  1. Fletch and Coisty will be doing at least 10 games.
  2. Below us only Blackburn, Oxford and Sheffield Wednesday.
  3. Imagine a scenario where a club has spent 10 of the previous 12 years in the top division, in the other two winning the lower division, and are then struggling to convince managers to join three weeks after a change. For there to be serious talk of a return of a manager who left a decade ago (not a criticism of Nige, a fine man and hugely important manager in our recent history). We are a good club held back by inadequate characters in key positions.
  4. It is barely even an apology. "I am sorry you didn't like what I said because I made good points" basically covers it.
  5. Maharaj was a real coup, such a shame.
  6. We never prepare for a scenario where a manager might fail or not fit in.
  7. I think this has been collectively the worst quality of football but that period was not much better. Plenty of complaining about the effort of the players in that era. Got to remember we finished well below the likes of Colchester, Luton and Plymouth so, even though we had financial issues, we still performed extremely poorly.
  8. 25,827. I would say around 16k actually there. Even if you count all STHs in that 25k, add in 700 away fans, that leaves around 2k paying for an individual match ticket.
  9. If you are an available manager, why would you accept a three month deal when we are still well within the length of the original contract given to the first of the three managers we have recently sacked, all of whom seemed to get the lot paid up? Surely you would demand for similar?
  10. We have not been this shit for the vast majority of yours or anyone else's supporting years. This will be the fifth bottom half finish in the second division in 35 years. This is not the norm.
  11. An appalling display, probably top of a growing list.
  12. I have no idea how anyone can look around the ground, at the empty seats, the complete lack of buzz in anticipation, the diminishing returns on the pitch and think it is acceptable because it was like this for a few years two decades ago. They have no pride in the club, clearly. Don't want the ground to be full and involved in big matches. Terrible mentality.
  13. There was a lot of anger last night. Of course the freaks who applaud were there but very much in the minority.
  14. Think we will finish 23rd.
  15. Ball over his head leads to a goal. Pointless shove in the back leads to a goal.
  16. They will start the side who finished the game last night. God knows who we will choose.
  17. Made some odd changes but our fitness issue is huge. We put so much into the first half that the second was probably too much for them. Ayew coming on just drained the crowd. He was a one game coach at best. Even a win last night wouldn't change it.
  18. An incredible night where we saw the best and worst of us. A first half full of commitment, desire and quality followed by the complete opposite. The crucial part was how long we could keep it at 3-1, as soon as the second went in we were done and it was a matter of when. All.the encouraging signs ruined by a spectacular collapse. Even more convinced we are heading for relegation.
  19. Genuinely depressing. It is only a game and not worth this.
  20. Man City at home in 2004?
  21. The corporate popularity of the game has always been exaggerated. People may want a premium experience for high profile, high demand games or at huge clubs but, for the majority, it is not that enticing. Fans routinely get told to know their place and the standing within the game yet many clubs suffer from delusions of grandeur.
  22. We are unwatchable. We have had poor but reasonably entertaining teams previously- Micky Adams' Premier League side, for instance- but the last 18 months has been dire. Our attacking statistics have been disgraceful.
  23. Still have Covid to contend with, don't forget that.
  24. You saw when May called an early election and lost her majority then required a coalition. If you are struggling in the polls, you aren't handing it over a long while before it is necessary.
