  1. The simple answer is we pay players too much in wages. They know that even if they excel here the chances are they won't be offered more money somewhere else, so they have little ambition to push on. There are always exceptions, but most know they are stuck here on the best money they will ever get. Look at Daka's sudden efforts now he knows it's shop window time, when his £70k or whatever it is he earns is soon to end.
  2. Yep, a company that got drunk on it's success, and is still living a lavish lifestyle that was in the most part supported by good player sales. As they got lazy the player trading got worse, and worse still, but they've failed to cut their cloth as a business for 5 years. Spending money like it's fresh air. Losing £200,000 a day but failed to even upgrade the toilets at the stadium.
  3. Allowable losses are things like training ground, academy etc which this announced figure doesn't include. I believe we have to lose less than around £85m for the three seasons we are talking about (2 in PL, 1 in Champions)? The accountants will have to perform a miracle to make us compliant surely?
  4. There seem to be thousands on Facebook who have never been to a game but are experts in all things King Power, they'll be there next season, no doubt about it🥳
  5. Probably not. But saying he isn't liked is a bit unfair, the fans have been more than patient with him, 5 years! I'd say he isn't disliked, but pretty much every fan thinks he's rubbish, and he isn't worth even a tenth of what we paid for him and what he costs in wages.
  6. Rumours are he was on £7k a week at Salzburg and X10 that here. I'm pretty sure his next contract will a lot closer to £7k than what our mugs paid him. Nice guy though.
  7. If he was a Director of Football he'd be John Rudkin.
  8. Technically yes, but considering they finished fourth the two seasons we missed out on Champions League I'd say there is a bearing. Despite the incompetence of KPFC, reaching the CL on either occasion would have made a huge difference to us. No doubt they'll be lawyers from several clubs looking at the possibilities.
  9. No, but my protest has been not going to any games until King Power are gone.
  10. My experience of watching League One is that there are some incredibly efficiently run clubs in there, running on small budgets, but have it down to a fine art. If we end up in there it will be very difficult to compete with teams who are so well practiced at living off scraps.
  11. This is the main reason I'm still willing us to stay up. We often hear he phrase "The club is rotten from top to bottom", but in my experience it really isn't. The vast majority working there are good people, who are mostly isolated from what happens results wise, and have no influence over it. The people who host and look after the academy kids, the teachers the grounds people, the receptionists, security, the cleaners, the cooks, etc etc......all being let down by the so called elite football side.
  12. So what what do they borrow the next lot money against to finance next season? These are payday loans, and the next payday is not happening.
  13. Parachute payments from this point onwards are £0 when you consider next year's payment is already spent courtesy of the Macquarie loan.
  14. He's due another goal in about 30 games so it's a good call😂
  15. The rules were put in place to stop crooks not idiots unfortunately.
  16. TBF he would be ok as kit man, he knows a bit about washing machines.
  17. I'd say I'm surprised, but I'm not. The place is being run by idiots.
  18. I'd imagine his contract will extend automatically if he keeps us up. He be daft to not negotiate that.
  19. It's much better to watch than the half arsed walking football if Cifuentes. I actually cared tonight after seeing proper effort from the players. Carry this on, get JJ back and we have a chance if climbing the League.
  20. On a positive note, we'll be alright in League Two👍🥳
  21. I instantly thought of Elvis Hammond (Ankle) being the worst I can remember, but looking at his scoring record he was much better than Daka😂
  22. I had a season ticket since they became available in the Filbo kop, right through to last season, just a two year gap somewhere in the middle when I had to work on Saturdays. When I emailed to give it up I was genuinely surprised that within a few hours I had a confirmation reply with no questions why, not a phone call, nothing. I wasn't expecting them to beg me to stay😂 but I would have thought that maybe getting the opinions of supporters as they pack it in would be pretty important from a market research point of view? Again I think this may be symptomatic of the condescending way the club views it's supporters. Unless of course they do have leaving surveys and I was just missed?
  23. I'd be very surprised if he is taking training, most of Leicestershire knows someone that works at Seagrave, and there has been no word of yet.
