I think this is the best idea, VAR can only change a decision based on where on the pitch the feet are placed. Surely then they could make it very accurate and it would provide something tangible to view in terms of 'clear and obvious' or 'daylight' (as there is only so far any human can lean before falling).

I love Nigel Pearson, an absolute legend. I think (and hope) Watford do amazingly now. I think West Ham will be gutted that they have missed a trick on Big Nige. One of my favorite LCFC managers, a big catalyst to our recent successes.

I am sure I saw a goal where he ran half the length of the pitch for wba. But you are right, I can't really remember one for us.

I have a policy of not mocking anyone who supports their local team (regardless if it is a local rival and unless o am mocked by them). In this day and age I have more respect for fans of forest than the glory fans that have helped erode some of that rivalry. However, that said, I always want to finish above them and don't mind seeing them lose!

Winning in the rain, We're winning in the rain, We're Leicester city, And it`s happening again, Because we're (repeat).

Sheffield United remind me a little of us when we got promoted. I heard the statistic that they hadn't lost by more than one goal for over 50 games or so (?). I am hopeful that they (or someone else) might start to help shake up this top 6 notion regularly. Football would be all the better for it imo.

What I never got was why we persisted with Kane when we played the top international teams. Kane is a flat track bully, vardy is a giant killer (and now seemingly both). Seemed odd to me, but unlike rugby it seems the England football teams have always picked the brand not the best players (used to be the players from the biggest clubs, it had now become the elite youngsters).

To be fair, VAR was sold as something that was going to make decision making consistent. What has become clear is that most decisions in football are subjective. The way forward imo is either, 1) It is used only for decisions that are 100% factula. (Eg. Offsides even if it is 1mm). 2) is accepted for subjective decisions based on the assumption some decisions, whilst subjective are better considered under slow motion review. I have come to terms with the fact that an element of subjectivity will remain in VAR decision making now and am much happier with it as a call consequence.

I like how if you include the players who nearly made it, it is essentially most our team!

Whitlow was another. Loved a good Whitlow challenge.

What a fantastic player. I often think we got the best of him (explosive power, direct running and goals- I will never forget Ian walker playing for Tottenham and moving out of the way so he wasn't hit by a Heskey power driver). I always think he suffered a bit playing the support role at Liverpool. (In terms of reputation and ability). I was gutted when he went to Wigan and villa. (Why not come home Emile if you are not playing for an elite club?). I lost a lite love for him (Sven and the golden generation that forgot to be golden!). However I will never forget him helping us out at our lowest. (Administration, ). Emile Heskey, what a legend. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/i-would-been-going-home-3318697

We are very lucky to have Kasper. Has been a fantastic keeper over the years and has grown with us. Comes across as having an amazing attitude and as very professional. I think I heard he is now 15th on the all time appearance list. What a legend.

That's surely got legs as a chant. 'he's better than John, he's better than John. Harvey Barnes, he's better than John.

The penalty rule should be the goal keeper can move wherever they want after the whistle! It would make them a lot more exciting and stop the controversy imo.

Always a first day shock or two somewhere. I think being at home means Liverpool will probably win, however Norwhich are no mugs and have the promotion bounce.
-
First games are always notoriously difficult to call. I think we will win 3-1 (because that is the bet I always put on rather than any prediction about beating Wolves!). Regardless I think both Wolves and Leicester should expect to be ruffling a few feathers this season.

Did we not offer £1 million for him when he had 6 months left on his contracct and they rejected that then refused to play him? (Genuine question)

In Loving Memory Of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

I still struggle to watch this. Heartbreaking ? -
Was it not only a very good piece of defending/anticipation from their left back that stopped him scoring on Saturday? I think he is a good player, nice to see he is starting to get more game time.

It was perfect. the heavens open as we approached the kp. Then as we approached the crash site/memorial the sun shone and a rainbow formed over the kp. It was perfect. RIP Vichai. Xx -
That would be amazing. I am also pleased they are going to do something with the water front, they could make a really good job of it.

I was speaking to my mate at the game about Amartey being off the pace, he pointed out that penalty aside they didn't really create much down that side until amartey was subbed (after there was the one through ball that Pereira had bring their player down and the shaw goal) he was playing devils advocate but he got me thinking a little. -
A very interesting point, it may well be the answer to replacing Mahrez is in both the right back and right wing position, Danny Simpson being the less crucial with his skill set now Mahrez has gone?
-
The best player I have seen play for Leicester for the sheer joy his football brought to me. Riyad Mahrez is the epitome of the beautiful game. Thank you for the memories and goodluck Riyad.

Poll - Stadium expansion after 3 seasons in top flight
lcfc81 replied to DatfoxesKid23's topic in Leicester City Forum
I think a bigger stadium is an important step forward. While we might not fill it always it shows progress, shows ambition, gives us growth capacity and unarguably (tongue in cheek) makes us the biggest club in the East Midlands! I acknowledge there is risk, however the opportunity to legitimately increase capacity doesn't occur often and I think we need to grab it while it is here (or otherwise confine ourselves to a perennial yo-yo club on the upturn for the immediate future).
