The Mclintock season was worse than pretty bad. Pretty sure we signed Roger Davies for a club record 300k from Brugge and he was terrible. But I agree with the last bit. At least back then they were hopeless and badly managed but did at least try. Considering how the game has changed and just how much these players get played I think this season and especially the last half dozen league games are the absolute pits for levels of performance, competitiveness and frankly effort. There were clearly players on that pitch yesterday who don't want to be at the club and were not trying.

Right now it doesn't matter who we get as nothing will change whilst the current set of players are in situ. I didn't think this until a few games ago but it is clear to me they have mostly given up are not playing for the manager or the club with real heart whoever is in charge. I don't have any names but whoever comes in next needs to realise that what they will be in is a long term project, not just a rapid promotion with the same group of players who won't be good enough next time either. The manager needs to be involved in all aspects of the football. We need a complete overhaul of the playing side from youth to first team. Moving forwards it is obvious we need to develop our own talent quicker and more frequently than we currently do. Young players need a clear pathway either to the first team or out on loan. Something we seem to fail to do consistently. We need a manager who instills a sense of identity into the way we play. neither Cooper and certainly not RVN have or had that. But all this is irrelevant whilst we have a useless DOF and a recruitment team that doesn't seem to be able to come up with the right players. Unfortunately this all needs a key ingredient missing in modern football, patience. I want us to be a club where young hungry players come because they know they can develop their game and a mix of seasoned pros who actually want to be here rather than those clearly just taking a last pay day. We're so far away from any of this right now that i think it will take at least 5 seasons to start to turn things round in a positive way. The owner needs to grasp this or sell.

Not even that good.

Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!

If he never played for us again I wouldn't be bothered. One of our worst ever signings. -

This really is correct. The issues are very deep in the whole set up. -
Huffed and puffed a bit better in the second half but the manger is clueless and the players look to have basically given up. Most are simply not of the required standard. Rudkin needs to be sacked along with the recruitment team. A completely fresh start in the Championship is required with new owners a different manager and an almost completely new set of players. I don't see the point in playing some of the current squad they are not good enough and not interested. Not even trying in my opinion. The club is a total shambles in all aspects.

Has to go. Really not having a manger at all couldn't be any worse. -
To be fair it is raining quite hard so probably don't want to get wet walking to the car.
-
Agree. Really not sure where Ndidi is playing. Basically he and Soumare fell over each other leading to one of the goals.
-
I just want to see us come out with some fight and spirit and bloody effort. That would at least be something positive. Looks to me like the players have given up.
-
Defence is bad but there just no midfield. I forget which goal it was but literally two passes from Brentford bypassed our entire midfield.
-
To be honest I don't think I've seen a more apathetic performance since we were 5-0 down at half-time to Bolton under Peter Taylor. There's just nothing. No skill, no effort, no hope. I'd rather we just played some youngsters for the rest of the season and tell every single one of these players they can look for a new club. The manager should be sacked at half time. I'm afraid to say he's utterly useless.
-
Don't do it justice I'm afraid.
-
There are simply no words in the English language that can describe how bad this is.
-
It isn't about making excuses it is about expecting an official to enforce the rules of the game. Yes united probably would have won in extra time but it doesn't take away from the fact that that was one of the worst decisions I've seen at this level for some time. One of the clearest offsides you could ever see and it wasn't given.

Absolutely the key to the whole thing for me. That defeat completely changed the mentality of the club and installed the determination for that not to happen again resulting in promotion and history. The end started on Boxing Day 2019. We were second playing great stuff and got stuffed by Liverpool. We were never the same after that. Always played within ourselves, the expansive attacking football was basically just binned.

As Don King once said; "You go for the quality of the performance not the longevity of it."

Ashley Chambers played for us in the League Cup (possibly) at the age of 15 a few years back now.
-
A complete and abject failure by the club.
-
No appears to be the answer. The new transfer policy seems to be an attempt to see if we can swap players with other clubs. laughing stock frankly. Deserve to be relegated and to no come back to the Premier League for many years.

Another manager seriously let down by a recruitment team who are hopeless and a DOF who should have been sacked years ago. Rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat. -
What a pathetic club we have become. This is almost as bad as players playing for us for free. We can't even get rid of players in a swap!

Glover is totally useless. He has to be sacked after today. -
I think this is it really. The remit is too much for him. like you I don't think he's going anywhere fast. We need a full root and branch restructure of the club. Unfortunately we have Top who is a bit like one those absent landlords who don't appear to really know what is going on.
