I wouldn’t be against Ricardo having a rest, as long as it’s Aluko who’s replacing him. Aluko and Jayden Joseph are the future at RB and I hope we take their development seriously. I don’t mind Hamza when he’s coming off the bench to protect a lead and add a bit of bite in midfield. That’s a good role for him at this level.

I really hope he doesn’t get banished to the u21s like Nelson and Page after 1 bad performance. If the clowns in defence can commit mistake after mistake and still get picked then so can Aluko. Keep the faith in the lad and gerrim back in the first team squad when he returns from suspension and develop him properly.

Agreed. Maybe sign a striker on loan & thats it. Replace any outgoings with academy players for now. Eg: Aluko > Kristensen Page > Soumare Evans > Ayew Also, Jayden Joseph & Braybrooke’s loans expire in January. I’d seriously consider keeping them in the squad because Braybrooke is probably an upgrade on Skipp and Joseph has pace which we’re seriously lacking & can cover RB/LB/RW. Notice how for every goal he’s sitting on the last defender. He’d have probably scored more over the years if he just focused on running in behind. But instead our managers contributed to his demise by asking him to become a possession merchant and drop deep to link the play. You have to play to a players strengths and I don’t think any of our managers ever did that with Patson. Now he’s a busted flush, but still our best option at the moment. Leave the link up play to the number 10 and let Patson occupy the last defender and lead the press.

We need to drop Choudhury and Thomas from the squad and replace them with Aluko and Mirsad Ali. At least they’re proper fullbacks who have potential. There is no future with Choudhury and Thomas.
