I'd hazard a guess it's this. If anything it's also achieving another thing we've wanted as fans: To shine a light on the fact that we might have "good" owners, but we are not "well run" behind the scenes due to not having who we need back there. I suppose if a new Director of Football came in, he technically wouldn't be in charge of the rebuild? He would instead be more of the Head Coach than the Manager, like Pep is at Man City. Perhaps I'm being too optimistic there though!

I think the most work we have to do is that backline. Need a lot more pace if we do push that high up the pitch. Although arguably we won't be able to push that high up against PL sides. Either way, we need defenders who are good on the transition.

What Enzo seems to want is exactly what all of us fans have been clamouring for for years: A refresh in the upper echelons of the club, displacing Rudkin from DoF and installing someone who can actually mastermind the remoulding of our club. I'd love us to be a club that actually had identify, competence at director level, and a desire to bring through youth. I'll continue to dream until it happens 🤞🏻

I don't think there should be really. Match was rubbish, other threads can cover what happened (Albrighton leaving, Champions, Vardy TIFO etc). Mods should just delete any attempts at a post-match thread 😉.

I agree on the performance, but if it was a shoot out for the title I don't think we would have played like that, or had as many goodbyes cameos. Losing that many as Champions is odd, but we just don't draw games—that's why. It's win or bust.

He recently thanked Iheanacho and Daka in an interview for helping him with his shooting practice (I think it was mentioned in that post-match interview, in fact?) I'm fairly sure Iheanacho has a habit of slowing down before striking the ball, so would make sense if that was the case.

This has got to be an FFP play. They've factored it into accounts, and now have to collect it to help with revenue streams. It being donated to a charity will now also look good for FFP too, I'm sure, when in reality it's just robbing Peter to pay Paul. Really disappointing response from the club to what seemed a very fair ask from fans.
