Yep, really enjoying it too. Quite a lot of different music styles and ideas to take in (as ever) on first few listens but sounding a really solid album. Looking forward to seeing it like in Manchester. Imagine Marr will be there as a minimum of guests.

Haha, yeh its £250 for the pass and that gets you 4-days of unlimited train travel. Although you do need to book reservations of some journeys. Good way to get across Eurpope really.
-
Out of interest are you using an Interail pass? Been looking at doing a similar sort of trip and it looks like the best way to do it.
-
I'd go Skipp, JJ and Mukasa personally. I think its the best balance of the 3. Winks as an option off the bench if we do want more control, keep a lead etc.

Agreed, beautiful country and so much to explore. Cheap food and wine too!

Stoke (A) 21/02/26: Pre-Match Thread

He made a particular point about players who don''t want to "play for the shirt" wouldn't be in the squad so I'm interested to see if he follows through with that. -
Completely agree. The concstency of it as well, you do well to get a bad meal and I also love the tapas culture of moving round different bars drinking and snacking. Particularly good in the Basque region and Andalucia.

I agree, Jakes does articualte his reasoning very well, but very few fans are anyway near wanting us to be relegated. We don't truly know how catastrophic it could be for the club either. More and more fans are realising that Top is the problem and we need him out, however I personally think it's the wrong move to now start talking about wanting us to be relegated. Completely appreciate the reasons why someone thinks thats the most likely route to force him out though.

Emery was available at the time. Imagine he'd been given the decision making power Rodgers had.

Looking for 2 if possible, cheers. -
Also loved Project Hail Mary. My (new) favourite trilogy of all time is The Three Body Problem by Cixin Liu, which definitely fits into the dystopian/post apocalyptic theme, but it's so much more. It's normally classed as "hard" sci-fi so there is some quite dense science to get through in parts, but it all adds to the plot. It starts out with an alien lifeform deciding to attack earth, yet it will take them 450-years to actually arrive. Genuinely an amazing read and it took me weeks to stop thinking about the ending of the last book, pretty horrowing. It was also made into a Netflix series which is awful and I'd recommend completely avoiding.

Stopped going to matches now, but was The Western. Not a great pub these days by any stretch but convineient more than anything.

Your be surprised how many use a dodgy stick.

Your best bet is The Box in Brindley Place. Pretty soulless but they absolutely loads of screens. Failing that. One of the Blues boozers around St Andrews.

Someone said on Reddit. "unpopular opinion, but I'd take him back" -
We'd have quickly put a stop to that though.

Everyone calm down, this Friday I'm going to the cinema to see Return of the King. It's happening. Cheers, Nige. -
Cheers mate, enjoyed this. Enough to grab a couple of tickets for their Birmingham gig.
-
Yeh really like it as well. Feels a nice balance of Turner's vocal style these days, but with some pre-AM guitars.
-
Haha yeh no worries mate, although was a good 5/6 years since we went.
