  1. Stick him up top. He's so good at holding the ball up and diving for free kicks. Opposition defenders won't be able to get the ball.
  2. He plays the type of football we seem to go for. He's free. He's definitely going to be on our radar. Considering we appointed Van Nistelrooy on the back of four games in this country, two of which were against us, I don't think we really aim for a "calibre".
  3. Yeah, I just said in the other thread, he did well getting them out of a relegation battle. Pretty sure he made the play offs that same year. But since then they have never pushed on and always been inconsistent.
  4. He did well getting them out of a relegation battle but never pushed on. They were always that one team you expected more from.
  5. I think and hope Chesterfield will be in for another good season.
  6. Liam Manning doesn't hang around.
  7. Less than a decade ago we won the top flight and FA Cup, we are still a great proposition regardless of manager.
  8. Lets be honest, we were bound to sell out regardless of the ownership. For those that turned their backs you've got plenty of people wanting a season ticket for the very first time. Good to see Junior numbers boosted.
  9. Wednesday have such a big and passionate fan base, you would think they would protest far more than they actually do.
  10. Similar to the current one but the 90's / early 00's version. Probably a nostalgia thing but just remember growing up.
  11. And that's when we will get him!
  12. Liam Rosenior. Who the hell is voting for Van Nistelrooy. Don't people like scoring goals?
  13. Lampard isn't a bad manager. Especially at Championship level he seems to know what he's doing. He shouldn't be named alongside the likes of Rooney. He's a better manager than Van Nistelrooy as well.
  14. Yeah true. Something needs to happen though but like you said there are part time clubs still.
  15. I said about it ages ago. Should happen now. The national league could even become part of the football league. It's a strong league now and doesn't make sense to have only 1 automatic promotion place.
  16. We won the FA Cup and Community Shield, and finished top 6 for two consecutive seasons, after he had died. People always go back to the helicopter crash but our main problem is Rudkin being DOF and Vichai gave him this role in the first place.
  17. Wolves going down at last.
  18. Something should happen. Winning the only top flight title in the club's history should be celebrated for a 10 year anniversary. Not everything has to be so gloomy. Celebrating something in history doesn't mean we can't also look forward, you only have to see people post memories this past week of their trips to Wembley for the play off finals. However, game by game, somethings need to change. The montage for example, and everyone stood clapping it, needs to be changed. Have a montage yes, other clubs do, but don't solely focus on one season. Keep the other montage that runs through the clubs history and add some parts to that.
  19. Jonny Evans retiring. Having won it all too. His time here ended terribly, especially considering he was captain, but he is probably the most complete defender I’ve seen here. Shame we bought him so late in his career.
  20. Cba with highlights, the thing that I will remember this season for is going so many consecutive games without scoring a single goal. The appointment of Van Nistelrooy destroyed any hope I had in us staying up.
  21. I've liked watching PSG but the nostalgia inside me just wants Inter to win it. I like seeing both Milan sides to well in Europe.
  22. I assume he wants to be manager still otherwise he would have resigned by now? Especially with all this silence going on.
  23. You missed out. It was that good I walked home and got in while the late second half stages were still happening. Can't wait to play them in the league
  24. Always love this week every year where we roll out pictures of Walsh and Claridge. Even the other two play off finals we don't talk about were this week in history. Must have been great in the 90s going to Wembley all the time.
