Far too much money being paid to players, even filtering down to non league level. VAR has been applied appallingly in the main. Extremely limited players trying to play like prime Barca, realising they can't and most first halfs turning into a procession of pass x 20 launch ball to other teams defence. Watch other team do the same, rinse and repeat. As a neutral it's a chore to watch and I've found myself watching far fewer games. I still love the game, I wouldn't be posting on here if I didn't. I guess it's always that hope of seeing a classic match between two teams trying to score goals rather than register the most passes. I take small pleasures watching the awful style of football result in ridiculous goals where a striker is played in by a defender. You'll see it 10-20 times a week if you watch the highlights of league and national league games. It's not in a great state atm, but there's always the hope of change. Coming up to the best part of the season now. Huge one off matches where teams are fighting to stay in leagues, play offs, promotion and titles. These are the times that keep you hooked.

I'd still criticise signing Bamford, him and DCL seem to about as good technique as Daka. I genuinely don't know how they score more than 2 a season haha. McBurnie is a loveable striker though. Absolute grafter and pain for defenders. Can score with his head and feet.

£35k a week. I expect we're paying Richards 7-10k a week as well. He must be on 15-20k a week at Chelsea. That 40-45k a week for 17 weeks. In the region of £750k for those 2

Ive not actually seen it say its ticket only. I think someone confused "tickets are for sale" and started telling people it qas ticket only and it seemed to spread. Its basically a leisure centre though so probably not a bad idea to buy in advance

He's leant into their laziness too much there. Should have said come and knock on my door and convince me you want to play.

If Top *did* sell - who do you think might buy the club?
filbertway replied to Stadt's topic in Leicester City Forum
Just read on article on that Storey fella. Seems like he pretends he's interested in buying clubs, I assume for the social media clout as he likes to mention it publicly as often as possible. But he never actually follows through. The sources at Sunderland, Reading and Coventry all seemed to think he was a bit of a joke -

I vaguely recall Vestergaard proudly saying he was staying to help the club return to the Prem. Nothing to do with the fact there's no way he'd get a better wage by moving on

Yes. Lob in the context of a lot of Marti's points being won despite the performance, thanks to outrageous stuff from Fatawu and James. Fatawu's missed some very simple chances in the past few months and James has been injured the majority of it. Edited to say, that I don't entirely blame Marti. He came in late and we have what you would describe as "luxury" players. (More the not hardworking part rather than extremely talented on the ball though ) Ideally you' have maybe 1,2 maybe 3 if you're big favourites. The vast majority of our squad is comprised of these players that can't even put in a shift. We have very little physicality or players known for busying a gut. Most squads start with hard work and trying to outrun the opposition. I think stats back up that our team has been outran by pretty much everyone. I think we've got "capable" players, but we've filled the squad with very similar players. Which is why on paper, outsiders are surprised to see us where we are. It's an absolute must that we prioritise strong, determined and hard working players. Especially in defence and CM. These are the players that allow you to build a solid foundation and not let games run away from you week in week out. I think the past few years really sum up the importance of this part of the game. Enter Russell Martin, signing 8 players who can pass 5 yards all day but could get out of a wet paper bag

Damn, beat me to it

How mental was that, he must have only been on the pitch for 15-20 mins at that point as well He's up there with Ayew on players I can't stand. At least Winks looks like he's alive on the pitch.
-
Any anger is wasted on the players, most will be leaving and they're a symptom. Anger should be directed at the people that are actually responsible for the fall of this football club over the past 5 years (6-7 years if you account for the poor decisions that set the wheels in motion)

I will say to Winks credit, fair play for not hiding last night. The guy's got some stones on him. Far cry from Chilly being scared to take a throw in at Millwall

I'd love to see the stats for points we've lost when Jordan James has been subbed off this season. Feels like we've removed our best player so many times this season and then gone on to lose the rest of the game and drop points -
It's genuinely impressive how often he lands on the wrong side.

Steve Bould worked for him at Lommell as well, currently QPR assistant.

Pretty sure he'd still have to agree to stay with us. The option would just be a pre-agreed fee with the selling club that we get dibs on. I feel pretty confident we shan't be seeing him in a Leicester shirt again. There's only situation I could see that happening in. We tell Jordan that we'll buy him and sell him to another club if they come in with an offer of £10m. Rudkin messes the deal up and the poor lad ends up stuck with us. -
Haha that was my initial thought when I saw the pic, Rowett's definitely getting canned on Tuesday night. Probably shoot back after, I'm sure there'll be a party on somewhere for him to go to.
-
I don't really understand what he's done to be a Sporting Director. I feel like we've hired him because he worked for City Group Almost all of his jobs have been in sports science/performance. His only role as SD was Lommell who made no real progress in his three years there. Then back to director of player development afterwards which sounds eerily similar to what Rudkin was doing before becoming DoF for us.

Leicester City: 'Out of your mind to think' of Foxes in League One, says Jordan James - BBC Sport I do wonder how often he thinks about that interview -
Nobody needs or wants it. If used correctly its an excellent source of income in future. If king power csn afford it then we need to keep developing class youth players
-
Tbf to the guy today, he seemed like he was genuinely trying his best. Its league one on big money thanks to Enzo or Danish prem. Similar levels but he'll earn more with us

Pompey 1-0 LCFC, post-match thread

My favourite thing was seeing Bobby Reid marking colby bishop on the first corner Dno if that changed after but that was genius, if we have a set piece coach still either him or Bobby need to be told their services are no longer required
