David Hankey Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Claudio Raneieri has stated he wants to end his career here. Let's hope that doesn't come too soon as we want a long period of stability after all the shenanigans of the close season.

FireFox Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 "I've been to one or two restaurants. An Indian and and one English, I think. Yes, I tinker with where I eat too."
MattyFromLE Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Y'know I like him, actually! He plays the media game really well. Him wanting to end his career here I think is a good thing. He won't want to go "out" with a whimper.
cc_star Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 If he keeps calling us "a little club" 3 times in prematch press conferences.... Looking at his 2nd and 3rd year record with clubs for the past decade it may be sooner than he hopes Anyway! C'mon CR & up the Citeh.
Finnaldo Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 If he keeps calling us "a little club" 3 times in prematch press conferences.... Looking at his 2nd and 3rd year record with clubs for the past decade it may be sooner than he hopes Anyway! C'mon CR & up the Citeh. He's managed Chelsea, Inter Milan, Roma and Monaco. In comparison, we are a little club to be fair. Also sounds like he plans to be here for a few years as well, which is always promising.
Foxhateram Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I think he was trying to reassure us that he is going to be here a while and envisages his retirement here. Typical media have twisted his words. He seems like a great guy, slowly he is starting to dismiss my initial doubts. Here's to a great season.
Sampson Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 Remember when Capello said he'd retire after he finished with England? It means nothing.
Molly Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 One way or the other I think he will retire here. I think he intends to give it his all to show that the last few years are not a true reflection on his ability. Succeed and he plays out his remaining years in charge here. Fail and he takes to his garden.
Jon the Hat Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 I like the guy, he seems very genuine, and keen to do well with us.
Lestoh Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 inb4 we win the league and Greece reappoint him as their returning hero, destined to lead them to the coveted World Cup trophy, only to lose in the first round of knock-outs to eventual winners, the Faroe Islands.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 he'll see out his contract, can't see him doing more than 3 here or in management in general
Fox Ulike Posted 7 August 2015 Posted 7 August 2015 he'll see out his contract, can't see him doing more than 3 here or in management in general 3 games? I have to say I think he's made a really positive start to his time here (as long as the Nugent rumours aren't true). It will be interested to see his team selection and tactics tomorrow...
