  1. Great stuff from Leicester, give away possession deep in our own half, then give away a corner, crowd our own keeper, leave the edge of the box entirely free so at least 3 of their attackers can stand there ready to shoot. Repeat.
  2. Winks, Hamza, Wilf central midfield. WOW, Cooper is going all out for a well earned, ground out 2-0 loss.
  3. Johnstone not being even near the level of Hermansen is the problem with that plan if true.
  4. How many times do I have to go over this. Cooper happily went in to the start of that season with newly signed Turner as first choice and newly signed Vlachodimos as back up when both weren’t good enough to be top level keepers in the Prem - ask a Benfica fan about the Greek lad if you doubt what I say. Basically they signed two Danny Ward keepers. That was a very weak goalkeeping lineup and it proved to be a factor in Forest conceding soft goals. Are you seriously telling me that Cooper had no input into those signings? The new manager, a former keeper, corrects the obvious error straight away with a keeper that makes saves. Cooper was sacked in part because he was happy to go along with the signing of two keepers who were obviously not good enough.
  5. The new manager comes in and he sees what was an obvious major problem and corrects it literally straight away? Where’s the reaching there then? Sells was visibly a way better keeper from the get go. Turner was never good enough, not many fans would’ve thought he looked good from his limited Arsenal career. Cooper selected him, & would’ve had some influence on the keeper he wanted in the transfer window. It was as bad as Rodger’s trusting Ward. I have no agenda against Cooper, I hope he does well but a link with Johnstone after trusting only Ward whilst Mads was away, coming after his last season obvious goalie errors is a worry. What happens if Mads gets poached?
  6. Err you’ve had a mare here. You’ve merely reworded exactly what I said. Cooper was happy to play Turner and the Greek lad. Both were visibly not up to the job. He gets sacked, the new manager comes in and one of his VERY FIRST actions is to replace the poor goalies that Cooper trusted. Ignore the facts mate eh?
  7. Joking apart, I think £8m for this lad playing as a number 10 would’ve been perfect for Cooper’s LCFC. He was underrated in the more physical Championship and he would’ve had less rough treatment in the prem.
  8. He’s average. Can’t see it happening, we don’t need another average keeper ffs. My concern with Cooper from his last season in the premier league with Notts Forest was that he was more than happy to select clearly bang average/poor keepers when we everyone could see that the American Turner and the Greek lad were both liabilities from day 1. As soon as he was sacked the goalie changed to Sels who was clearly a much more secure keeper. If Hermansen wasn’t at LCFC and based on the friendlies, I reckon Cooper would be more than happy to play fellow Welshman Ward despite his selection pretty much guaranteeing relegation.
  9. Whether it’s true or not, the statement lacks class. Embarrassing stuff from his Agent
  10. Way, way too early to lose one of our legends. A vital cog in the development of the team under Nige and the subsequent Premier League win with Claudio and taking us so far in the Champions League. Clearly a great guy as well reading the comments from people who worked with him. Thanks for everything Shakey 😔
  11. Palermo were playing very deep and very compact. They were frustrating us and our total lack of creativity was clear. Maybe Cooper was demonstrating the need for new signings by playing a creativity free midfield.
  12. In a game that lacked creativity it wasn’t encouraging that Cooper gave minimal minutes to young creative players like Alves and Golding and gave way more minutes to the way less creative Hamza, Soumare and Ndidi. Even if Golding and Alves aren’t going to be starters, you would’ve hoped he would be utilising them in a more creative midfield set up until reinforcements arrive. …..But then this is the guy that brought Ryan Yates into the Premier League.😬
  13. Verstergaard played the last ten mins and pinged it around. He’s our best ball playing centre back.
  14. He was also the one that originally gave the ball away to start their attack. Not Ricky’s finest moment.
  15. Got to applaud Coops, looked at the lack of creativity in the 1st half and made a decisive change. Ward.
  16. Yes!!! Wardinho starting this 2nd half!!!!
  17. Winksy’s dead balls have been dead shit if the truth be told.
  18. Typical Danny - straight on your phone, and straight on foxestalk at half time. Put your phone down and listen to Stevie Cooper’s 1st half observations.
  19. Luke Thomas is struggling 😬
  20. Can’t believe this lad has turned down the sights of Lee Circle for the Colosseum, we don’t need a philistine like that at our club ffs.
  21. Maybe ‘Leicester’s going up the league’ For the league (realistic chant for a points deduction season) ‘Leicester’s gonna win the cup’ for the cup games
  22. Even with a points deduction I still thought we had hope but if Daka is our starting striker I’ll take that back. With Daka as our main man we will be well and truly fcuked.
  23. Never saw much of this mythical Phillips number 8 work tbh. He liked to sit deep, ping the odd quarterback pass but mainly the good old short back pass to a centre half or a sideways pass to Rice.
  24. Think he still had an oooh or two, just a bit more half hearted. Not like the original pint sized winger scurrying down the wing in his xxl bukta classic - now he rightly got some proper ooooooohhhs
