A slower version would be better as said above, the crowd singing is too fast anyway. And I think that a hood example is the scousers with YNWA because that's fairly slow, and you can tell that if it wasn't played over the tannoy they would be singing it too fast as they tend to speed up at the end...

I really don't want any song associated with Leicester.

I find it so cringe worthy when Liverpool play You'll never walk alone. I mean.. look it up on youtube. Listen to it. Its terrible. Oooh quick lets all get our lighters out and get emotional and wave our flags and scarfs.

Songs can become outdated fairly quickly and you end up like liverpool stuck with a terrible song that the rest of the country laughs at and when you just don't know when or how to stop playing it...

Its a good job they have hope in their heart because there's not been one bloody ounce of it on the pitch last season

I'm pretty sure this post comes from anti-Liverpool stance more than anything else.

I don't know anyone who laughs at them for YNWA, in fact most people think it's brilliant.

All anthems are shit songs but so are a lot of standard football chants. The great thing about them is they're unique to a club and if sung passionately enough, sound amazing.

I agree in terms of we need a new version recording really.

The old ones are good but perhaps need a bit of tinkering (wehey) to be right for a pre-match song.

For example, as I said on another thread, a mixture of these two would be perfect:

Is anyone who's good with this sort of thing able to slow the Sinatra one down and upload it?

A slower recording....Sound extracted from the Sinatra uploaded video and I've edited slowed by around 10%....... I may have been a little guilty of trying to add a "stadium" feel to it link to mp3 file :crylaugh: :

And the same file with echo effect removed and just a bit of reverb added......

Hey Jude needed scrapping 3 years ago, why do they even play that rubbish? It's a shame as they build the game up great these days, since the TV was installed the pre match video etc, then when we're all ready for kick off Hey Jude is blasted out. I'd even take Jersey Budd if we can't have the original, at least it has some relevance.

Couldn't agree more. Actually, rather than Liverpool, I was thinking of Everton and that awful 'Grand old team' shite. If we must have WYS how about just singing it. Oh, and by the way, can we get rid of 'Hey Jude' too please?

I would like to hear it sung sometime before kick-off but can't see it fitting into the gap when Hey Jude is played. Scrap Hey Jude and keep PHG going up to kick-off. Find a suitable version of WYS to be sung earlier in the build-up.

would love it to be played but alas it is quickly becoming a dying song. The youth don't know it and those that do, sing it at 100 miles an hour. Please don't let this anthem die. I sign most of my tweets #WYS

Thought on Saturday the airing of WYS just after kick off was the best its been at home for years.

Which isn't really saying much. But its better than nothing I suppose.

I don't see the club doing anything about it which is a shame. I think as someone else said that it needs to be fan organised. Yes the jersey Budd version isnt great but its better than nothing. Lets get it played prematch for a start.

What is the whole song thing all about anyway? Is it about tradition and a sense of identity? is it to make the fans feel good? If i was a West Ham fan, I wouldn't want to sing that baby song bubbles. I like the PHG, I like the showing of previous goals and commentary on the screen. Leave it at that, it's not Leicester City is it.

I think it's a brilliant song and very powerful. I'd like my coffin to leave the church to that. Although not for a fair few years please.
