Guest MattP Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Is it possible to wear your Boss jeans to the pub or is that a no go? Depends which pub, you should always consider the location you are going to do and dress accordingly. A guy was wrestled to the floor in the Lamplighters and had his shoes nicked a few years ago, not only is the theft a nuisance but you'll look a right tit walking through town with no shoes on. Places like Aylestone rugby club have a strict 'no underpants' rule, you can't get caught short these days, you can end up in a very uncomfortable situation. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/rugby-union/26367472 The RFU has fined Leicester amateurs Aylestone St James £1,575 for "forcibly removing the underwear" of three anonymous north east-based officials. The incident took place at Aylestone's Covert Lane clubhouse after a Midlands Three East (North) match with Grimsby. The referee was unaware of a tradition that patrons should wear no underpants. Several club players and members then "ripped off his underwear whilst he was still wearing trousers" and two other officials arrived to the same welcome. In one of the officials' written statement, he described the experience as "humiliating and embarrassing", and said he suffered "12 hours of some discomfort and pain". Aylestone stated to the disciplinary panel, who described the act as "a physical assault", that "the club deeply regretted the referees were subjected to discomfort and/or humiliation". Of the £1,575 fine, £1,000 was a voluntary donation by the club to the charity of the officials' choice.

I don't tend to go in the lamplighters so I should be okay.
Finnegan Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 To be fair, Jimmies are considered nuts even in rugby circles.
Ollie93 Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 And that's why everyone hates rugby I don't hate rugby?
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 I don't hate rugby? You'd like to think that, wouldn't you

Stevosevic Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Duffer to doss around in, Levis for the pub or midweek going out. Boss for weekend smart-casual/town night outs. There is a man with style and sense of occasion I'm the same, i have clothes that i wear for certain occasions. The jeans i wear to the football or shopping on a saturday i wouldn't wear on a night out.
Rob1742 Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Dsquared - amazing, the best you can get. Every style and design you could ever wish for.
RonnieTodger Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 As a kid, I thought skinny jeans looked ridiculous but I can't imagine wearing anything else now.
Rob1742 Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Phillip Plein have done some great ones where the rivets are little skulls. They are superb, but still think dsquared beats them due to the total range on offer.

I've only just started to wear jeans again, Levi 501's originals if I can get them, inch / 1/2 inch turn ups sown in with dessies, is a good casual look. Although judging what some wear thesedays I think jeans would be considered 'dressed up'. Saw someone yesterday in a red bikers tracksuit top, camouflage 3/4 length shorts, and flip flops, the mind boggles.

purpleronnie Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 Nailed on polish. Actually he lives not far from me and is very much English.
Strokes Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 511s or any half decent looking ones from river island. I try to get grey jeans, if poss.
BoneDog Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 I pray to Our Saviour The Lord for the day when men see the truth once again and skinny jeans for blokes are sneered at. Mind you, when that day comes it won't be because the majority have seen sense it will be because some fashion guru with weird clothes and hair has said it's so, and you'll all be wearing something else like dungarees or bowler hats with spandex tank-tops. HOT STUFF!!
Wymsey Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 I couldn't imagine ever wearing baggy jeans Aye, can't stand those whose boxers can be widely seen in public.
BoneDog Posted 29 May 2015 Posted 29 May 2015 I don't wear baggy ones, just loose I'd say. Some of those baggy ones are way too wide for my liking. I don't know how people can be comfy in those skinny ones, I'd feel awful with the denim squeezing the thighs and whatnot. I like the air to flow and to be able to bend down, stretch and move freely. Can you even do a star-jump?
