  1. Fair play if we've managed to sign Mbuemo on the sly and stick him in an Ayew shirt.
  2. Has anyone asked, what if we beat Ipswich tomorrow?
  3. Spurs remind me so much of us when we went down. Some decent players but absolutely no backbone and cant keep goals out of their net. I dont think any fixture is a gimme for them in this state
  4. Going from Top to Mike Ashley would be going from a death row to multiple years of solitary confinement. You're not going to die, but god it'll be boring. It's a slight upgrade, but I'd like to think there are slightly better options out there
  5. No reason that wouldn't happen now if 3rd and 4th know they're safe. It generally backfires though as you can lose momentum and the winning habit. It's tough to turn that back on.
  6. Yeah I like that, that's how they do it the lower levels of non league. Highest placed team gets home advantage.
  7. Big fan of the play offs myself. Like the idea to add more as well. Nothing worst than the last games of the season being dead because there's nothing to play for. Automatics for top 2 is fine.
  8. If he leaves it'll be on a free. Not a chance there's someone that's going to match his wages and pay a fee. He'll be better off staying on whatever he's on here and going somewhere on a free.
  9. I've never seen a winger so reluctant to be a winger. You'd think he weighed 25 stone and had 2 left feet with how little he backs himself to just get at this man and try and beat him.
  10. The squad's screaming out for another ageing, overrated player with a poor attitude.
  11. I'm sure his recruitment agency would find a lovely failed DoF from Southampton or Sunderland.
  12. Yeah I don't disagree, I'm trying to keep an open mind on him as he's certainly the appointment to feel most optimistic about. I feel like the way CFG run that it's almost hard to fail in your job as the processes and tasks will be so clear and ingrained. It'll certainly be an interesting change for him coming into a club where he's not got anyone to tell him what to do and has been ran like a Sunday league club for the past 5 years. Hopefully he can take what he's learned and use that to create a solid foundation for us on the footballing side. In theory it should be a completely blank canvas for him. Let's hope Rudkin let's him crack on and just spends his days snoozing and watching at the races.
  13. The video of Mcarron explaining how his team should have had 6 wins instead of the 4 they had doesn't fill me with confidence. Seems like he had a remit of taking CFG's policy and implementing that at Lommel. So aside from having a fairly limited task he's not really done much. Underwhelmed at this and my instinct is that he'll try to force through absolutely turgid Russell Martin style football. The one positive is that his experience has been in youth development and we really do need someone who can tap into the youth market and bring through fairly cheap players that we can develop and sell on. So, I suppose I'm not too optimistic but can definitely see potential for optimism The wolves fella sounds like more of the same. Deal with random asian companies and trying to replace the legacy fans with day trippers. Good luck in league one with that. Then a couple of promotions for people who have been in position at the club during a massive period of under performance.
  14. I imagine he's referring to the fact that talented employees don't tend to stick around for very long.
  15. Can't disagree with too much of that. But I think given the limited options I understand him setting up this way. I'm still optimistic he can find a way out of this for us, hopefully yesterday is an eye opener and he has a plan to fix us.
  16. Well to me the Stoke and Middlebrough performances were a lot different to the Norwich one and the set up was the same for them. What would your team/formation be that's sound defensively and also creates chances? Genuinely intrigued to know this magical formula that has eluded everyone else.
  17. Given Rowett's post match interview it didn't seem like the idea was to play that way, from the look on his face at times and his presser, it sounded like they went into their shell and default mode. Like you say, yesterday felt like what we've seen all season. Stoke and Middlesbrough certainly felt like a positive step forward though. Hopefully it's an eye opener and he manages to implement some change. Stoke aside. Middlesbrough and Ipswich away and a very good Norwich at home is a tough start. Once again, we took an age to bring in someone who was available. Wasted the fixtures that were good opportunities and threw him in when the tough fixtures rolled in. We need to see consistent meaningful change in the approach. Ipswich is somewhat of a gimme, a point would be good. But he's got 2 more full weeks now to get a new mindset stamped on the players for what on paper is a relatively favourable run of games. Slim pickings though if he can't get the currently fit players to look like they give a damn on a regular basis.
  18. Yeah people from Tamworth are definitely as odd as us Coalville types
  19. Same silly accent to be fair
  20. Just listened to Rowetts post match interview, I think its dawned on him today why we are where we are haha No problems with his comments, hes now got an opportunity to address the issues hes seen.
  21. Mans earned more money from KP than he could have dreamed of. I cant imagine he would see much wrong in them haha
  22. Didn't realise they were on quite such a good run! Looking at the stats of the 2 losses as well youd argue they were unfortunate in both of those as well. Ill downgrade my 3-0 prediction to a 3-1
  23. Top has taken a comfortable top 8 Premier league club with lots of young high value players onto the brink of league one ans massive financial issues in about 6 years. Best of luck to anyone that thinks they can do a worse job than that.
  24. Domination incoming!
