FrankieWorthoYaggedMyWife Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 surely we have purchased Kante to play out wide when Hammond clearly isn't even in the plans this year. lol He is a centre midfielder. But where did he play on saturday fookpig?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Bury score and leak goals for fun. I can see this being 3-3 or summat. Potentially you could be right ColDefinitely won't be an easy game IMO
LCFC FOX Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 What about Do do do do do do do do do do do do do Joe! Replacing bounce with joe. Everyone jumping up and down to that imagine it
Thracian Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Thrac I don't think we are being flippant about this cup. I would love to see us win it again. The second string we are capable of putting out this season seems stronger overall than previous seasons so I would trust the managers decision. We will see having said that as the application has to be spot on aswell It's the manager's choice whatever and, yes, we do seem stronger. But the manager thought we were strong enough to beat Shrewsbury and Burton yet it didn't happen. The trouble is that winning football really requires an integrated as well as a capable team and just picking 11 "good" names out of a squad list doesn't necessarily make for a winning hand. I want to see the likes of Chilwell, Kramaric, Kante and Inler as much as everyone else but also want us to approach the task of winning with a sound attitude. Just putting people in teams because they haven't had much match time yet doesn't wash with me. Preparation should be on the training ground. They can play as many full or small-sided games as they like at Belvoir Drive. The only team we should pick for tonight should be one we have reason to believe is fit enough and structured enough to win.
Thracian Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Liam Moore started 0 games as right back last season. He came on for de Laet for one game against Southampton and got a yellow card 4 minutes later. He went on loan and played CB for Brentford. Had a look what position he played for the U21s and that was CB too. But interestingly he played CDM for one game against Man City U21. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/spielbericht/index/spielbericht/2482043 I think it's safe to presume he won't be a top right back just from this alone but have you ever seen him play right back? Looks super uncomfortable but thats just my opinion. And a sound one judging by what I've seen of him at right back.
Larry_LCFC Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 We are lucky in that a total second string squad will have a huge amount to prove in order to try and secure a first team place. Can be very easy to lose competitiveness in a lower opposition Tuesday night cup game. Think we'll go out all guns blazing.
tylesta Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Half of these players want to show Ranieri that they belong in first XI. I can't see us losing thisBurton albion
NewquayFox Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Can't see Hammond starting tonight, Inler & Kante centre midfield with Dodoo & Fuchs/Chilwell wide, Leo & Kram up top with Moore, Benny, Was & Fuchs/Chilwell across the back, oh & Maddison.... Up the City....
les-tah Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 I'm guessing a stream would be a long shot Is it on tv anywhere in the world?
LCCFox96 Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Looking forward to this game with a complete new 11. I'd be nervous about it with last season squad but with the likes of Inler, Kante, Fuchs, Ulloa and Kramaric all almost certainly playing I'm not worried. Shows how much we've come on from last season.
Foxymcoxy Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Is it on tv anywhere in the world? Last season it was possible to get every league cup game, but not sure if it started as early as this round.
Lesteban Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 The team picks itself here doesn't it? If you exclude the players from last nights development game and starting xi from the weekend as Ranieri stated, knowing that Dodoo starts, we only have 11 players to take up the remaining 10 spots. The only real question is whether Simpson will play or not. Unless there's a knock we don't know about, it's him or Chilwell who are likely to miss out.The 12 possible players: Schwarzer; Simpson, Was, Fuchs, Benalouane, Chilwell; Hammond, Kante, Inler, Kramaric, Ulloa, Dodoo. It would be nice to see a decent free-to-air TV station buy the rights to this cup, the BBC did an excellent job re-invigorating the FA cup last year. If it could be watched more widely, it might be taken more seriously. It's hard to get excited about a compeition that many people don't get to watch.EDIT: Liam Moore didn't play last night, it was Elliot Moore, so Liam could play tonight, although with the interest from Leeds he could be left out.

Lesteban Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Liam moore? My bad, that was Elliot Moore playing last night.
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Is it on tv anywhere in the world? no not this round - http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/
les-tah Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 no not this round - http://www.livesoccertv.com/schedules/ ah cool then a stream would be near impossible
urban.spaceman Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 It's very important for Kramaric, Inler, Kante, Benalouane, Fuchs, Wasylewski & hopefully Moore (still have high hopes for him) to get 90 mins under their belt so I hope he finds a decent blend of those players and some yoof. Looking forward to players like Chilwell and Dodoo getting a chance to show what they can do Love Ranieri's attitude towards giving these guys a chance, especially as that then opens some slots in the U21s to give even younger players some game

It’s a fantastic chance for Joe. 'He’s been wanting that chance and he feels like he’s ready for it and he deserves it. We all know the potential he’s got, so he’s going to get his opportunity against Bury. 'Players like Joe have got to take those opportunities. The manager has been good enough to pick him, so he’s got to perform. He’s got to show he can handle it.' Larry_LCFC Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Don't particularly agree with playing Dodoo. Got enough players from the main squad who need game time.
davieG Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Don't particularly agree with playing Dodoo. Got enough players from the main squad who need game time. "Quick and powerful Dodoo can play on the wing or as a central striker" Not on the wing we haven't so maybe that's where he'll start.
Larry_LCFC Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 Not on the wing we haven't so maybe that's where he'll start. Yeah maybe. Will be interesting to see how he copes and fits in, but I struggle to see anyone breaking through from the under 21's into the first team squad with the quality that we have now in the near future. I certainly think it's important Krammy and Ulloa get their chance upfront tonight.
filbertstreet Posted 25 August 2015 Posted 25 August 2015 so does anyone know what the actual squad is for tonight yet
