  1. This is why I think Vardy may get his chance at some point. Against the better sides we'll need to offer more of a goalscoring threat than Kane. If Alli, Sterling and Lingard don't start scoring, Vardy, Rashford and Loftus-Cheek will be making more of an appearance.
  2. There were numerous stories this morning that Ramos tried desperately to persuade the head of the Spanish FA to not sack Lopetegui - but he wasn't able to twist his arm. Thank you very much.
  3. Fascinating. I've always thought that France '98 was a massive missed opportunity - we had such a good combination of steel and flair in that team. Really interesting to read about Hoddle's managerial idiosyncracies.
  4. According to...?
  5. Nice use of the word 'heinous'!
  6. In getting this tattoo, Sterling has blatantly disregarded the very important responsibility he has to raise my one-year-old son for me. I'm very upset and disappointed. Apparently Argos is already reporting a massive spike in young boys turning up at its stores asking if they sell high-powered assault rifles. Do these so-called footballers ever think before they act?
  7. In rare instances they can, but only if the player is willing to ruin his reputation by going on strike, which most aren't. I strongly suspect that Maguire isn't the kind of player to do that. As others have stated, the only way he will leave is if somebody comes in with a ludicrous offer.
  8. Irrespective of what we want, if we don't hear to the contrary very soon it will be Puel.
  9. They should close the dressing room for good and turn it into a museum. A portakabin in the car park will do for the players from now on. The patch of turf from which Vardy hit that wonder goal against Liverpool should be enclosed by a small fence - games can be played around it.
  10. Technically, you've waited 53 years to say it - the last time we beat Arsenal 3-1 was in 1965. Unless of course you're 24-years-old and meant that you have been waiting to for Leicester to beat Arsenal 3-1 since the day you were born. In which case I'm very impressed
  11. If we have any ambition whatsoever, this would not be regarded as sufficient reason to employ a new manager.
  12. Are you actually serious?
  13. Giving Puel the money to revamp the squad this summer then sacking him six games into next season, leaving a new manager with a squad of players he didn't choose, would be an even bigger risk to our future.
  14. Never in a million years.
  15. It is clear that the club is planning a major overhaul of the playing staff this summer. Whoever is in charge will have the opportunity to shape the team in the way he wants. The question is whether Puel has done enough to show that he can be trusted with that task. Keeping him and replacing him are both risks - do we stick or twist? Personally I think we should twist, but it's not my decision...
  16. Rob Dorsett‏ @RobDorsettSky FollowFollow @RobDorsettSky Riyad Mahrez tells me he has withdrawn the transfer request he made in January, but he is still not sure whether he will be an #lcfc player next season. See more on #ssn
  17. Without question he's a legend. We would not have won the title without him. An astonishing player.
  18. Has there ever been an instance of our owners briefing that a manager 'might' be sacked before they make the call? The truth is that nobody knows anything until Vichai makes a decision and calls either Rudkin or Whelan to implement it. All other talk, whether implying that he's getting sacked or staying, is basically just guesswork.
  19. Recently his every utterance has been that of a man who has completely lost his way and is out-of-touch with his players and staff. He just cuts a remote figure - one who doesn't understand why things aren't going well on the pitch, or how to fix it. He has the classic air of a manager who is close to being sacked.
  20. I know. I just thought the parallels with his position exactly a year ago were interesting.

  22. Sousa - 2 Sven - 4 Pearson - 7 Ranieri - 9 Shakey - 3 Puel - 3
  23. I wasn't talking about Puel.
  24. I want him out already. Done nothing.
