ramboacdc Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Anyone received theirs yet? i completly forgot i had ordered this!
Aus Fox Posted 1 July 2015 Posted 1 July 2015 Biggest issue at the club currently, maybe this is why Pearson got the boot? The owners put Vardy and Cambiasso on the front cover, Big Nige went all Romanian Wild Dogs on them, Pearson gets the boot. In good news though the arguement is settled and you should get your DVD within a week (with Vardy and Cambiasson on the front).
premier blues Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 This is fast becoming a joke pre ordered my copy, the advert stated available end of June. I rang up Wednesday was initially told they would arrive on Friday the 3rd only for the guy to tell me when i said to him "so i can pick it up on Saturday " he then said " no because it could be Monday . I then said " so can i pick it up on Tuesday then" he then no your best to come in on Wednesday in case they don't come in on Monday. I now see the club will email everyone who has pre ordered when the dvd is in stock. I HOPE THE CLUB ARE MORE CLEAR WITH THERE MANAGERIAL APPOINTMENT. BUT COULD BE ANY DAY THIS YEAR I GUESS
CosbehFox Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 Stick it down under away shirts, ticket office and various other inadequacies that the club has failed to improve on time after time.
Guest MattP Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 They are being sent out soon after some small changes to the content. To make sure the fans know exactly who was responsible for the success of last season the football has been edited out and it's 45 minutes of watching Vichai signs cheques.
sdb Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 forgot about this too. Definitely gonna be bittersweet viewing.
Ricey Posted 7 July 2015 Posted 7 July 2015 We are seriously slack with stuff like this. No Blu-Ray version either, the club still lives in 2004 with stuff like this. Why not make available as a HD digital download? No waiting for the copies to be delivered, no extortionate postage & packing costs and a better quality end product.
Devonfox1884 Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I'd imagine they need to change a couple of bits due to NP's sacking, hence why it is late coming out.
Stevosevic Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 It will probably be shit anyway. The Champions DVD was a poor effort.
Soar Fox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 It will probably be shit anyway. The Champions DVD was a poor effort. Correct. For the season we had the champions dvd was extremely poor. I genuinely saw better YouTube efforts than what the club produced.
Footballwipe Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Correct. For the season we had the champions dvd was extremely poor. I genuinely saw better YouTube efforts than what the club produced. There's no excuse this season. None whatsoever. Why they can't go and get permission to use BBC's MOTD edits and commentators, like they used to in previous PL years, rather than having some half-arsed studio commentator with about as much excitement and authenticity as a sedated James Milner. All they need to do is get the permission, slap it all together and print. I'll also be angry if they airbrush NP from the content of the review, too.
Guest LCFC_World Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Its because they are taking out everything Nigel Pearson which is a shame.
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Anything think they would have the balls to photoshop Top's head onto Pearson's?
shade Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 Anything think they would have the balls to photoshop Top's head onto Pearson's? or photoshop top's balls on to pearson's head
filbertfoxy00 Posted 8 July 2015 Author Posted 8 July 2015 They are definitely up to something. I've phoned a couple of times and in my opinion they are clearly lying when they blame a manufacturers delay. I don't know how many they produce but in DVD terms it will be a very small run and would be completed by DVD manufacturers within a day or two after the master recording was handed over. The hardest part is tucking the covers into the plastic cases. I was not a fan of Pearson but if they erase him from the recent seasons history it will be a disgrace and in my opinion unforgivable. I agree with the above too, last seasons effort was terrible and looked like it was filmed on a 1990's 1st gen camera phone.
Soar Fox Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I'd probably say a few people are right when saying they are probably getting rid of any Nigel Pearson content from it. I would have loved to have seen some behind the scenes footage of when all the players and staff were laughing about ostrich gate and the balloon head comment.
Footballwipe Posted 8 July 2015 Posted 8 July 2015 I know it sounds all nostalgic, but look back at all the efforts in the past and it's amazing to see how reviews have regressed over the years . Back in the old days they had cheesy electro music, a proper narrator, the odd interview, decent season review commentary mixed with real commentary from live games, all the goals (though on some seasons games were skipped, like 7-1 v Newcastle and they showed a decent amount of what needed to be seen, especially when it was all tape and you had constraints about production costs. 1997/98 an example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u-PR9IOJ1nk It's almost too easy for them now, which is the problem. No effort needs to go into them and as a result it shows. I guess at least they reflect this in the £10 pricetag, but it's ironic that as technology improves, our season review quality has dipped. (There's a whole other thing about production companies, like VSI making good ones for us and Carlton, PDI not so much, but that's really over analysing something that really doesn't need to be over analysed!)
Soar Fox Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Just had an e-mail available to collect from 9am tomorrow.
Devonfox1884 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Finally. Looking forward to that coming through the post tomorrow.
Ricey Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Not a chance they'll be removing Pearson from the DVD, it will have been finished ages. It takes a few weeks to manufacture and deliver all the copies. If they made changes to remove Pearson then you'll be waiting until August for the finished peoduct.
Fox92 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Hate paying postage but going to have to. Looked on Amazon and it's not listed there.
shade Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 Hate paying postage but going to have to. Looked on Amazon and it's not listed there. crazy mentality, if you're not paying postage then the shipping will be reflected in the price.
Fox92 Posted 9 July 2015 Posted 9 July 2015 crazy mentality, if you're not paying postage then the shipping will be reflected in the price. It's £4.75, always thought that's quite expensive for a little DVD.
