  1. a long time hero of mine His seminal work - The profanisaurus - will one day be respected for the great work that it is
  2. ah...soz...relaxed now. no - dont go there.... I know what youre going to say
  3. Can honestly say that its been a long time since my arse has been quite so clenched for quite so long a time.... Well done chaps. Onwards and upwards
  4. Try reading that again - "we’ve been in the top four consistently for two seasons" "something is fundamentally wrong at the club" only 5 words in your post seperate those two quotes. I get the point you are making and it IS seriously depressing right now, but something is not 'fundamentally' wrong. The season is not over yet and whilst its still up for grabs we have to stick with it, stay strong and give our all. If it doesn't work out then we need to evolve and improve, rather than over react.
  5. I'm all in on this comment - this thread is tempting fate and I'm 'bricking it' enough as it is
  6. taking the dollar
  7. Disagree. Players cheating is the main problem. Don't absolve them and pass blame on to officials for not spotting the cheating
  8. 100% agree. If there was no sulking
  9. One of the most influential signings we made in that two year period. Others get the glory but Huth really made a difference. It was no coincidence that the great escape occurred after he came in.
  10. We shouldn't make any sort of judgment on young players until they've had a decent run of games of course, but, Thomas, who has benefited from a few games looks like he's capable of really becoming a very good player indeed. I also thought Tavares showed some flashes of quality yesterday. Bodes well.
  11. Spot. On. My only add would be an obvious one, and one Im sure we can all recognise and agree on and that is that the ownership and strategic direction of the club is top notch. It doesn't mean every day is an upward curve but the trajectory as been relentless overall
  12. you saw no effort or endeavour but we managed to turn it around? How did we do that then without any effort or endeavour?
  13. Some people's expectations and associated statements on here are bordering on ArsenalFanTV levels of nonsense. For Leicester to compete, as we are, in a finance dominated league, is unbelievable and almost every other club and their fans are looking at us with envy and asking "Why isnt that us?" or "Why cant that be us?" Despite our issues we are competing with the likes of Liverpool Man U, Chelsea, and beyond Spurs and Arsenal. Wow...seriously just take a step back and acknowledge how much that spoils Sky Sports global branding efforts! We arent supposed to do this or be able to do it and that just shows how well, in reality the club, the managers and the players are doing. Rogers has done and continues to do a first rate job with the resources he has. In the last two years he has improved us immeasurably, but the squad quality is thin. The first 11 is excellent but beyond that we tail off and both this season and last we have been hit cruelty with injuries which means when it comes to the crunch time of the season we don't have that first 11 out, fully fit and unfatigued on he pitch. The club has invested, in my opinion, sensibly and for the long run. We don't have unlimited funds to bring any player we want in ,or to collect them like Man City and Chelsea. In addition we clearly have a recruitment policy that is successful more often than not and maintaining that strategy clearly means we aren't playing fantasy football or fifa manager - its not easy to bring the players in that you want and it will take time to develop squad depth all other factors considered. We all have ambition, but it needs to be tempered with some reality. Winning the league, fantastic as it was, was an anomaly; the planets aligned and god knows what else. Last year, other than that title win, was the best finish the club had ever had, despite all our disappointments. This year, we are in that mix again, but again squad depth and injuries are having an impact. But we are in it which in my opinion is remarkable and a sign of continued progression. Just my opinions...
  14. oh no it isnt......................Nobody puts big nige in the corner!
  15. yep - such an important point. Im 100% with you on this.
  16. I really don't like this - it normalises cheating where as it should be penalised and those consistently guilty vilified. I know its probably not going to happen but I'll stick with my opinion about what should happen
  17. or when Marne threw himself theatrically to the ground in the last min
  18. Still not sure what happened there! Thought Liverpool where much the better team for most of the game and i was disappointed in the way we played. We seemed to lack confidence and going forward was very poor...or so it seemed during the emotional roller coaster that is watching it in real time. However, when you look at the chances and not just the possession I feel a different picture emerges and one that provides evidence that, where it matters, the game was much more of a level affair. As we well know, possession alone doesn't win games or leagues
  19. thinking whether to read the rational and considered opinions on foxestalk today........
  20. "You'll be an Horticultural Operative..how does that sound?" "Sounds super special and very high tec..What does it involve? Do i get a gun?" "err...well you rake the leaves up and empty the bins. Maybe get to mow the lawn."
  21. Thanks for giving us your thoughts Kelechi
  22. No. Not that he hasn't been a tremendous centre forward, but because every signing is a cog that must fit in the machine - technically and personally. Its never about the player and always about the club and the team. Costa is, or has been, a great player but I dont think his profile (technical and personal) fits our machine
  23. Im' not a betting man myself and my maths might be a bit shaky, but those are odds for each (either/or league and FA Cup) and not for both. By my reckoning the odds of both is 0.006% or 6/1000, or about 166/1...perhaps somebody will tell me that my maths is indeed very shaky!! :-)
  24. Im not sure about that......Every defender makes the odd error. Evans is consistent and doesn't make many. I have to disagree with you and say I don't see that in him at all and I think you're being overly harsh in your assessment
  25. Is it just me or does Martin Tyler need putting out of our misery? I think his time has long passed. Cliched beyond belief, condescending and a big club sycophant
