  1. Still only 28! Hope he goes back to them tbf. I've not got a bad word about him.
  2. Hasn't worked out for Lyon.
  3. People bringing up his stats say that no top club would be interested in him so this can't be right.
  4. They are released tomorrow?
  5. I still get excited for fixtures to be released regardless of our position. Seems to have come round fast. Pathetic we have to wait until 12, mind.
  6. I wouldn't even guess. Maybe Mousinho and Heckingbottom are the longest servers (outside of the relegated and promoted teams).
  7. His Burnley teams did go on bad runs and, as we all know, eventually relegated. He must have learnt and changed though because he got promoted again but the following time actually kept them up. I don't want Dyche but people seem to discredit what he's done. He probably is flexible, probably more than we all know, considering he kept Burnley up for a long period. He seems to be labelled with stereotypes which aren't probably true. Also not to forget he was involved in their new training ground and apparently tailored the transfer budget around that (the club's future). That's a real positive.
  8. Clubs in much worse situations than us have been bought before. You only have to look at the mess Birmingham were in. I would imagine any buyer would see we have potential.
  9. Every team does it but it's on different levels. "Food chain" is a good way of describing it. Your original post said about us losing Maddison, yet we took him from Norwich. Just like we took Justin from Luton. It's only really Real Madrid and Barcelona that are in a position to not have their players poached because every player wants to play for those two clubs and no other club is bigger than them.
  10. So many people moan about us just signing players for "experience" then in this thread say how his experience could be helpful. He's 38 ffs. Don't want him.
  11. The issue is I don't see him as a long term option. I think he would get us promoted but then the issue is we're in the same situation as the season just gone. He's a better manager than Van Nistelrooy though.
  12. You probably are but at the same time I feel people are over selling him here. He kept Wednesday up superbly when he joined, in was the worse start to a Championship season, but his first full season has just finished with Wednesday in 12th. He is fighting a lot of off field issues but it's not the first time a manager has had issues. There are more than Wednesday who are run badly. Personally I think it's a risk with Rohl only having one full season behind him and I think that's why he is linked with a lot of clubs but never seems to end up with the job.
  13. Dyche and Coady together on the radio then
  14. And not scoring don't forget.
  15. Only do our fanbase let shit managers off with "he wasn't backed" or "set up to fail". Van Nistelrooy took over our team and made it worse. We went 9 games without even scoring ffs, that's a sackable offence in itself. At any other top flight club there would have probably been protests about the manager. I don't feel sorry for him. He sat an interview before taking the job. He wasn't "thrown in at the deep end" or whatever people also say.
  16. It's actually looking like a decent division. Must be years ago we played both Wednesday and United in the same season. Some interesting derbies to look out for too as a neutral. First league meeting between Southampton and Portsmouth in how many years!?
  17. Hope so. Playing Good Friday then Easter Monday is such a pain too when you're back in the football league.

    Air con though surely?
  19. I wouldn't want him anyway.
  20. Ah cheers, makes sense. I had Fulham in my head so knew there was some significance. The Palace game I do remember was in lockdown and I recall him getting some sort of trophy for the goal. Weird how little things are remembered.
  21. Dunno man. They are a historic club, no doubt about it, but haven't been top flight since 2000 and spent a good chunk of that time in the third division.
  22. I think his 100th was Fulham? I'm sure it was one of Rodgers' early games.
  23. Surely nobody will pay £40m for him. Never know though these days.
  24. Nobody knows. He will always get linked with Championship jobs though.
