Picks up high pitched birds better. It can pick up a wren a mile off. i tend to put it on if I hear something different. There is a very noisy Cetti’s warbler near me.Was unsure put it on,and now unmistakable.

I’m quite Good with my birds.Except waders and gulls,but if anyone is interested. there is a wonderful app that is fairly accurate at listening to them. ” Merlin” it’s free. It’s surprising how after a while you learn what call is what without looking. it highlights the bird singing as you are going along. windy days it’s a bit ropey and it will throw in a random every now and then,I got a common crane with a skip lorry reversing once!

God this sounds so uninteresting compared to the predictable, but I had actually been a World Champion at an event that is so odd it puts bog snorkelling in contention as an Olympic sport.It is definitely nothing to brag about. Northern Beaches.i was staying with my mate’s relatives many years ago in Avalon/ Newport right at the top. Ferry across from circular Quay to Manly.Start of the Northern Beaches i don’t know if centre point tower still has a restaurant or observation area,but that was good. if you have time and don’t mind travelling “The Blue Mountains “ are worth a visit.

Absolutely fantastic,i love my cricket and that would have been the icing on the cake for me.Not so much the wife. Kandy is a fantastic city,so if you get a chance to go there,you won’t be disappointed. Happy to put my two penneth in nearer the time.

I went last year and it’s probably one of my best ever holiday's, and I’ve been lucky to travel quite a bit. would definitely go back. we toured quite a bit,with a private guide but was just blown away about everything. where are you going in Sri Lanka? more than happy to give you guidance.
