afford if we go up at the first time of asking.

Sounds a bit like Henderson’s role for England

Has anyone been to Winstanley house? Booked it for a work meeting as one of the only places open on a monday. Menu looks ok.

Bit ageist - I find the retired age (at times) to be the most provocative - look at those old boys at the weekend in the stoke end abusing that 10 year old lad!
-
We've got the squad luxury not to worry about it, and is a way of some players getting a game break anyway. Win win

Don't disagree with either, I appreciate he wont play every game. I'm just not sure had the club realised how much of a revival Vestergaard was ging to have, would have spuffed £8.5m on Coady on however much a week. They may of opted for someone cheaper as back up. I personally think Coady will be useful this season but not as pivotal as we all thought when he signed in July.
