Personally I also think that all those claiming we don't care, whether here or on Forest/Derby forums, are just providing evidence that they do really. More to the point.and why not...it adds so much more to a game when playing a team that is geographically reasonably close and/or for which there are historic rivalries. Just because we are not directly competing with some teams doesn't mean there is nothing in the game or something extra to be added to it. Its good fun.

I wish I were as confident....but.....how times have changed

Danny Simpson, as a stalwart of that team, deserves some consideration, but even so, its nice to hear his positive comments about the club generally. They behave with a strong moral compass and long may it continue. The more I hear the more I'm proud it's 'my' club.

He has a few flaws, reluctance to come off his line springs to mind, but overall he has been absolutely fantastic for us, both on and off the pitch. Top keeper and leader. -
spot on! For reasons others have said, we will never be a 'big club'. Not located in a major city nor do we have the glamorous history. I couldn't give two hoots though as this is my club and I quite like it the way it is. It still feels like a club with local ties and not some global corporation that happens to trade in football

there are those on this forum who have want Rodgers out - never under estimate the impact of social media in broadcasting breathlessly incomprehensible ideas and thoughts to other breathlessly incomprehensible people. Pigeon shouters of the world unite!!

oh come on - how long have you been watching?

Agreed....... if he improves his finishing. He misses so many, but, on the very positive side, he is also constantly getting in that position. Has real potential to be more than just a good player. He could be devastating

had you been a very naughty boy?

i still struggle with the concept that we are even in these conversations (even though I know we are there on merit) - this is Leicester after all. everytime I think about i come back to the same thought...We do owe these owners so much. So many have contributed in so many ways, but ultimately it all comes back to the owners
-
Let them say what they want. Who cares - I seem to remember a similar dismissal a few years back. That having been said, I do think they are right when they suggest that the impact of us losing Vardy for a prolonged period would be greater than Spurs losing Kane. just my opinion

to hard - but Im certain that Morgan has to be on it. Premier League winning Captain makes it a no brainer.

That's pretty much all international football isnt it?

its a good job you aren't in charge then. Perhaps worth recalling how wrong you were next time we have a hiccup. You're not alone in not thinking through how much of what you think you believe to be the case is, in reality much more likely to be just things you are making uip in your own mind. Sorry if this comes over as a pop against you - not really intended that way even though I know it seems so. I just couldn't wordsmith the point I wanted to make better

what...backwards.........?

Great result and great couple of weeks. That said, if that pen was given against us we would all be proper 'fewmin'. Still take it though obvs -
Just a personal view but I think this is the most credible scenario. Its also a shame as I have no doubt he (Pochettino) would be the right man and probably stop their highly entertaining plummet.
-
its worth remembering that it took some vision and confidence in Vardys capability to transfer non league form to Championship/Premiership and some time for him to actually do it. It sometimes seems as though he's unique but there has to be others capable of it. The problem, I guess, is that the law of averages says your going to have more misses than hits if you take a punt.

No Idea in truth, but, opinion wise no it doesnt

Think Wilf is the preferred option but you are dead right in that Mendy has been pretty good. Last night he was excellent -
They're business not football clubs. Highly unlikely there is anything altruistic in this, so I will approach with extreme scepticism until proven otherwise

Bad day at black rock. We didn't play well and they played very well. Put it behind us and move on - lets have a response in the next game and not forget that we have a very good team. Its not the end of the world, but what we do next is very important
-
Good news but good luck to him. Been professional through out as far as we know and not his fault that the whole thing started so badly.

He's just been transparent. These are key drivers for almost every footballers decisions. It's a job and, like any inherently competitive person, you want to reach the top and be compensated the most you can get
