Interesting after his “I won’t change much” comments that he basically played anti Enzoball! Whether that was a specific tactic for Spurs or his intended style time will tell. Either way I’m glad he played his own game and didn’t try to imitate Enzo as it doesn’t feel like his approach.

Agree we need a bigger target man type number 9, then we only have Buonanotte as a 10 so cover there. Maybe our wing options are ok then.

Feel like we need a ST, 10 (one of which who can cover a wing) and a LB. You’d expect at least one of these being a late loan as clubs look to trim their squads (I’m looking at you Chelsea!). Not sure Ayew covers either of these options.

Before tonight I was convinced we needed a starting LB. Now maybe it’s a young pacy understudy to VK we need who can step in when needed and spend the season developing. Or maybe it’s just one game and let’s see how it goes!

I mean it sounds very boring but him and Winks should give us more control of the midfield and provide us a platform on which to attack. Both offer good ball retention and can dictate the pace (unlike an Ndidi/Hamza who I'd say are more ball winners than users) which given we may well be under the cosh in a lot of matches could prove valuable. We just now need to add the attacking threat - not an easy task. Might not be the signing we wanted, but could be a signing we needed.

Was in town today and was gutted to see what a dump it is. Saw a homeless person smoking something (crack maybe) in a doorway about 10m from the clock tower. Honestly not sure what the answer is but we’re rapidly heading in the direction of some American cities I reckon. So sad to see the decline in the city we grew up in ☹️

He’s a burst of pace off being a decent option. In the same way I’m a bigger bank balance and better appearance off dating a supermodel. Just can’t see him being a real option for us.

If we’ve got any chance of staying up we need to be extremely lucky with injuries, a few players up front to have the season of their careers, to get good at set pieces and to bring some creativity into the squad. Just can’t see where the goals are coming from.
